The factors needed to be considered for this include the obvious ones such as potential loss of size, scarring, changes to sensation/EQ, and long term reliability of the fix.

From anyone here knowledgable in the topic, or speaking from experience, what do you think is the best current treatment available for CC?

(From what I do know, I personally think STAGE sounds the most promising but I could be wrong)

Thing is i don't think much has been done to help cure congenital penis curves. There is alot being done to help peyronies which is understandable because it comes with some nasty side effects etc. I also think congeital is equally quite rare although i've only read that. When i say congential i mean severe curves like 30 degrees+. Therefore not many people are really seeing the need to look for alternatives to the Nesbit except STAGE. I mean when i spoke to my urologist at the NHS hospital nearest to me (ended up speaking to 2 of them) they hadn't even heard of the STAGE technique. It's obviously not high on their priority list. Bare in mind one of them is a senior doctor.
Some people have managed to cure their curve using jelqing/extenders/pumping but this is not advised. Mr krueas (sorry for the terrible attempt on spelling) said it's unsafe etc. I think the only methods/cures are nesbit stage.
Anyone else know any kind of methods because i too can't seem to find any others either.

Ok i literally just found this. They seem to have a simular thing going as STAGE and have been doing the op for over 20 years and like STAGE don't seem to have any real risks? I haven't read it fully but take a look. I'm pretty sure it's for natural and not peyronies.

Cheers Stevew87,

I've sent an email their way with a few questions. You're right in the fact that there isn't much awareness or solutions regarding congenital curvature but luckily, some excellent procedures have surfaced after the turn of the century and offer far superior alternatives today, even to what was available 10 years ago. So perhaps we are quite lucky. It does seem like it is a lot more straightforward to treat congenital curvature as opposed to Peyronies?

It's alot simpler. They have to deal with plaque of which if not removed properly can still cause the curve and also plaque can grow back etc. Trust me from what i've read you'd much rather have a congential curve.

Hahaha this curvature is enough of a hardship as it is. If I contracted peyronies on top of CC, or after I got it straightened, I would probably laugh at how cruel it all was. It has definitely caused me to become far more aware about the condition and even after I fix my *problem* I'm aiming to actively contribute to this site, after knowing what's it like, it really gives you certain perspective.

I'll post information about the german technique in this thread when I receive a reply

I don't think you can contract peyronies unless you get an injury which you will know about. Don't worry if it curves like a banana and you have no pain it's congential. I too have contacted them and told them to tell me the difference between them and STAGE... they have been apparently doing it for 20 years, no penis size loss... but it works with 90% of patients... stage is like 98.7% or something. plus the cost is like massive.... it was either 11000 or 18000 euros... the surgery costs not much but staying at the hospital added like 10 grand... Even if the german one is slightly better i will still go with STAGE. I mean 3-4mm loss of penis length to keep like 11000+... not including appointment... travel.... having to stay there... think it's worth it. Also i don't even know if the german one is better so... there pretty similar i think.

I'll wait on their reply before i post some concrete info.

But if the only difference is a millimetre or two in length saved, that probably doesn't justify paying double at all. Just my opinion

I think it's pretty sad that senior urologists don't know about things like the STAGE technique. I mean i bet i'm not the only teen who has gone to seen one about their penis curve of which i doubt would have done as much research as me. Not going to start a campaign or anything haha but yeah... i guess it's meant to be pretty rare and it's not exactly life threatening. Theses companies seem to be slow on the response. I guess they have a fair few customers/busy doing operations and talking to people after the surgery... i mean i think most people would send a few emails after having it done... i mean your penis will look pretty weird i'm guessing after. I mean i dunno unless your no getting circumcision maybe not?
Which leads me to ask... are there scars after the surgery? I heard there is but they go, only circumcision ones stay.

I don't think you can contract peyronies unless you get an injury which you will know about.

Not always. Dr. Levine shared statistics with me that 60% of men he has diagnosed with Peyronies (not congenital curvature) don't konw or recall any trauma. The problem is that the trauma could have occurred months prior to the Peyronies presenting itself. So this makes it even more difficult to correlate a trauma event that triggers Peyronies.

I think by looking at the actual shape of the penis determines it pretty well. All penises i have seen (pictures obviously) with peyronies the curve is very sharp all of a sudden. There also tends to be a bit of a buckle. With congential my penis included the curve is like a banana and smooth. I don't think you can have peyronies with a banana curve.

Steve

Peyronies coming in any imaginable and not imaginable shapes, curves, sharp bends, twists, hourglass.
My banana like up curve is very smooth from the pubic bone to the glans and it is Peyronies.

Really? The people did a full examination and me and felt no plaque etc and also said you are too young to have peyronies. I heard sometimes you can't always feel plaque but he is a senior urogists there... i mean my curve is only 30 degrees and my penis is bigger on top. Is there stilll any chance of me having peyronies?

I think banana curve is for congenital penile curvature because this kind of penis are bigger.

In Peyronie cases, the size of the curved penis are smoller than congenital penile curvature penis.

Are you?

My penis before before my downward curved emerged... increased during puberty when my penis got more girth... has always been 7 inches. And when i stretch out my penis it is a good 7 inches. So i haven't lost size, no pain, no plaque, banana curve, no weird shaping. I'm just hoping to get STAGE surgery as soon as i can. If you live in the UK you can get (they said i should be able to) get it funded by the NHS.

Excuse me. My English is not very good.

I wanted to say "banana" the curvature is mostly in cases of congenital penile curvature because the size of penises in this case are higher.

In the case of Peyronie's the opposite, because they have fibrous plaque and penis is smaller and the curves are not significant those of congenital penile curvature
