Auxilium left the data out of all of their presentations (surprise surprise) - despite measuring the penis in every visit - but Dr. Gelbard must have had more access than the average person.

Xiaflex will NOT restore length, on average vs. placebo.  But to be fair, neither will plication & maybe with traction after this, it might.

The link you have posted is the commercial site of doctor Gelbard.
Sponsored by Martin Gelbard MD in support of Research, Knowledge, and Clinical skills for Effective Treatment.
Links to commercial sites are not allowed on the forum, but as he is a known Peyronies doctor, personally I don't have any objections.
Other administrators/moderators may think different.
Also forum opinions are divided regarding his professional results.

James-

.org sites in the US are usually reserved for non-profit, non-commercial sites which would fall in line with Gelbard's primary intent with the site which is to inform. So I think it's safe.

Surgical treatments almost always make it shorter. So Xiaflex wins over those at least since it doesn't seem to shorten further.

Unfortunately, even the site is .org, is a pure commercial website.

It's the site of an US doctor. Don't they all have some commercial interests? It's America afterall. ;-)

The only difference between his site and this one is that you can schedule an appt. with his office. So yes, I guess he is technically offering a commercial service as emasculated pointed out.

But to get back on topic, Gelbard was a leader in the xiaflex trials and personally showed me the patient's pictures who gained 4 cm back. Certainly not the regular result, but a possibility none the less. The amount of elasticity you have with peyronies could contribute to gaining some length back.

Your statement bellow is very much misleading:
QuoteThe only difference between his site and this one is that you can schedule an appt. with his office.
This site is a discussion site that everyone can express his view that we may learn from each other.
Dr. Gelbard site is not a discussion forum. Is a site that guiding you to get an appointment and a proposal for treatment.
Pure commercial.
No one on our forum proposing you any kind of treatment that he/she will have a profit from it.

James-

What I meant by my statement s that both sites are meant to provide information. The use of bolded letters is unnecessary. Dr. Gelbard has a question and answer forum that suggests certain types of treatments as potential options but does not mandate that patients go through with them. The mission statement of the website is to provide information about the disease and certain treatments. I defend the site because how many urologists are willing to answer the questions of those feeling lost and confused. One would argue this forum provides a similar outlet. I just believe that labeling it as a commercial site is grouping it with other sites that are selling things right there and then. Sites which have been banned by this forum. If Gelbard starts selling t-shirts then we have a problem. Although I might consider buying one in the spirit of public awareness.

I just posted the link so people would know it's a reliable source...and I thought it was an important issue that was buried by the drug company - because many people are expecting to gain size back.  He is not selling anything like pills, devices, etc...so I am confused why you (or some other mod) is calling it "commercial".  You might want to remove your posting to Dr. Mercola's site selling Ubiquinol (I just noticed it since it was in a thread I also posted in):

Coenzyme Q10/Ubiquinone - Ubiquinol - Peyronies Society Forums

Mercola is a pure "internet doctor".  He doesn't see patients.  He just sells supplements to "Order Now" for $21.97.  Also, Mercola was ordered by the FDA to stop his claims about supplements:
FDA Orders Dr. Joseph Mercola to Stop Illegal Claims

Emasculated - Plication does not guarantee size loss, and I know of 1 person who gained size after grafting.  Of the people I have talked to after plication - most have gained the size back after about 6 mos.  Size is already gone from Peyronies Disease.   One study showed a size gain after 6 months if traction was used.  Plication is far more painful than xiaflex...I'll give you that...but the size loss isn't really an issue if you go to the very experienced doctors.

You are right MikeSmith0.
My mistake, I should not post the link.
Dr. Mercola link deleted.
