Hi Guys,

I recently had surgery for Peyroines (actually the 6th of this month) and am currently recovering.

I just wanted to know if prolonged erections will be detrimental to the healing process?

I had an erection for about 10mins and though I feel sore now, do you think it will have a negative effect on the healing process?

Erections can certainly slow the healing process, but there isn't much you can do about it, particularly the nocturnal ones. Your skin is trying to reattach itself to your shaft after being degloved, and any time the skin moves it works against the healing process. Erections force the skin on your penis to move and stretch. At least during the day you can change your focus onto something totally unsexy.

Hi amonmkk,

Thanks for your post. I am sure you will get some more answers to your questions.

May I know some more detail about your surgery?

Regards,

Chand

Hi Guys,

Thank you both for your responses. Started to get down about the possibility of it not healing properly.

I cannot remember the process that was undertaken I mean the name of it but I have dissolvable stitches where my foreskin would have been if I had one that goes all the way around. The plaque that built up was the product of a sporting injury.

The urologist who performed the operation said cut 6-8 holes in the plaque to correct the curvature. Not sure if this is making sense, I hope I am.

I have been feeling fine and the skin seems to be healing great. Just had a this little moment where there was prolonged erection and just got concerned.

lol apart of me was glad that I had the ability to but was thinking about the long term effects lol.

I don't consider 10 minutes a prolonged erection. If you aren't experiencing any pain I think you are fine.
