What kind of underwear to wear?

This may seem a bit silly, but since I came down with Peyronies Disease, my penis is ultrasensitive to friction. This is especially true when I am somewhat contracted (what I think people must mean when they say 'hard flaccid.')

Before this, I generally never wore underwear. Now, I need to--partly to keep oils and lotions off my pants, but also because pants are too rough.

But I can't sort out what the best kind of underwear is. If I wear tighty-whitey briefs, it will keep things from rubbing too much, but it also seems to exaggerate the hard flaccid (or whatever you want to call it). It also seems to get in the way of circulation, and circulation seems good, right?

Loose boxers rub around more...and can also wad up and inhibit circulation. Furthermore, even silk seems too rough.

Does anyone else have this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

I found the cotton underwear that have "legs" like boxers but they fit tight (not too tight, just keeping thing in place) to be the most comfortable. The quality ones are expensive, but worth for me.
If you want send me a PM, I will send you the brand name I am using.
By the way, silk is soft, but many properties are like synthetic fabric.

UrsusMinor,

I personally prefer Athletic Boxer Briefs. Not as tight as biking shorts but the cut is to the thigh and closer to a compression type fit. Your business stays in place and doesn't really experience rub. After my surgery I asked about what is best my Doctor said the tighter Boxer Briefs. Something to think about.

I find boxers are too loose and the friction is painful, and Y fronts are too tight and I feel need to rearrange the old fruits too often. So I go for close fitting but not tight boxer briefs, they seem to be the best middle ground.

I've been having trouble choosing what underwear to wear.  To me boxers are very comfortable but after a prolonged walk my penis hurts, probably from bumping against my left leg (since it bends left in the flaccid state).  I tried wearing boxer briefs but they seem very tight around my penis and it is constantly rubbing against them which hurts.  I also am worried that if I were to get an erection in boxer briefs it would force me penis to bend backwards and would irritate things.  My half erect penis is incredibly delicate.  I haven't found a good solution yet.

I am wearing very soft underwear that is made from a stretching material and keep the things in place without making pressure on them.
