Hello. I am 29 and my name is Matt.
First of all, thanks to the community here. I have spent hours here learning over the last five months. This is my first post.

My experience so far:
My issues started in early this year. I don't recall a specific injury but I had severe throbbing pain in my penis, but also radiating to abdomen and perineum. I think its most likely that I rolled over on an erection in my sleep.  I noticed a pea sized lump at the base of the penis and freaked out and called the doc. In the week prior to seeing my family doctor I noticed a sudden beginning of curvature to the left, maybe 20 degrees off center and pain when erection is filling. My doc diagnosed prostatitis and a month of antibiotics but referred me to a Urologist for the curvature and lump. I believe I never had prostatitis and it was just referred pain. At two months in, I had the Uro appointment and he diagnosed Peyronies immediately. At this point I had throbbing pain and a more noticeable plaque on the left side. He raised Pentox as an option but said he wasn't confident it had any results. He advocated a wait and see, basically nothing we can do but surgery if it gets bad. Having read the forums and desperate for even a placebo effect I accepted the pentox but added ubiquinol myself.

For the last two months I was dealing with the pentox side effects - some reflux, GI issues and maybe even some slight rapid heartbeat or palpitations? I reduced to 400mg x 2 instead of x3 per day. Thankfully the pain went away after a month or so.

It seemed to be stable until a sudden progression about a week ago, the plaque feels longer now extending from the base up about half way while flaccid. I have a very sharp curve to the left maybe 40 to 50 degrees off center, which eventually curves upward if im very erect. Erection is strong but feels unstable, like a structure that is compromised - difficult to have confidence when using it. No ED (yet) just some pain when its filling. This has been a bit shocking and im re-living the anxiety from the initial diagnosis. Emotionally I am okay, I am in a solid and understanding relationship. I understand there are much worse things people get diagnosed with, but the unknown of where this will end is difficult.

So a couple of questions after reading as much as I can.

1. I found an anxious feeling or rapid heart beat or something funny in my chest when up at 3X400mg Pentox + Ubiqunol. Is this normal? Is it the pentox or the ubiquinol? is 3X400mg Pentox a big difference than 2x400mg?  With the continued progression I am more willing to take on the side effects. I am 2 months in on Pentox, should be able to expect some progress with it soon?

2. Next steps? I am reading up on VED. I think I should add this, it looks more manageable than traction. Any brand names recommended with a focus on safety / absolutely not inflicting more damage.

3. I was caught off guard by the suddenness of both changes, this wasnt a slow progression. I am clearly in the active stages still, have people found that once a change happens its locked in? or can this come and go. (ie could this just be a bad week, or is 40-50 degrees the new normal?).

Thanks

Matt

Anxiousness and rapid heartbeat are a aid effect of pentox, your body may get used to it. Results from the drug may take a long time up to 9 months or something if I am remembering right.

Rapid changes are common, eventually they will hopefully stop and regress a bit. Then your natural erections and VED and traction (manual or with a device) will slowly remodel your penis.

It was important for me to lessen sexual activity in order to start having erections that would really stretchy my scar tissue. You don't know what a good erection feels like till you take some weeks off!

Cialis may be of help too. Without strong erections and traction or VED, your penis has no reason to heal back to an acceptable shape. Keep erection quality top priority. In my case manual stretches, VED, and arousal control got rid of my deformity.

i dpnt know much but that it definalty has to get worse bf it gets better  Neovs very helpful and informative too

I saw a video whit Dr Levine how is one of the top urologist on peyronies
Where he strongly recommend traction.
He said he treated 1000 patients white traction for 3 hours or more a day
None of the men ho followed the routine became worse the best results he saw was one man correction a 70 degree curve and becoming straight again. I know it's a nightmare to have one especially in the beginning. I divid it in to tree sessions a day one hour or more. I stayed the same since I started (8 month ago) 30 degree dorsal I even got a new injury in the beginning of April White no future curve ( the plaque has grown a bit) I am determined to at least not get worse I will where this thing until I get out of the acute face. All I can say is no pain no gain.

Great info Chris.

Again, stretching alone (manually) fixed my curve.
Note that I never needed to achieve any considerable tension on my penis itself, rather just focussed on angle and often did so while slightly engorged.

Dear Matt;
I'm 29 too and definitely know how you feel, being in acute phase is good news. unfortunately Peyronies Disease is unknown urological condition my doctor says there is no approved treatment and approach, so you should try many different treatments and find which one works with your body.
oral treatment could work especially in acute phase, in my opinion do not think about the curve or how much is curved first try to fix the root reason. In my opinion mechanical device like VED or traction device is risky especially in acute phase, jus leave it for a while and get oral treatment.
first target should be pass this phase with the minimum loose (shape, size, ED ...) after that when you are stable you can try to fix the shape with traction, VED or may be a nesbit surgery.

finally try different medicines Potaba (works on me) CO-Q10, L-Arginine .... just find which one works.

I don't agree with you MeMo on the bellow statement:
QuoteVED or traction device is risky especially in acute phase
My opinion is that they are the most efficient in the acute stage (if something like that exist at all) not to lose length and girth, in conjunction with Pentox, low dose Cialis and CoQ10.
Just be careful not to over-pump or over-stretch.

there is nothing clear and exact about this nightmare, may be you are right I only shared my opinion, I don't know why i have bad feeling about mechanical devices, I think traction and vacuum can not do anything to reduce the plaque size logically, but about shape I agree with you they can help a lot.

I don't want be negative but i think before stable condition shape is not very important. at least my first priority is preventing worsening and ED.

MeMo:

I categorically disagree with you about your statements regarding VED therapy for Peyronies Disease symptoms. I have been using a VED for over 20 years now, almost as long as you are old. Not discounting your integrity, but VED therapy does have a place in Peyronies Disease therapy. It is not an overnight ''cure'', but with patience and caution in performing the protocol, it can and will give at least some positive results.

VED therapy in the acute stage must be approached with extreme caution so that further trauma will not done. Any form of causing more blood flow into and out of the corpora during the acute stage can and will show good results in most cases. VED therapy is not a therapy for 100% of all cases of Peyronies Disease and this must be kept in mind when deciding to use the VED. Some cases just won't respond to it and does cause further trauma if not used with caution. Some cases Peyronies Disease just won't tolerate it all.

I would recommend that you do some more research about VED therapy for Peyronies Disease and ED before condemning it to the trash pile of treatments/therapies.

Quotepreventing worsening and ED.
I everyone target. This is the reason one should start treatment as soon as he can.
And in my opinion, VED is an important component in this approach.
Leading Peyronies experts are advising for VED and/or traction
