Hello my Name is Pat I'm 25 years old. I started developing pyronies about 2 months ago and the scary thing is I do not remember any sexual injury that caused it although I did injure myself 2 years ago. At first I thought the pain was the beggining of herpes or some other std but not only did I get tested but I also had the girl I hooked up with tested and both results were negative. I then started noticing a slight curve to the left and began browsing this forum religously. Within 3 weeks I traveled to see Dr. Carrion in Tampa who put me on Pendox and lsoe dose Cialis i also started supplementing Coq10 within 2 weeks of noticing symptoms. I have a very large area of indentation on the bottom left near the base of my member. It is roughly square shaped and only on one side. It has gotten progressively worse although my member is probably only curved 10 degrees to the left and the other side has thankfully nto started to indent yet.

I keep hoping and praying that the pills are going to work but my mind fills with thoughts of suicide and everything I see a pretty girl I get depressed that I will never have a love life soon. I can get erections but have difficulty holding them without the Cialis at my age too :( I feel as though life is over and have started thinking of dedicating my life and future salary to charity and helpign others since enjoying life without romance and a family seems impossible to me and I figure if suicide is the other option 'I may as well use my life to help others even If my enjoyment of it will be over soon.

I feel no hope I Wish i know what caused this so I could fix it it's been over a month on Cialis, Pentox, and Coq10 but I somehow doubt it will work for me. I saw a post statign that penile implants are the only way and that pendox and all these other therapies are only slowing the inevitable and I felt all the hope leave me.

I jsut wanted to say to all of you on this forum that I don't even know you but I love you all for you have provided the only shreds of hope In my life. Your all wonderful people for helping each other through this I lurk this site every day hoping for good news on treatments and am scheduled to get the prp treatment although I doubt it will be effective.

I don't read alot of success at reversing dents and I have no feelable plaque only the beginnings of hourglassing :( I guess there is little hope for me. I feel my young life is over :(

bonsomi

Hello Young. I'm 25 too and my symptoms started even more aggressively than yours. Lost like 5 cm in length, lots of pain and was almost impossible to get and erection even with viagra or cialis (scary uh?). After 3 months of pentox, q10 l-arginine and VED y recover 3 cm already and get pretty good erections.

I know that all seems dark right now, but there is a number of treatments that you can get, still is too soon to know. Usually you need at least 1 year to judge if a path you follow is effective.

Get proactive, get treatment, talk to someone and i think you can improve your situation dramatically. We are still young, our body heals faster and we have the time to experience  many new treatments to come in the future.

I send you a big hug.

Bonsomi.

Pat:

I just sent you a PM in answer to yours to me. As bonsomi says, you are in a very desperate situation at the moment due to the suddenness of your getting Peyronies Disease symptoms. You are in the very early stages known as the ''acute stage'' of Peyronies Disease. Getting uptight and having anxiety attacks about your sudden malady can and will cause further anxiety and this will only lead to becoming desperate. You do not need that as it will only add fuel to the fire of getting Peyronies Disease.

If you have not seen a Peyronies Disease qualified urologist about getting a proper diagnosis, that should be your first order of business toward getting help. There are many therapies and/or treatments that can and will help with any Peyronies Disease symptoms you have, so keep that in mind. You need to be proactive, calm down, overcome your anxiety and search out the best approach you can find for your particular case.

I am sure that you will get other posts in answer to yours, so take time to visit the forum as often as your time permits.

Let the forum members know what your desires are and what help they can offer you. Read my PM and give me answers to my questions.

Best to you,

Old Man

QuoteI don't read alot of success at reversing dents and I have no feelable plaque only the beginnings of hourglassing
I am not expecting you to read all the 1000'ts of posts on the forum, but myself, even treating this disease very late had softened my calcified plaques and 3 hourglasses gone.
Used VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and Ubiquinol.
Now with PRP had additional improvements.
And I am stating again, I started treatment very late, 3 years after started Peyronies symptoms.
QuoteI guess there is little hope for me. I feel my young life is over
Completely wrong!!!
You are young and started treatment early!!!
You are already on Cialis, Pentox, and Coq10, add to this treatment the VED and I am sure you will stop the progression and even reverse the symptoms of this disease. Carefully with the VED not to over-pump.

I know it can be jarring at first but trust me, you have a much better start then most of us with the proactive treatment your uro is setting up. I too developed at 25 years old but did not start treatment until I was already pretty much stabilized (a year and a half since symptoms). I had a dent and some curvature that has gotten a lot better in the last year so do not give up hope! Trust me, it will see to be getting worse at first but it can improve and can stabilize. Don't give up yet, the first year can be the most difficult mentally but you can not get down. Always realize there is chance for improvement.

Pat, you are not alone.

I'm in the acute phase as well, and I'm 31. I have yet to present myself and tell my story, but I've gone through very hard times regarding sex life (not Peyronie ironically). And one thing I tell you: sex is not only coitus or penetration. You have all your body to caress, kiss and give/receive pleasure.
Your ideas of giving yourself to charity are commendable and speak very good of you. Helping others is a great way to feel fulfilled and happy. But don't give up on romance. Love is more complex and rich than you may think.

We must listen to veterans and have confidence in all the knowledge this forum cherishes.

Wipe away those suicidal thoughts, I've been there and, trust me, life still has good things to offer. Flashes of happiness in which you won't have these problems in your mind.

Besides, given the worst scenario, who knows if science comes up with a revolutionary treatmen in a few years?

Cheer up! And if you continue feeling depressed and hopeless, consider going to a psychologist. They are really helpful.

You are definitely not alone Pat. I'm 29, recently diagnosed and still in the acute phase. Also got severe ED as a result of the injury which gave me Peyronies Disease. So I know exactly where you are right now (some days, I'm still there myself). And I also know that even if you can let in some of the words of encouragement offered here on an intellectual level, there are still times when your grief and sense of loss win out. If you ever get there and need someone to talk to, PM me for my Skype info, happy to talk whenever. Good luck man. Hope this finds you feeling better.

YoungandDead:

All I can tell you is I got this crap at 20 years old (1 month after I turned 20), and became basically impotent at 22. I know the despair that you are going through right now, but things can and will get better. The past decade has been a hellish rollercoaster in different ways, but I can honestly tell you that right now at the age of 31, I'm happier than I've been in years.

I still have significant sexual problems and am doing everything in my power to get that back, but sexuality and romance is far more of a spiritual thing than it is physical. I know that in our early to mid 20s, we equate sex with how hard and long we can go with a girl. I can honestly say that this is very far from the truth of what sexuality and romance is.

I'm now dating one of the most beautiful girls that I've ever met and I couldn't be happier. I was upfront with her about my "penis issues" and she has told me repeatedly that she doesn't care, she just wants me. 90% of women need to feel loved, wanted, and desired much more than just simply "getting laid".

Finally, PRP and stem cells have helped a lot of guys on here. And if this isn't enough to may you feel optimistic, tissue engineering for the penis is just around the corner. You will have things significantly better than many of the men on here that have had this going on for 5, 10, 20+ years now.

Wow what a warm welcome you all have given me and your words of encouragement did truly make me tear up. I read all of your responses and I felt some hope again and the strength to fight this disease. It helps tremendously to know that I am not one of the only young people with this struggle, and to hear from the older men with experience gives me confidence that no matter which way this goes I can find some purpose in life and success fighting the disease to some level at least.

suicide is always in my head but it is truly not an option the way I see it is that anything is better than suicide. Giving my life to charity, penile implants, experimental treatments..w/e. I am nearing the completion of my BA degree and wished to get a masters after. It has been hard to stay motivated to better myself in school and at the gym I used to be very motivated but it has been much more difficult to do so since getting peyronies at times I feel defeated in life.

I'm especially encouraged that some of you have seen success in treating indents and that me getting on treatments early may help me. If it was not for all of you and this community I would have never gotten on treatments so quick. Because of you I was armed with the information I needed and knew a peyronies specialist to see in Tampa. My first urologist appointment brought me to tears because I knew I had peyronie's and my local urologist didn't even want to look at my member he told me "Peyronie's is an old peoples disease trust me you don't have it" He was dismissive even with the material I printed from this site in hand. I knew how important early treatment was thanks to you guys so I made the decision to drive to Tampa and saw Rafael Carrion who I saw mentioned on this board. He did an ultrasound and diagnosed me with peyronies said i had venous leakage and got me on Cialis and Pentox and I was already on the coq10.

The indentation is quite large and I am surprised it has not caused a greater curvature it takes over the entire bottom left portion of my penis although it is very large it doesn't indent quite as far in as other cases iv'e seen. I'm hoping it does not continue to expand but so far it has I guess I jsut need to be patient get a VED and continue with the coq10, Pentox, and low dose cialis.

Thank you all so much, I hope that I will be able to contribute to this forum and help some of you in the future the way you've helped me. I will take precise measurements before and after prp when I get it to hopefully show you proof of success and if not at least have something to contribute. I wouldn't know where to tel la doctor to inject xiaflex (not sure if it works on indents) or PRP because there is no feel able plaque at least not yet just indents.

That's great news man! This forum has been a lifeline for me, glad to see it was the same for you. That's absolutely fantastic that you got to a specialist early. I know that for a lot of young guys the response they get from urologists early on is "it's nothing get out of my office" and all the while things keep getting worse. You got educated and were aggressive about getting early treatment and now you've got a really specific diagnosis! What's really key is not just that he diagnosed you with Peyronie's but the venous leakage as well. There are treatments to combat venous leakage, and depending on how bad yours is it may even be able to be managed non-surgically. But there are some valid surgical options, though I encourage you to research them.

Now that you're on Pentox and the Cialis and VED, I would be very surprised if you don't see your symptoms get better, particularly that large plaque. It won't happen overnight, but these boards are littered with people who have seen success with the exact cocktail you're on (it's what I'm on at the moment as well). Once the Pentox starts to kick in you're going to be in great shape, the clinical evidence for its effectiveness is very strong, and the difference it made for most patients wasn't just statistically significant, it was substantively meaningful. This disease definitely sucks, but you did everything right and then some! You should be proud of yourself, you've really given yourself the best shot at minimizing curvature and keeping as much of your function as possible. Also, while I have severe ED now, I can definitely tell that if my ED wasn't as bad, the cocktail I'm on now (the same as yours) would be giving me really high quality erections. Head over to the VED boards and read Old Man's guide---don't overdo it! But the basic thing to remember is that the treatments that work well for Peyronies Disease are really about keeping your penis healthy, so much so that I'm certain people without Peyronies Disease or ED would probably benefit from it. Because you're young and you caught it early, you have so much to be hopeful about. Good luck, and come back and tell us how you're doing!
