Getting over it

After seeing one urologist twice, both times him saying nothing could be done, I finally figured out when he scheduled a third appointment he was collecting a paycheck for worthless advice. However, I believed that advice for a year before doing research, finding a new doctor and this forum. What a difference! That is why I registered here and hope my experience benefits a fellow Peyronie's brother somewhere in the world.
After considering surgery, I have 30% curvature with some hour glass and loss of length, I was average before and think I lost about an inch plus, I chickened out of surgery. Instead, I had an ultrasound and discovered no calcium, just scarring. The new doctor suggested the ultrasound, I have to drive over 3 hours each way to see him but it has been worth it!
Had I written before today I would have been very despondent, lost in a maze of what to do. I'm taking oral meds for blood flow which I think help the Viagra but the reason I wanted to post is I bought a VED, waiting for the traction device to arrive, but the VED has made me extremely hopeful. After two uses my girth is back. I've looked at my penis a couple of times today after using it last night and the benefit of the VED is still visible, my little guy hasn't looked like this in about a year and a half. I am so happy I can't wait to show my wife, she travels. It's too soon how frequently I'll need to do the "procedure" but I don't care, it's giving my girth back and eliminating the hour glass I had. I can't believe it, I was so sure nothing would work and it is. I have never bought a sex toy and that's how these are marketed. To avoid this sounding like a commercial I will not name the one I bought except to say it has a pressure gauge which I like. The one at the doctor's office that he showed me didn't and it hurt when he tried it on me. The one I bought is better, it was around forty US dollars. In closing, I am so pleased to be able to tell you to be hopeful, try a VED, It won't take long for you to know if it helps and the cost is minor compared to the worry of having this condition. I will post again after I have tried a traction and report if this worked as well as the VED. I am getting over it and if I am so can you!

Getting over it,

Your experience is to be celebrated and I'm genuinely happy that you have found something that's changed your outlook and given you great hope for the future, but understand that for most men, a couple times using the VED does not produce noticeable progress like you've enjoyed.  For most, it's a long, slow process over many months if not years.  Not to dampen your enthusiasm at all, but just wanted to mention this as you say "it won't take long for you to know if it helps ..." when in fact, for most of us, it will indeed take a while to gain benefit from VED usage.

Best,

51 yrs. old, multiple auto-immune conditions. First episode of Peyronies Disease in 2002. Recurred a couple times since. Over the years I have tried Topical Verapamil, Iontophoresis, all the supps and Cialis + Pentoxifylline. Still functional, always worried.

NeoV

I'm so happy to hear about this.

VED did the same for me and is still helping. Just one usage made a difference and gave me instant relief. Not everyone seems to react this way. I am still early in the disease and my plaques are very soft and stretchable.

Either way, keep it up but don't over do it!! Don't over pump it and don't over hold.

Getting over it and NeoV

I suppose your very good results are because you have started as NeoV said:
