Hey,

So, I've recently been diagnosed with ED induced by Peyronie's Disease. Ever since I discovered masturbation have I had weak erections caused by this hourglass narrowing at the base. Can't tell if the narrowing has always been there, but definitely before my adolescent years. I don't remember ever injuring myself, so I'm really confused - In disbelief to say the least.

Oh well, I've been given the first line treatment option, where I've tried Viagra, Cialis, pumps and what not, without any real success. I'm more or less at the implant stage, but the only implant they are willing to give me are the malleable ones. I haven't talked to the doctor about the pros and cons, but I did contact a guy who had the same issue like me, and what he was told about the implant was that, with time you'd end up with no sensitivity whatsoever. This is confusing, if there'd be no sensitivity, then why even bother do the implantation? Then again, I don't see why this guy would be lying to me, so I don't know what to believe.

Can any of you guys fill me in on what it is to have a malleable implant? Will sensitivity eventually be lost? or what the hell is it all about?

I really don't understand why they insist to give you the malleable. It may be for two reasons:
* The uro never made a three pcs inflatable implant
* The health care system don't want to spend too much money
Because you are very young, you should get the inflatable, preferable the LGX 700 (LGX = Length, Girth Expanding)

They do 3 pc implants as well, but it is only reserved for older patients whom are less likely to require replacement. That's why young people are only given the malleable ones as an option.

Thanks for the links!

Very wrong. The malleable may make damage to the penile tissues during time.

Fowleri,

I have a malleable implant for more than a year.
What i can say is that everything is the same... I still have the same desire, excitation, tumescence, orgasm, pleasure is the same.... no differences in libido.
It's easy to adapt, just in the begin looks strange.
