Hello to all, I am new to this forum and see you guys share info so I might get more info from you than some urologists out there as you all share the experience having Peyronies Disease.

One month ago I had minor sexual injury and all week after that had ED. I decided to consult with urologist who told me not to worry it will be all fine, my body will heal it. I did nothing, not have sex or masturbate as I saw that it can improve the healing. 2 weeks after, I noticed curve going upward and saw another urologist (this Monday) who said I have Peyronies Disease (he behave like I waste his time). He told me to take Vitamin E and Cod Fish Oil daily and take Cialis only before I have sex (not daily as the other medicine). He prescribed 5mg and gave me 3x20mg who are like free samples, without telling me what to take first.

Now, reading all your info here, seems to me that this second urologist gave me therapy that might not be appropriate to fight the Peyronies Disease. yes its vitamins and thats good for the body but I guess not to treat this issue I have. Can you please give me info if this could actually prevent the plaque from expanding?

I made appointment with Dr. Liroff but I have to wait one month to see him as he is busy. Do you think this 1 month waiting is long and could affect me big time?

Please share your info and advise me what to do, if there is something I can before seeing the doctor who I see is knowledgable in this Peyronies Disease. I am 28 years old btw and want to fight this Peyronies Disease, at least now make the plaque stop from doing further damage.

Thank you in advance!

Have you called the doc and asked if they have cancellation list? I was fortunate because I asked the urologist about a cancellation list and got in the next day. I would call and find out if there is a cancellation list, it might get you in sooner.

Research pentox, if the urologist is good I'm sure they'll tell you. Also look up vareapamil and other injections as you'll want to have researched that info.

Don't lose hope.the people on here are helpful. We want to help because we know what you are going through. You are doing a great thing by going to the doc so early. Hopefully they get it under control and you have no trouble.

I found my specialist on this site:

Peronie's Physician Finder | Find Peronies Doctor & Treatment

I found Dr. Liroff there last week, the site you provided is helpful. I researched all possible when I noticed the curve...

I told them if Dr. Liroff has open time in his schedule before my actual appointment for them to inform me, so I guess they will do that. Anyway on one web page I found e-mail from him and I am planning to write there on Monday.
I am really stressed if this 1 month wait will cause more damage to me or not, as I hope to get proper diagnosis and fight this plaque right away. The curve I have is upward, but after ejaculation it goes to normal look with a little bending to the right. Strange I guess...
The doctor I saw was strange somehow, he looked like he has other job to do... Should have explained more about medicine and how to take it. He said daily Vitamin E and did not know what that meant as I was supposed to find out from the bottle... He is doctor in Michigan Institute of Urology in Troy.
I researched the internet for Pentox and injections, but will wait to see Dr. Liroff and what he will prescribe to me. I was told by that doctor I saw last week that injections come after 6-12 months unsuccessful treatment, so I hope I do not need them. Time will tell but I wish all of the guys dealing with this to solve all by oral medications!

Thanks so much for the support. Even one post for saying that and giving suggestion means a lot!

Hello. Sorry to hear about your recent development of this affliction. I am relative new here too, but have a bit of advice.

Waiting one month to see a knowledgable doctor is better than only waiting a few days to see a doctor like your first one. It doesn't hurt to  see if you can get in sooner like you already have. But you might also call them periodically to see if there have been any cancellations and new time slots that have opened up. I have done that in the past and it usually gets me seen sooner.

While you are waiting for your appointment you might want to follow some of the steps in the 'Peyronies Survival Guide' here on this forum. For example, if you smoke or drink - quit. In my case I stopped drinking and went on a medically supervised diet for rapid weight loss. Those were things I could change on my own and did. I honestly don't know if my mild case of Peyronie's will get better or worse over time, but I do know that in a few months I will be in excellent physical shape!

The last advice I have is to make a plan of action to try to fight the disease and do it. Once you have a plan in place you can focus on actual things that you are doing. At that point, there is no need to worry as it will not accomplish anything except drag you down and create more stress.

I hope your visit with Dr. Liroff goes well.

Thanks for the support brettcase!

Well I could try to call tomorrow and ask if there is cancelation and early date, hopefully there will be something. Anyway, you or someone else who sees this post might know better, is it late to start more proper treatment in 1 month just after the appointment? Meanwhile I will still hang on to Vitamin E, Cod fish oil and Cialis (not daily dosage as I explained) as previous urologist told me.
Do you know how much daily Cialis doses cost? I got only6x5mg pills and they wrote 5 more refills until 3/15/2015! Thats strange right? I was told by CVS pharmacist I could get some more but it would be like 100$ for 5-6 more...

Yes. The 5 mg cialis is a daily use dose and should be 30 per month. I think they are confused with the stronger 20 mg cialis which is typically rationed out at 6 pills a month. I would definitely have them double check the quantity of 5 mg pills allowed.

I too am going to request daily 5 mg cialis during my next appointment about a week from now.

As for your other question about whether waiting a month for your appointment is too long, I don't know. Hopefully someone else here can advise us.
