I am somewhat new to forums so please forgive me if I post something in the wrong place.
I got a wait and see for six months from urologist, I don't think everyone thinks this is the best course of action. I am about 2 months into this now. Thanks to everybody, I know this site will help me MIND and body. It still seems so very awkward to not only talk about this but also ask for help.

Chewy,
You are among friends, or at least fellow sufferers. We ask all new members to read this so you at least have some common background.

Chewy,
You are correct that the wait and see attitude is the wrong way to go. All of us here has heard that same pronouncement. Fortunately, at some point we found this forum. Since you have read the intro documents, you know that choosing a course of action and getting to it is paramount. We can help you best if you will tell us more about yourself. This is the place to talk about it. How old are you? How did this present? What are your symptoms? There are so many questions. But we can't offer any advice until we have a place to start.
Ps- your post was in the right place.

It matters not whether you know how it happened. The treatment is the same. The treatment James suggested is the standard for getting started. I suggest you get after it immediately.

Should I find a new urologist, or go back to my old one and ask him to do more?  I know that there is a spealist in Columbus about an hour from me, but I do not know if takes my insurance.
All of this sure does make it hard to quit smoking!

james1947

To quit smoking, drinking, I agree with you Chewy is very difficult, but you have to try

finding new Uro is definitely true; stay away from wait and see doctors. my first uro said me take vitamin E and come back after 6 months to do Nesbit!!!! he suggest me nesbit surgery while he did not know anything about my symptoms and plaque dimension.
find an uro that have experience with Peyronies Disease. avoid calcification is the most important priority that only can be done by oral treatment. oral treatment may did not heal you but help you stay away from worsening.

in some article i read low testosterone level could be the trigger of Peyronies Disease. so any idea about is increasing testosterone (may be by fitness and workout) helps??

O.k. So I made an appointment with a specialist for Thursday. I would like to see a doctor in the near future. After 2 months ( my other urologist set me back a month) it is not to late to catch this fairly early, is it?

james1947

You are right Chewy, not too late, but start treatment as soon as you can.
