after VED

Hi all,
I'm using VED very carefully ie: not applying to much vacuum following the protocol. After use, I get a more pronounced mild ache to a very specific region, left side below the glans. I feel at least in my mind (which is great) VED is positive. Obviously I don't want to make things worse.
Bit unsure so thanks in advance for comments.

Starting off slowly and cautiously is the best way to proceed. You are doing right. It is better to prolong any results than to have a setback from moving too quickly.

Thanks Norm,
Bit of reassurance goes a long way, thanks again.

Be extremely careful. The VED set me back a couple of months with a drastic increase in inflammation and serious discomfort. If it hurts my advice would be to stop, let everything settle down and then start over even more cautiously. I'm not being negative on the VED as it seems most have had good results with careful usage. But I can tell you it didn't work for me and I had PM's sent to me from at least 2 other members on this forum that experienced further problems directly related to VED usage as well.

Go slow!

Good luck!

Hi Knight,

Will you try again in some day?

I am also failed to use it but convinced that it would be a benefit if I could use.

Knight

I might, but it's going to be awhile. My experience was so unpleasant I have little desire to give it another try at this point. That could change, but that's how I feel today.

Like I said previously, I don't want to be negative on VED usage as it seems to help more guys than it hurts but it didn't work out well for me and probably made things worse.

Good luck!

emasculated

After trying for four days it has made everything severely worse for me.. But if others like it I'm very happy for them.

emasculated

Well. I have a battery driven ved (don't know the exact term), even though I requested a manual model from my doc..
I did not overpump in any way. I didn't even get close to half erect. I tried on 3 consecutive days then 2 day break and last monday evening I think I did the damage. I got a seal pumped 2 or 3 times (again not even close to half erect) but somehow it filled up unevenly. So I stopped. Ever since the inflammation is at all time high and additionally upon erection I can see a  swelling on the left side right were the unevenness was. It feels uncomfortable there and a little painful to get erect. I hope it's not serious damage.

I am using a simple manual pump VED, no medical grade available here.
Had never problem with it, not over-pumping, get full erect and gained back 1.5 cm from the 6.5 I lost to Peyronies.

I can totally relate to emasculated's experience. There is something about the VED that sets my inflammation on FIRE too. It's not as simple as just "over pumping". I wish that weren't the case but it is the God honest truth.

@Old Man: The sizing insert was the optimal one. BUT I did indeed not lube up the last time. Mostly because the documentation of my VED does not mention lubrication, except if one uses this constrictrion ring. Maybe that was the reason for the uneven filling up. This night was again painful. I'm already scared I have a latent rupture or something...

Hi

If I pump my penis getting erected unevenly, ie the side I have lump not erected same compared to the other side, I think this is normal. Is there anything I can do to keep more balance?

Best regards,

I had an acute injury about 2 months ago and have started using the VED. I'm also finding that it seems to make my pain worse. I don't have a bend while erect yet and I'm on Pentox and low-dose Cialis, so I'm not sure if it's necessary at this point. Was wondering what other people thought. I know earlier is better, but it does appear to make the area of the injury more sensitive. Am I best to wait until I can do a single cycle without a change in pain afterward, or is more pain/sensitivity after the VED normal?

NeoV

Mild ache under the glans is lymph pressure, relax and take a break.

How many people misunderstand this I'm unsure, but either case pain is an indicator to stop or lessen pressure. Use only below the point of pain. If you have mild lymphocele from VED (extremely common) just take a break from it and all sexual activity.

About Knight's experience I just don't know .. :( hopefully other treatments will help such as traction.

In my opinion it is not normal to have pain while using or after using VED.
As NeoV has said, if you have pain, stop pumping. Release the pressure to the point that have no pain.
Knight, maybe you should try to pump to a very low pressure and see if the pain is there also in this case?

Thanks James and NeoV. Sounds like I just need to give my body more time to heal before starting the VED. I wish I had a sense of what, exactly, this injury is, so that I'd know how to take care of it. Right now the area is still sensitive to the touch. Is any pain a signal to stop using the VED, or only certain sensations (i.e. piercing/shooting)? The intro threads on this board and others I've read, especially by Old Man, seem to suggest that any pain at all is bad. But if part of Peyronie's for some people is chronic pain (this is what I'm having at the moment), how is VED possible?

james1947

What Old Man is saying:
Quoteany pain at all is bad
Is 100% right.
If you have chronic pain and you want to try VED, (most will tell you not to) maybe you should pump lightly until the pain is getting worst, then release to the point that you feel the usual pain, but no more.

Head Up

I have been using the Augusta single cylinder VED device but not regularly as of late. I'm going to build a 3-cylinder one using some directions I found on this site. When I would use the pump, I would always pump to point of slight pain or discomfort and then stop. I would usually feel the discomfort in two spots. One was down at the base in the middle of the dorsal side. I can't explain what this was from but it wasn't too bothersome. The other more important area of discomfort was right above my 3 plaques ( in a cluster, was formerly one but I broke it up into 3 on my own via manual modeling; curvature isn't as severe now) on the left at the point of hour glassing. I always took as a good sign because it felt like the hour-glassing was just aching to push out and look normal again. When I would stop, the hour-glassing didn't look as bad either. After building the other two cylinders later this week, I plan on starting a long-term regimen with the VED.

Head Up

I think I slightly injured myself from VED use last week. My post below has bad info. Should have never pumped to the point of slight pain, plus I held my erection in the device much longer than I should have.

Head UP:

You should have read more about VED usage on the main forum VED board before embarking on the therapy. There are warning posted all over that board and many posts in other boards on the main forum.

These postings list many warnings about using too much vacuum pressure. I am repeating the warning again:

DO NOT OVER PUMP VACUUM PRESSURE IN USING THE VED FOR Peyronies Disease THERAPY! MUCH TRAUMA CAN AND WILL BE EXPERIENCED IF THIS IS DONE!!

Once anyone had overpumped the vacuum and suffered further trauma, you must do not keep doing the vacuum therapy until your penis has completely healed. There are members on this forum that did just that and some are still ''paying the piper'' from that abuse of their penises.

NOTE TO NeoV: Please answer this post with your experiences of the VED therapy you did and the results.

@ old man.

Yeah I f**ked up. No more VED or jerking off until this condition improves. Although there is this new girl I recently started sleeping with and it will be hard to say no if she wants to have sex. Good thing she is on her period right now! Going to the uro in a week to see what they say. Didn't have any pain after VED usage or even after sex which occurred a few days after the over pumping. But, I was jerking off pretty hard a few days later and have had slight discomfort ever since. Soaking in the bathtub or hot tub helps. And as messed up as it sounds, wearing a pair of tight whities and dropping a hand warmer down there takes the discomfort away as well.
