will traction aid with congenital curvature ( or so the urologist said it was even though I was completely straight several years ago) if so what device should I use and how. also which is most discreet considering I share a room with my younger brother?

NGJ,
If you have a congenital curve, then you were born with this and would have always had this. So it does not make sense to me that your doctor said it is congenital, and in the same post you said you used to be straight. It can't be both.

If it is congenital, then I doubt anything would help short of surgery. But if it is Peyronies, then among other things we do recommend the use of VED or traction therapy.

As Les clearly explained, congenital means present at birth.

I do have a differing opinion then Les on whether traction would help a true congenital curve (which I am unsure you even have).

I think traction will stretch even a normal, healthy penis to some extent.  Since traction by nature always has to exert tension on the short side of the penis first I think it will at least partially correct a congenital curve if worn 4 or more hours a day, for months.  I don't think it will totally correct a significant curve however.  I must say that this is based solely on my opinion and logic as I have come to understand traction.

I also want to be clear that 4 + hours of traction a day is a significant commitment.

Hawk i'm really interested in your opinion. How do you conclude whether or not this may work? My doctor said since curve starts from root, trying to course correct the curve, may create additional bends, desensitize nerves, or create plaques that were not previously there. Your opinion on those comments?

hello everybody, I got the same question regarding penile extenders. My doctor recommended that I used one after nesbit surgery for congenital surgery to regain some length. He told me to wear it for 3 hours a day for some months. Did anybody here use such device and really regained some length in erect state ? Most of posts I read pertain to peyronies and not to congenital ones. I would like to regain about 2 cm and that's why I want to ask experienced people how long I should wear it to gain such length. I know it depends on our anatomical capacity, but there's also some average time to gain such length that fits most people.

wkurtka,

Do you mind sharing who your doctor is and how much experience he has with traction for achieving length (if you know)?
