I'm assuming you guys have seen this and will either say duh or tell me it's BS... but I keep coming across this.  What's the deal? link deleted by admin

Michael,

That is simply a standard traction device sold by AndroMedical.  Many companies sell them with little difference between most well known brands.

Our board entitled "Traction Devices" deals with all aspects of these devices.

Can post links, but not to commercial sites.
We are very keen on this point to avoid people using our site for commercial adds.

90% of our personal time is spent trying to prevent spammers from shutting our site down and in preventing shills from posing as patients to push a specific product.  If shills see we allow members to casually post commercial links they flock here to get in on the action.  We try to keep a delicate balance between providing information and preserving the forum.  If we see a unique link that checks out as helpful to members then we evaluate it and sometime allow the link to remain.  We also allow more discretion to members that have been "Solid Contributors" (100 posts) or have otherwise established themselves by long term membership or service.

There just is no other way a forum can be successfully run in the current internet environment.

I used to post way more than I do currently. Trying to help out now as forum admin does take time. I clearly see how this was very time consuming for Hawk.
