Hi. I am new to this forum. I developed Peyronies following penile trauma about one year ago. I was already was suffering from ED and was using injection therapy for about 18 months. Now that I have both Peyronies and ED I have been told my only hope is an implant. My problem is (in addition to the above)  that I am single, age 58, and do not have a sexual partner. So, I think to myself, I get the implant and then what? How do I even "break in" the implant. Never mind telling a girl who I am dating I have one? Of course I'm not really dating now anyway because of my situation. I feel like I am a sort of catch 22. If I was married my course of action would be much different. I would get a implant and that would be the end of it. Any advice or comments from single men  would be appreciated.

You are just 58 and many years of dating in front of you.
I think ones the implant is there you will feel like Supermen with a lot of self confidence so it will be easy to date :)
From what I understand reading posts of people that have implant that they all are pleased more that ever before.

I sent you an email earlier.  I gave you some information and still have a lot more. Just let me say of all the single men I know that have implants none of the women have turned them down. They do say it is the best sex they ever had.  Once you have it you will say to yourself, why did I not do this years ago.

Forhope, I just sent you a PM explaining where to locate a professional female provider so that you can use your penile implant to your hearts' desire.

I was 67 when I had my AMS LGX implant (thank God for Medicare!) & single/divorced. In fact, I was 64 when I developed Peyronies Disease. I can tell you that the #1 issue is not whether women will care about you having the implant, they will care that they LIKE you & find you entertaining. I dated several ladies during the course of my Peyronies Disease experience & never had a one of them say that my inability to perform intercourse bothered them or disqualified me from being a dating partner. Yes, it was hard explaining what my affliction was but most women are very understanding. My secret weapon against Peyronies Disease was always the thought "what difference does it really make". As long as I held that in my mind, I was confident.
However, I never stopped reading this forum, seeking advice or hoping for a "cure". After almost 2 years, I finally decided to go ahead with the surgery. Like you, I questioned what the payoff would be for the pain & recovery. But I held on to the belief that there would still be a woman in my life, even at 67, that I could build a complete & loving relationship with. Nearly a year after my surgery &, when I least expected to, she came into my life. We have now been together for 3 years & it has been wonderful. We enjoy sex in every way & without inhibition. My implant has been fully functional & I suppose, now that I am 71, I must accept the fact that all men begin to lose their interest in sex with or without the benefit of the "extra mechanics". I assure you that - provided you have positive self worth - you will never have to be embarrassed or feel less of a man. My 1st time using the implant for live sex was like being a virgin again. My partner & I had a wonderful time laughing & celebrating with champagne!

Thanks much for the replies. It certainly has helped. I am more positive about my decision to have an implant. Now I need to think about a doctor and which implant, as I find this is a very passionate subject among some. I was going to use Dr Eid in NY but heard he only uses the Coloplast which I hear may not be the best choice for me.

My proposal to you, be in touch with Jack.
Sorry Jack for volunteering you, but I think you will be the best adviser regarding implant and the doctor to do that :)
