Hello,
I have had Peyronies Disease for about 6 years, it was contributory to my divorce. Obviously that was a painful rejection and I honestly realize a better more loving woman would have had compassion and been willing to love and work through things together.
I wanted to know how women handle this in dating.   I have had one girlfriend since my divorce and she was loving accepting and kind but I consider her to be an exceptional woman.
How have others discussed this with women they date and what have been some of the responses.   I have a given amount of apprehension in this area although I am confident women see me as a fantastic man as my character and ability to love are desired traits.
I believe I have a moderate case of Peyronies Disease as I am able to have sex but unable to get erections just thinking about women and sex as I was before.  Its odd but I now find I get a weak erection when I feel close to a woman talking on the phone.  when in their presence the erections come and go but are never as strong as b4 Peyronies Disease.
Thanks for any input.

huntered,

I think you'll find most girls of good moral character to be totally accepting of any challenges you have, if you've already proven to them that you, yourself, are a guy worthy of caring about.  By this, I mean you may have a bad experience with some one-night-stand bar hookup, but a if you're actually dating a girl, I think you'll find her to be understanding.

As to the ED issues you're having, they're absolutely understandable if you have Peyronies Disease - the two kind of go hand-in-hand in a lot of cases.  So experiment with the PDE inhibitors like Viagra, Levitra, Cialis, and if they work for you, brother, DO NOT be ashamed that you need them - you've got a legitimate medical condition no different than blood pressure or a heart problem, or anything else you'd take a pill for with no shame.

My recommendation is that if your Peyronies Disease isn't a severe bend, don't even mention it until you've been with the girl a time or two.  Most of the time they won't even know anything is wrong.  Then, later, if you want to explain it to her, go ahead.  And whether you want to explain you take a pill because of it, also your call.  But if you act sincere and comfortable with it, I almost guarantee any girl worth being with will be nurturing and supportive.

Best,
