I'm Chris, 48, Indianapolis. I guess I've had this for about 5 years now. It started out as a small lump and within maybe 2 years has grown to the size of half of a bratworst. In the words of one dr it is "woody", the tumor as I call it has striations and such. At the base it has edges and continues all the way to the tip where it tapers. I have no curving, i am able to get erections, but I've lost length. I saw a urologist in Indianapolis, the man couldn't believe it. He had me later go to another office where 5 more dr's examined me. They all had the shocked look. After the original dr told me not much could be done, he did refer me to another dr who he thought had "more experience. Oh...I did have an MRI and tests which confirmed it wasn't cancer. I don't know what to do, I have ceased having relationships and have pretty much given up on life. I've attempted suicide twice.

Chris, there is hope for you, as you will discover by reading these boards. The first thing you must do is see a peyronies specialist, if indeed it is scar tissue.

Those shocked doctors may be inexperienced, since peyronies is very misunderstood. I don't know who you saw, but on these forums you can find the names of peyronies specialists who want to help you.

I'm not sure how uncommon your case is. : / But I think we all know how emotionally devestating this disease is.

Have you started treatment? The main protocol here is VED and Pentox. But there are other options as well, and last resort there is a penile implant, that believe it or not works damn well and satisfies. I know how painful this is, but there will be a solution for you.

I'm sad your going through this, but glad you found these boards.

Chris

I just wanted to say hello and tell you that there is hope and help. My doctor is Dr. Douglas Milam at Vanderbilt. He helped me when no other doctor could. He restored my sex life with my beautiful green eyed wife, we have been married 45 years now.

Like Nevo I highly recommend the VED exercise. The single cylinder exercise I used is posted in the VED thread. Only 15 minutes a day. It will help keep your penis healthy and restore some lost size. Also if you have any ED daily cialis is recommended.

There is a lot of information here. You have found a group that will help and support you. Peyronies is a battle but you can win the war. Remember never - ever ever give up. Any questions please ask.

Chris:

If you have questions regarding an implant, Jackp is your man. The implant he got sounds awesome. So if the other treatments don't work to your satisfaction, please consider that as your final option. If my situation were a bit worse, I would definitely go for it.

If you have questions on VED, please talk to Old Man. He's the go-to-guy for VED treatment.

If you have questions regarding testosterone, HGH, HCG, and other supplements, let me know and I'll be glad to answer your questions.

If you are interested in traction, there's a large amount of people that use that as therapy so look around and someone can answer your questions. I use one that I wear all the time.

And as NeoV said, you should also get on Pentox as soon as possible as long as there are no contraindications for you.

I've definitely considered suicide but that's not a solution. We're all here to help. Just let us know what questions you have and we'll do our best to help you. The fact that you have no curve and you have no problems with erections is a huge plus for you. I'm dealing with curvature and ED. So there is a lot of hope here for all of us.
Got Testosterone?

Thanks everyone, I kind of gave up, after reading all of your support I am going to make an appointment with the dr that they referred me to that I never went to, Dr Suh I think.

Hi Chris
I would like to reinforce what Matt has said: look at the positive, straight penis, good erection, no ED, no mention of pain. This sounds a lot better then a lot of guys on this forum. There is a lot of hope and options for you! Please read https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3453.0.html and send me a private message if you consider this to be of interest to you.
Cheers

Hang in there Chris, together we can find hope and the strength to fight this nasty infliction. I have  a rather nasty case of Peyroines myself with very large plaque deposits at the base and on both sidestep my penis. I do have a nasty curve but ED is not yet an issue and sex is still possible although somewhat uncomfortable. I suffer almost constant itching and discomfort almost every minute of every day. I too have seriously considered suicide. But with the help of others on this forum I have found a doctor to prescribe me the Pentox and Cialis recommend by those who know on this forum and I have also purchased a single cylinder VED and have begun that program. I'm not certain that any of these are going to make a difference but based on the personal experience of others it's certainly worth following thru and giving it a chance. All the best to you brother! Let's beat this evil!

Chris, the first thing you should work on is your mental state. Everyone is worth too much to even think about suicide. I hope you have insurance to see a Psychiatrist. If you do not like the doctor, see another Psychiatrist. Try to get your bad thoughts away. After you are fine, mentally, then work with the Penis problems. Socrates
