Hello everyone,

My name is Paul. I suffered an injury a while back (not sure of the exact timeframe, but I would say almost 2 years ago). I was using the Bathmate Hydro Pump and doing exercises to help create gains in length and girth. However, one night I removed the Bathmate to find that my penis looked as those an invisible, thing string was wrapped around it and suppressing it tightly. I took time off from the exercises, as you could imagine, figuring that everything would resolve over time.

Well, about a year and a half later, I started to notice this odd band-like feeling around the mid of my shaft. I also started to notice that the shaft was quite thin in one area compared to the others; imagine a slight hourglass, if you will. Well, When this happened, I decided to go to my Dr., who sent me to a urologist. I had done my fair share of research before my visit, and was hoping it was nothing to the tune of Peyronie's. However, after meeting with my urologist, he confirmed that it was exactly that. Now, he didn't want to operate on it right away, as he said it's right on top of the main nerve and sensory area of the penis. So I rescheduled to see him in January of 2014.

Flash forward to last week. I noticed a few things:

1.) My erection quality wasn't as good as it was a few months ago
2.) I started to have pain when having an erection, around the area where the Peyronie's was diagnosed
3.) I now started to notice a loss of length. I'm about an inch shorter.

I feel like I can't simply wait around and watch this happen. In fact, I refuse to do that. So I found this site, hoping that somebody, anybody, could shed some light on this for me. Should I see my Dr. again, earlier than his recommended January appointment? Being 23, this is all really frightening to me, as I'm sure it is to many of you as well.

I have no idea where to start. I really want to try and stop the regression and potentially reverse the effects, without having to rely on surgery.  I've already had to go under the knife my fair share of times, and I would love to avoid it again.

Help....please.  :-\

Yeah Paul, don't wait! Talk to your Dr asap or find another one, but you need to take medication now, either Pentox or Verapamil or whatever your Dr says.

The doctor didn't propose you any medication for the pain and no any other medications?
Find an other doctor as soon as you can, as betseyagopian wrote.
Quotehe didn't want to operate on it right away, as he said it's right on top of the main nerve and sensory area of the penis.
Find an other doctor. Because he don't want to operate from the wrong reason. You are still in the acute stage I suppose, you should try first other treatments that may help.

Dear Paul,

I'm from the US as well, 26 years old and got this disease 2 years ago.

Do you mean that you injured yourself with the bathmate? Or was it a separate occurrence? The reason I ask is because, while overpumping with VED is known to be able to cause serious damage, and therefore peyronies, it is still thought to be therapeutic, even after injury, if done right and not overpumped. I also don't know if bathmate is able to overpump.

If you did injure your penis prior during sex or masturbation, it may have taken some time before you really noticed the changes.
While I did have a kind of chronic inflammation in my penis after sex, it wasn't until a girl bent me a bit too much that peyronies really started. It took several weeks after the injury before I started to see changes take place, after that was the active and changing phase.

Here the protocol is fairly simple;

See a peyronies specialist, use VED (or.. bathmate??), traction, nutrition/supplementation/exercise, and take pentox if you want.

Light manual stretching has helped me very much over these years keep my penis straight. Make sure your erections are always hard if you choose to masturbate or have sex. It will get worse and worse until you make sure of this. Sex or masturbation with a less than "filled out" penis will worsen the issue.

Sorry your here, but welcome to the forums. Ask away and read around. PM me if you like or any of us. All of us go through mental anguish with this, but there are ways to get through it. There are plenty of very experienced older users here with a lot of knowledge of the disease, here as well as guys in our twenties trying to figure this all out. You aren't alone!

With the bathmate most people dont have issues in curious to know what exactly happen... are you 100 percent positive thats where your injury came from.

I was doing stretches and using the bathmats and randomly, one session after using it, I noticed that it looked the way I described. Right after pulling the bathmate off. It's the only way I can imagine the injury taking place, the fact I pushed it too hard.

Hey V, thank you for the support! Yes, I believe I injured myself as a result of pushing a jelq/bathmate routine a bit too far. I feel like I just need to be active about this, and I have no idea exactly where to start, especially since the Dr. I saw was the best in the area, apparently (I'm form Los Angeles). His advice didn't really ease my mind at all.

So an update on my situation:

The urologist who originally diagnosed me, well, I don't really care for him much. His advice of "let it be for a few months and come back and we will see if it's any better" wasn't comforting at all. So, I found the highest rated urologist in my area (San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles, CA) and booked an appointment. The earliest I could be seen was 12/10/13. So that gives me 5 weeks. I don't know if I should do anything during these 5 weeks or not, since I haven't been given any specific feedback or instructions from a urologist.

Thoughts? They'd be greatly appreciated :)

I've just realised, that actually looks like it links to a bunch of forum rules etc, which might by why people skip over it.

pmj13:

The link above is actually a link directly to an article which will tell you what you need to do next to have the best chance of a good outcome with peyronies, what treatments you can get hold of immediately, how to get what you need from your doctor (pentox) and what not to do.

It is 100% worth you taking a look at it.
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.
