Hi. Just a few basic questions on venous leak- I've had Peyronies for 10 years now.

-Is venous leak a major cause of ED in Peyronies victims?
-Does the plaque of Peyronies cause the venous leak?
-Doesn't the plaque fissure in Peyronies stabilize, therefore stopping the progression of venous leak as well?
-Does Peyronies progress for longer than I thought it did? (I thought after a year or so it was pretty much 'set'.)
-If worsening of Peyronies is unlikely after 10 years, can I expect that my erections will not get worse either- at least not because of Peyronies?
-Are things like not getting erections in the morning or from sitting on the bus just normal at age 50? Is it normal at my age to make out with a woman and become very aroused but not necessarily fully erect?
-I heard you need to take care of venous 'the quicker the better.' What does that mean? Aside from an operation, how could I take care of it (assuming I may have it)? Would a constrictor work just fine? I'm happy with that.

With a VED I can get full, stiff erections and with a constrictor ring or even without one I can maintain them. I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable but note that I am not involved with anyone right now and this is by own stimulation. I don't know about the real thing. Before I became concerned about ED (I had a gf for a while and had a lot of trouble performing) I rarely got a full erection. In regular masturbation, my penis tends to go from stiffer to flaccid to stiffer again depending on the intensity of fantasy, so the mind obviously does play a role. But I don't get erections automatically and keep them like when I was younger or pre-Peyronies.
I understand that you can have venous leakage independent of Peyronies, but I'm wondering if most men with Peyronies also have venous leakage as a result.
I have not tried ED medications such as Cialis yet. I'm in China, and not sure how to get them inexpensively ($20 a pop if I buy them here).

-Is venous leak a major cause of ED in Peyronies victims?

Yes. It is in me. My penis can't hold the blood so it flows out.

-Does the plaque of Peyronies cause the venous leak?

The plaque can make it hard for your veins to close to hold the blood in and the scarring doesn't allow your penis to expand as normal.

-Doesn't the plaque fissure in Peyronies stabilize, therefore stopping the progression of venous leak as well?

It depends on the person but once you start fighting back, typically you can start making progress against it but at least hold your ground.

-Does Peyronies progress for longer than I thought it did? (I thought after a year or so it was pretty much 'set'.)

It depends on the person but also if you're not doing anything to stop it, it can progress. There's no set schedule for Peyronie's.

-If worsening of Peyronies is unlikely after 10 years, can I expect that my erections will not get worse either- at least not because of Peyronies?

As you get older, your erections will naturally get weaker. Think about testosterone and HGH shots and turn back the hands of time. I'm on testosterone and my libido is insane, I'm stronger than I was 15 years ago, and I look great. Plus, all my urologists have stated that boosting testosterone is one key to fighting Peyronie's.

-Are things like not getting erections in the morning or from sitting on the bus just normal at age 50?

It depends on the person. Since I changed my diet and started shooting testosterone, I ride the bus with constant erections. I'm 50 years old next month.

Is it normal at my age to make out with a woman and become very aroused but not necessarily fully erect?

Yes.

-I heard you need to take care of venous 'the quicker the better.' What does that mean? Aside from an operation, how could I take care of it (assuming I may have it)? Would a constrictor work just fine? I'm happy with that.

Depending on your budget:

(1) VED every day for 30 minutes or more.
(2) Wear a constriction ring after the VED to hold the blood as long as possible.
(3) Use a traction device for at least 4 hours per day.
(4) Take a good amount of L-Arginine or Citrulline every day and eat protein & cut out sugars and other useless carbs.
(5) Raise your testosterone. Also, consider injecting Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)
(6) Inject HGH
(7) Begin PRP treatment
(8) Stem cell injections

Do what I do:

(1) Take Viagra and/or Cialis
(2) Use the VED
(3) Put on the constrictor ring
(4) Consider using QuadMix if you can't maintain an erection.
(5) Hire an escort who you can practice on to see how well you can perform in your current Peyronie's situation. Using an escort raised my confidence. She was not critical of me and I didn't care about impressing her but she had enough patience to help me figure out what positions work best. I was also able to test how well I could maintain an erection. Don't hire a hooker. Find an attractive escort (PM me & I'll tell you the website to go to and how to find a reliable girl. As far as I'm concerned, this is not illegal or immoral. This is therapy. I'm not hiring these girls because I want to but because I can practice on them for the reasons stated above.

I understand that you can have venous leakage independent of Peyronies, but I'm wondering if most men with Peyronies also have venous leakage as a result.

It depends. Some do and some don't. You're asking an academic question. Just focus on your situation unless you're asking these questions to start a website on Peyronie's.

I have not tried ED medications such as Cialis yet. I'm in China, and not sure how to get them inexpensively ($20 a pop if I buy them here).

There are some websites where you can buy it from. Here's one:

https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/cialis

Here's for Viagra:

I recommend you get both drugs and see which one works best for you.

Good luck.

I have had venous leakage for may years. I agree with Matt mostly but there are only two ways to have an erection if the ED pills do not help.

1. A VED with a constriction ring. You can only ware a constriction ring for 30 minutes.

2. A penile implant with modeling. The AMS 700 LGX implant is the only one that expands in length as well as girth. It will help restore lost penile size. Modeling, done properly, will bring your erection to within 10 degrees of straight.

I do not recommend penile injections of tri-mix or other drugs to make you erect. They will make the peyronies worse and cause corporal fibrosis.

MattFoley

Actually, let me clarify on the QuadMix. Yes, it can make Peyronie's worse but not for sure. I use it with no ill effect. Again, it depends on the person and what triggers their Peyronie's.

Matt

One of the ingredients in quadmix is PGE1. That is the same as Edex and Carvaject. It will cause peyronies. Have you read the package insert, I have. All I can say is be careful and keep a watchful eye on your penis.

Jackp

MattFoley

jackp, I know what you're talking about. It can cause Peyronie's, I agree, but it's not a guarantee. The package insert for Caverject states that there is a 3% chance of getting Peyronie's.

I've used Quadmix a bunch of times and had no side effects.

Phillip64's question were mostly related to venous leakage, and he doesn't even know if he has this. Reading the full post he states that he can achieve and maintain an erection to a degree. Age and mental stress has a lot to do with erection quality. My understanding is the with true venous leakage that it isn't possible to achieve an erection unless you use a VED with a constriction ring. But constriction rings should not be worn more than 30 minutes so fresh oxygen rich blood can flow into your penis again.

While MattFoley has provided a broad list of therapies, this is like the full list of things to try for Peyronies. Some known to work and some still under trial. But not all of these are treatments for venous leakage. Sorry Matt, just not sure I follow your line of thinking on this one.

Les, each one of those 8 items either has an effect on venous leakage or helps with a firmer erection in general. Which one of them were you thinking had no effect on venous leakage or erection quality? Anything that brings or forces more blood into the penis is good and considered treatment for venous leakage.

Even with venous leakage you can achieve an erection however the quality of it will vary depending on the leakage itself. I have venous leakage pretty bad but I can still get an erection without any assistance. The quality of it is bad.

Additionally, we all agree the 30 minute rule is important with regards to VED and constriction rings.

Matt:

I have to side with Les's comments about venous leakage. You say that you have serious venous leakage, but can still get an erection and maintain it at least for a while. And, the quality of these erections are not very good. Well, I think you are wrong about what venous leakage means. I have many years of experience with venous leakage, since the age of 55 BTW!

IMHO, if you have serious venous leakage like us older guys who cannot get nor keep an erection naturally, you do not have serious leakage!!

In addition, you say that VED therapy can help venous leakage get better. Wrong, it only helps one get better and firmer erections, but they can only be maintained with a restrictor ring or rings if more than onw is necessary to hold up the erection.

Just my 2 cents on the matter! :-X

One other thing if you have serious venous leakage then injections will not work. I know I tried them for about a year.

With serious venous leakage there are only 2 things that will work.

1. The VED with a constriction ring. 30 minute time limit with the constriction ring.

2. A penile implant.  Works any time for as long as you and/or she likes.

Jackp

MattFoley

Old Man, I guess your idea of "serious" and my idea of "serious" venous leakage are different.  ;)

When I'm speaking about venous leakage I'm throwing in leakage that occurs because of all factors, including scarring. The VED will help with firmer erections simply because there's less leakage. You can't have firmer erections without less leakage. Isn't that correct? Dr. Lue has me doing VED treatment because he believes that the VED treatment will either remodel the scarring or create alternate routes for blood to flow. And, most importantly, the plaque running on the dorsal vein is preventing a tight closure of the vein allowing for leakage. Lue says that the VED can change that situation so that the leakage can be eliminated or minimized.

Please correct me if I'm missing something.

jackp:

What injections are you talking about?

Also, once again I want to thank you for the info on the penile implant. At the very least it leaves me with an "end-game" in case everything doesn't work.

Matt:

It is apparent that we will never agree about the subject of venous leakage, so I am not going to address it any further.

At my age of 84, I have more experience in that subject than more uros around the world. If any of them ever had the problem, they would know what I am talking about. I am sure that other older guys who have the problem on the forum know where I am coming from.

Venous leakage can occur from many different things, not just plaque, nodules or other symptoms of Peyronies Disease. So far as I am concerned, the subject is closed never to be opened again by me. Just hope that you can find some way to help with your situation, but I am afraid that you are abusing your most prized possession!!

Also this is my last post on the subject. Venous leakage is not only caused by peyronies the most common cause is cardio vascular problems.  The health of the penis is a reflection on your heart condition.  Just ask any cardiologist.  A year after my Color Doppler I had to have 2 heart stents.

When the doctor did a Color Doppler on my penis at first he did the ultra sound with me flaccid. He then injected PGE1 to induce an erection. The injection did not induce an erection and the Doppler showed severe venous leakage.

I tried the strongest dose the compounding pharmacy could make. I injected a full 10 units. At first a little to no help.

Old Man, I'm not sure where you think we disagree. I completely agree with the following you just said:

Venous leakage can occur from many different things, not just plaque, nodules or other symptoms of Peyronies Disease.

I agree that I'm taking a risk using the Quadmix and pray that I don't do any further damage.

Jackp, if you didn't get any benefit from Quadmix or TriMix injections then yes, I can say you have serious, serious venous leakage. At least with Quadmix, I always get an erection I can use. The only problem is that without first using the VED, I can't get it to expand to the maximum size. And it really helps me to use a constriction device as well.

So for at least now, I can put off getting an implant.

Hi all,

I'm new in this forum...had been diagnosed with peyronie, have a large plague at the base on the left side and ed...i suspect it is due to venous leakage, i can get erections by kissing or constantly touching it, but it goes down rather fast.....if its caused by the presence of the plague or scar tissues, will my condition improve if the scar tissue gradually diminishes?

Note: I'm only 24 and can;t afford expensive urologists, just seeking advice...please help

Guys- I wish I had some leakage! It would be great to feel a  partial erection. Without the VED there is no blood flowing in! So I'm glad I have it. Matt BTW as you know I have done many cycles of HGH, my T levels always stay over 1000. Neither has helped with erections, but the HGH did produce some new cell growth and helped with regaining size after the prostatectomy.Regards Inkhorn

Hi guys,
I need help, need good advice. So this is my case,
I'm only 24, had peyronie for like 4 years now...30 degrees bend downward and a dent on the left(self-diagnosed). haven't done anything till now because i recently met a girl and can;t find any uro that treats peyronie in Malaysia!!!I don;t mind the bend too much but the main problem is my ed. i rarely have morning wood, not very strong and the moment i wakes up it will disappear. do not get spontaneous erections, but able to get em with my gf..(like a date in the mall, could get 3-4 nice erections for about 1)the problem is, the erection fades very quickly about 10 seconds when she isn;t around, and it needs constant stimulation to continue being hard. Tried taking pycnogenol 30mg x2 twice and l-arginine 1500mg for about 3 weeks now, don't feel any difference...mental state stressed and depressed. What should i do?try cock rings?cialis/viagra/levitra?kegel?

If you can't find any urologist that specialized in Peyronies, try to find one in Singapore or Thailand.
Regarding treatment, I was proposing you to start VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and CoQ10.
Try using Cialis or Viagra for intercourse, first try the lower dosages (Cialis 5 mg or 10 mg, Viagra 25 mg or 50 mg)
I never tried Levitra, some reporting good results.
In addition, I would advice you to make a Testosterone test.

Hi James,

I'm current pursuing my degree in engineering and still need about 2 months to complete but i can't keep this problem out of my mind. Maybe i'll travel soon but have not told my parents so i'm using my own pocket money.
So, i should not use traction?I've actually purchased andropeyronie but haven't had the time to try.
I've meet 3 urologists actually, two of them scolded me and say its in my head, one of them only proposed surgery and prescribed me with zydena, have you heard of it?i tried at 50mg daily but doesnt feel any effect. I've done testosterone tests and the result is normal but not sure of the reading though.

Also i've another question, assuming i'm taking viagra or levitra or cialis, at a state of depressed mind, will the drugs do any effect?or i need to be relax for it to work?
And do you have any recommendation on specialist to look for in Thailand?
The only thing i can get access of is serrapeptase and nattokinase, have been using for a month and can feel the lump on the base of my penis is slightly smaller. Oh, there is a node on the left side at the base that can;t be felt at all when flaccid but can feel easily when it erects. i suspect this is the plague.
Is this the end of my sexual life?i've never had intercourse even, are there members in this forum that had the same unlucky fate and condition can be improved?

james1947

First and most important is RELAX, CONCENTRATE and finish your degree. Two months is a short time and make yourself busy with your engineering degree.
I will answer you what is my opinion on all your question, but I will say again, put everything aside and concentrate to your engineering degree:
QuoteSo, i should not use traction?I've actually purchased andropeyronie
Give it a try after you finish your degree. Don't spend time on it now
Quotehave not told my parents
I know that Malaysia is a conservative country, but I was talking to my parents. Of course I don't know your parents and your relations with them, but you may be surprised positively because most of the parents want to see they kids happy.
Quotezydena
What I find by a google search is that is a new made in India ED drug:....udenafil, which will be marketed under the brand name Udezire, will be long-acting, but with minimal side effects.
I don't know if it will help softening the plaques. Cialis helping in softening Peyronies plaques, Viagra for example, not.
QuoteI've done testosterone tests and the result is normal
For total testosterone, the normal range for your age is between 250 to 1070 ng/dL so anywhere in between to doctor will tell you that is normal. WRONG. You should be in the upper side of the scale because you are younger that 25. Myself I am at 893 even my age is 66 and can be much lower (like 1% less per year from 30 year up, maximum for my age 685). Also you should check the free testosterone. It should be in the range of 9-30 ng/dL, always better on the upper side.
Quoteassuming i'm taking viagra or levitra or cialis, at a state of depressed mind...
Depressed mind will not help of course, you should think positive so it will help much more :)
Quotei can get access of is serrapeptase and nattokinase
I don't know how much they can help, VED, Pentox, low dose Cialis and CoQ10 will help in most cases.
QuoteIs this the end of my sexual life?
NO, NO, NO & BIG NO!!! Have many things to do, especially when you are young.
As a summary of my answers:
Take a break, relax, finish your Engineering degree first, than fight this disease as much as you can.

James and Emo:

OK, I did take a good long look at the web site. IMHO, this is not a very good ''cockring'' substitute. The device simply does not have the capability to sufficiently hold enough pressure on the corpora to keep the blood captured there. A good cockring must be able to hold up an erection for at least 30 minutes to allow for sex. 30 minutes is the maximum time limit for using any cock ring (often called tension ring).

I have used many and varied cock rings since the age of 55 years (almost 85 now). And based on my 20 plus years of using cock ring there is really only one excellent cockring available to properly hold up erections without allowing more than normal pressure on the urethra. They are the old Osbon Company tension rings that were originally furnished with the Osbon Erecaid Esteem and Classic design VEDs.

These are the rings that I use now and have since 1995. They are now sold by the Timm Medical, Inc. company located in MN in the USA under the Osbon brand name. These rings are especially made with a design that puts pressure on the two chambers of the corpora and at the same time leaves a U shaped opening where the urethra fits into the rings to prevent closing it when the rings are applied. The Timm Medical Division of the Endorcare Company is the official web site where these rings are available.

Now a word about the rings that come with the current Augusta Medical Systems VEDs:  They are of good and durable medical grade material, but are of a very different design. I have only used the new design rings several times simply because I have a supply of the Osbon rings and have had for quite some time.

I will be glad to assist any and all who desire to try the Osbon rings. Address a PM to me for any help desired by any member wanting to use them.

I think the product sounds interesting. I like the idea of it not "trapping" ejaculation, which I find quite an uncomfortable sensation caused by other tension bands I've experimented with. I'm tempted to give it a try.

Nellah

Hey guys, I'd like to jump in here. I've been inactive on the boards for about two years but it's becoming imperative that I return and try to get some answers/support. If any of these questions are better suited for a different place in the forum, please advise!

I've had Peyronie's since 17 years old, and the condition has improved only marginally as my diet and state of mind have steadily strengthened over time. I can report that I'm happier and healthier than ever before. I wish I had known the things about the body back then that I do now. I probably would have avoided any kind of injury altogether.

Quick snapshot: I have very slight curvature to the left, so slight that it was initially hard to tell whether it's congenital or a result of the disease. However, being that I noticed it shortly after the only remembered instance of 'trauma' that I can account for, I'm going to attribute it to my Peyronie's.

As of right now, neither pain (though present mildly) nor curvature is affecting my sexual performance. Quality of erections, however, is an incredible trouble-point for me. After visiting a urologist, receiving an injection to test erection quality, he concluded that blood flow was not an issue at all, as strong flow was detected but even with the injection I was unable to produce an erection. He said that I had venous leak and proceeded to specify that 'no known cure or treatment' is available, save for PDE5 inhibitors which can be used to manage the disease at best, although venous leak is likely to worsen over time.

Currently, I cannot maintain a quality erection on my back without Cialis, and my erection quality reaches anywhere from 70-85% while standing, leaning, or from above. If I shift my hips to one end and sort of pinch off the flow by sandwiching my inner groin and my right inner thigh together, I can achieve a nearly full erection for as long as I hold that position. Similarly, if I cross my legs and kind of isometrically flex, I can maintain a slightly better erection on my back (though this is ultimately not practical for sexual activity or intercourse). Also, while sitting, if some pressure is naturally applied to the perineal area, I can achieve a 85-95% quality erection, but if I shift, move, or release that pressure, my erection will not remain.

At 26 years old, it's not an exaggeration to say that I'm in something of a panic. I've had numerous sexual encounters, and, as I'm sure I'm not the first to experience, women will often take it quite personally if you cannot perform. I understand that is where communication is imperative, but emotions can easily overpower our ability to reason through things. Particularly at my age, I think girls are less likely to understand or know how to relate to such an issue (the condition is a little before my time, wouldn't you say?)

I have a thousand questions and I'm not sure where to start, so maybe I'll pick my five most crucial.

Can venous leak be battled or improved upon by traction devices, diet, or massage to the place of plaque or injury (neither I nor my urologist could locate a plaque, but I did develop an hourglass which is present in flaccid state, though this has largely subsided over time)?

Does a 5mg or 10mg dose of Cialis daily stand to improve upon my quality of erection or venous leak over time by sending nutritious blood and oxygen to the penis and consequently the injury site? Can Pentox do this?

Who on these boards is the guru(s), as it were, regarding the regimen/cocktail (pardon the pun) best suited for rehabilitation? Can anyone chime in and help me put together a regimen for myself?

At nearly a decade after the incident, am I even in the running to make improvements upon the damage/scar tissue that's formed?

I currently do not have health insurance. Are sites like river pharmacy trustworthy in supplying Cialis and other prescriptions? Do we have a demographic of users that receive a supply through them? What if I cannot obtain a prescription?

Does Cialis lose efficacy on the long-term? Meaning, will I need an increasingly large dose to achieve the same benefit (I'm more referring to body adjustment, and less to the natural declination of erection quality as I age which is a possibility from all that I've gathered)?

Does anyone know of any reputable urologists in Arizona/California that might work with someone who is uninsured?

Also worth mentioning, as of right now, I do not have morning erections without considerable stimulation. This is not surprising, as I sleep on my back for the most part and I believe venous leak is my biggest foe at the moment. There are times where, if sleeping on my side, I can achieve a 75% erection without effort. That's the closest I get to any 'morning wood.'

During phases of the year where I'm at my physical best, it still does not seem to be enough. I'm a very active practitioner of yoga, kung fu, and am very conscientious of my diet. I am a thin, medium build, at a good, healthy weight, and my blood pressure and cholesterol, while high during tests in the past, are in good range.

My testosterone fell in the 400's, which I understand is rather low for my age. I expressed some concern and was told this was 'normal.' Granted, I'm much more healthy now than two years ago when this test was done.

Okay, I better wrap it up. That's where I'm at right now, guys! I don't know what to do. I was once on Pentox and cialis daily, but no longer. I don't have the resources or the benefits at the moment, but may be able to obtain cialis in the coming weeks via river pharmacy or one of these other international suppliers.

Any advice, support, or insight would be greatly encouraged.

I hope that some of the guys with venous leakage experience will chime in here. Cialis/Viagra might help a little with achieving and erection they are certainly no cure for venous leakage. To obtain an erection obviously the veins carrying blood out of the penis get 'closed off' due to the pressure exerted by the filling of the corpora chambers. It actually is quite a complex process if you study it.

But, back to the point. I am only aware that venous leakage is an issue that can only be corrected with surgery. But admittedly this is not my area of expertise.
