Erection sometimes slow to fill with blood

I have peyronie's disease.  I've had it for at least 4 months.  Probably 5.  I have a curve - maybe 10 or 15 degrees.  It doesn't seem to have progressed for the past 2-3 months.  However something scary has happened twice in the past week.  When I was getting an erection my penis filled with blood on the bottom first, stopping about halfway up or so.  It took an additional second or two for the blood to fill the top as well.  It kind of freaked me out and made me worry I might develop an hourglass deformation or possibly even that the plaque will eventually block the top half of my penis from becoming erect.  This would be one of the worst possible outcomes.

As far as I understand, the problem with not getting an erection isn't just that the penis is soft, it is that it is less sensitive to pleasure when it doesn't become flushed with blood.  Or does it only matter that the skin gets flushed with blood and this is separate from getting an erection?  Do guys with penile implants feel the same amount of pleasure that they did pre-implant?  Is it possible for men with erection dysfunction to cum while soft?

From what you describe I would get on the VED program ASAP!!! The first 12-18 months are crucial, the VED will help keep you from loosing size. Go to a good urologist an get a prescription for 5mg of daily Cialis (you can get a coupon for a free month at Cialis.com) and possibly Pentox. I know you don't want to hear it but is about all he can do until you stabilize.

With my implant I still feel the same amount of pleasure as I did before. Well really more because I do not have the fear of loosing my erection anymore.  Any yes is is possible to cum from ED with a soft penis. It is no where near time for you to consider an implant. Read the article I posted on the Urologist and other Doctors, Healing Broken Hearts. That will give you some idea of your options.

Your advice sounds good however I am having daily pain while flaccid so I'm afraid the VED will irritate things.  If the pain eventually goes away I will seriously consider VED.  As for pentox I was on it for 1.5 months and it gave me serious sleep deprivation and anxiety so I stopped.  I'm considering giving it another try in a week.  (I have some important things coming up this week so I can't start now).  I will consider daily cialis - is it possible to become dependent on it for erections from such a dose?  I'm trying my best to schedule another urologist appointment but it is taking forever...

Do you feel any plaque? Where is the pain come from? Could you describe your symptoms more detailed?

I have never heard of becoming dependant on Cialis or any of the other ED drugs.  Things for ED I would not try are injections with trimix or PGE1. Injections into the corpora cavernosum's will cause corporal fibrosis.

I have no palpable plaque.  I am trying to get an ultrasound to find out exactly where and how much plaque I have.  I gave a detailed description of my pain here https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,3697.msg48303.html#msg48303.

Somehow peyronie's is almost always followed by cpps. Cpps can cause temporary changes in your penis and pain. So that the original pain and deformations are worsened by cpps, like in my case. I tried pelvic floor stretches, but never had time enough to do them regularly. I noticed that my curve caused by the scar is worsened by the tightness that cpps is causing. After a few days exercising, my deformations were almost not noticable. I have now a functional penis and I'm happy the deformations are not progressing. Only thing that is annoying me is the pain. I'm sure it is more cpps related, because it's always worse after ejaculating. It's a very complicated disease.

I know I suffered trauma to the penis around the time I developed peyronie's and I originally thought that was the cause of the pain.  At this point I don't know if it some sort of damage from trauma, or plaque pressing against nerves, or just CPPS.  I haven't had sex in 2 months because I'm afraid of things getting worse.  I'm really trying to figure out what is causing the pain but it seems urologists are not very helpful in this area.  If the pain is trauma then I should definitely not have sex and hope that it heals.  If the pain is plaque or CPPS then although sex may make the pain worse, it might just be temporary and not cause any real damage.  Hard to say, but for now I'm playing it safe and no sex.

I had a trauma too, 11 months ago. How did you injure your penis?

My case is a bit strange.  I was a virgin until 27 when I met my girlfriend.  She was also a virgin.  We started having sex and it felt great, but I was experiencing some discomfort from certain positions and in general I was being too rough on my penis.  My girlfriend and I watched a lot of porn so we thought it was normal to be very rough.  I didn't think of my penis as delicate, but rather as something "solid".  I didn't have any pain during intercourse, just mild discomfort that I ignored.  I actually noticed a slight curve in my penis about a month and a half after I started having sex but it was so small I thought I might be imagining it.  Then another month later I began to have chronic pain all day long while flaccid.  It developed randomly, not immediately after sex.  In fact I think it had been several days since I had sex when it happened.  When I would get an erection the pain would disapear so I kept having sex.

A week later my penis came out of my girlfriend's vagina and hit her pubic bone.  Again there was no pain but there was some discomfort.  I did not lose my erection at all.  After finishing, the pain was worse.  I went to see a urologist who told me I have peyronie's disease (without doing any tests) and that it was ok to have sex.  I didn't believe him about peyronie's disease because there was no plaque or pain on erection and the curve was very slight.  I thought I should stop having sex but since the urologist said it was ok and sex felt so good I kept doing it.  Eventually sex started to irritate my penis and increase the pain, whereas at first it did not irritate my penis at all.

I went to see a different urologist who told me there is no reason to believe I have peyronie's and I might have prostatitis because I also developed pain in perenium, testicles, and urinary pressure after hitting my girlfriend's pubic bone.  Again he did no tests, and simply told me to take cipro for a month.  I didn't take it because I thought it didn't make sense that I would have a bacterial infection from trauma to my penis.

I continued having sex for another month or two but with much less frequency and being very gentle instead of rough.  However, the pain got worse after sex, so eventually I gave up on having sex.  Then I noticed the curve getting worse and I started to get pain on erection, not just while flaccid.  This was when I realized that I probably did have peyronie's disease.  I saw a 3rd urologist who is experienced in treating peyronie's disease and he confirmed that I did have peyronie's disease.  I haven't had sex for 2 months but I still have pain all day long and on erection.

I do know that a urologist can detect a prostate infection with a urine sample. Then he usually does a DRE and takes a sample of prostate fluid to verify the urine sample.  With the symptoms you describe you should have taken the Cipro, it is the number 1 antibiotic or prostate infection.

As for sex. All the doctors I know do not advise that you stop having sex. When you stop having sex the infection builds up in the prostate. I was actually told the more sex you have with a prostate infection the better.  I asked him to write me a prescription for my wife and he just smiled.

Pain with peyronies is hard to treat! Find a great peyronies specialist and do what he tells you. Not taking his advice or medication will only make you worse.

Porn is not real life. Stop having rough sex.  Learn to make love and you will experience the joy of sex.

Trust me, I'm never doing anything rough on my penis ever again.  I wish I could make love, but I can't have sex anymore without pain.  I am currently taking sulfamethoxazole for prostatitis right now.  The urologist did a urine sample but it came back clean.  He did not test my prostate fluid.  I don't really think the pain is from prostatitis.  Actually my prostatitis symptoms were always pretty mild and at this point they are more or less gone.  I don't know if this is because of the antibiotic or not.  However, the penile pain is showing no improvement.

I was listening to Jack. He have long experience with different problems, also from listening to other people.
As Jack has told you, you should find a Peyronies specialist, and get treatment first of all for the pain. In most cases, Pentox will help. Sooner will be better.

I have had prostate problems since I was 35, I'm 70 now. Prostate problems run in my family. I can tell you that the first time I had a prostate problem it took over a year to clear up.  Ejaculation was painful, I did it any way! To stop having sex would have made it worse.

If the doctor did not do a DRE with prostate massage, take a sample of prostate fluid and examine it under a microscope he did not do his job. Find another doctor!

There is one simple thing that can help. Drink 2 8oz. glasses of Cranberry Juice Cocktail every day. It is an acquired taste and best ice cold. Do not mix it with anyother juice. It is not a cure but it helps kill the bacteria in the urinary tract. Do not drink citrus juice while you have any sign of a prostate infection, they only make it worse.

Thanks for your reply but I am pretty sure the penile pain is not from prostate problems.  I am pretty sure it is from plaque or trauma.  It's not that having sex just hurts while i have sex and then I'm ok.  Having sex will make things irritated for days if not weeks or permanently.  Trust me, if I thought it was ok to have sex I would be having sex every chance I could.  Sex is great.  As for seeing a new urologist I am desperately trying to, but it is seemingly impossible to even schedule an appointment.  We have a vast shortage of doctors here in the US.  I think we need about 10 times as many as we have.
