Hi all I am fairly new to this and after some succes with pentox eliminating most of the pain, I have decided to purchase the gold extender penis stretcher from Ebay.
Seems like a decent gimmick version for $37.
Has anybody tried this and effects on curvature.
My bigest concern is downward curve right below glans and afraid stretcher might make it worse.

Thanks in advance!

dfurman-have you tried this 'gold extender' yet? I'm curious about it as well, as the only difference between it and the expensive ones appear to be the 'comfort straps', minor maybe, not sure.

dfurman

I stopped using it after 5 occasions in fears of aggravating my situation.
Although it seems very safe an comfortable to wear; I'd much rather await my Uro's approval on thisĀ·
I am scheduled my next visit in one week and honestly I ''ve learned the hard way no to mess around with my penisĀ· I will update on my doctor's advise.

Furman-thanks, I'm eagerly awaiting your input. My uro said not to bother with ANY traction device.. not exactly what I wanted to hear from him....I think he just wants to CUT-again, not what I want to hear.

dfurman

BBB, my uro adviced against it. Just like you that's not what I wanted to hear...but better safe than sorry.
Other than pentox which I am already on, I guess the hope lies in Xiaflex.
Good luck!

BBB and dfurman- It doesn't surprise me that the Uro said no to the traction. Mine kind of just shrugged his shoulders and gave me tacit assent. Like you said, maybe he just wants to cut. Unless he's a specialist at peyronies, he could be hacking his way through the jungle like the rest of us. No disrespect to the doc's, but they have always been a necessary evil for me. To diagnose, prescribe and hopefully give us direction. Ultimately, in this day, with the web and forums like this, we have to carve out our on plan based on what Docs say, our own research, and the experience of others. Remember the sign outside their office says still "practicing". Regards Inkhorn

Inkhorn;

Totally agree with you. We are brought up to believe that doctors, and the medical profession in general, are infallible. That whatever they say must be gospel. Like you, I don't believe that's the case.

Re traction, there is too much evidence, albeit some anecdotal, that it can help with at least straightening any curvature.

I agree with some of the posts regarding traction, many leading Peyronies experts advising to use traction.
