My penis bends to the left by about 10 degrees as I get hard, but if I straighten it out it stays straight as it used to be before the accident. ....

Should I encourage erections to 'fill out' the blood vessels and help them to heal in the correct shape, or let it heal by minimising erections (and therefore sex)?

I also have constant dull-to-moderate pain right at the point of the kink. I'm taking solphadol (paracetamol 500mg / codiene 30mg) to knock it out, but it's been about 6 weeks now and the pain is making me grumpy. I'm already pretty depressed by this.

Because it's straight when hard (and the pain doesn't seem to increase much) I've continued having gentler sex maybe 2 or 3 times a week.
 Is this safe?

I moved your post to "Introduce Yourself" that your question will get more attention.
In my opinion, Pentox will help with the pain and will help also to stop the disease to progress and reverse the symptoms.
Regarding sex, the opinions are split, my opinion is that sex will help to keep your penis healthy, use it or lose it. Be careful not to make more damage.
Some forum members think different.

In my opinion and absolute yes! Just be careful to avoid any further injury.

It should be safe, but my advice is to make sure that you stay hard. Make sure you are fully stimulated, take your time. Having sex fully turned on with a max erection is both good for blood flow but also safer to avoid further injury.

The same goes for masturbation. Make sure you stroke the entire penis, and not just above the curve.

Lastly, regardless of the circumstance I highly recommend you keep your PC muscles relaxed until orgasm.

I am a bit puzzled by the fact that your penis remains straight if you straighten it out yourself! With my Phil (hubby) the curvature was/is permanent, one it got bent it stayed bent as long as he had an erection, no amount of gentle persuasion made any difference!
As for the question of should you encourage erections, I can only give you the advice our tantra therapist gave us: massage it gently with wheatgerm oil (yes you will smell like a wheatabix!) as that is rich in vitamin E, try not to reach orgasm (she taught me the squeeze technique to delay ejaculation, but only apply the pressure to the glans!!) and above all try to remain fatalistic about it, it's happened, it is not a disaster, yes your ego will plummet if you are like my husband, but it will all work out ok.
