Hello.

I have been using traction since late last year and have averaged no less then four hours everyday. Since commencing I have continued to see things get worse. Even before I commenced a series of VI. I could feel the dent across my bed get more noticeable, more deeper. But I continued anyway. Last time I did traction was yesterday and now I am considering stopping. Like I said, I also has a series of five VI starting early February.

I could tell that my condition has not improved and checking my photo log, I can confirm this. It is worse.

If these treatment have not shown improvement in this time, is there a consensus about if it is worse continuing? Obviously I am worries that it will just get worse. Which it still might, and the progression might just be due to natural flow of my peyronie.

At  this stage I am reluctant to continue, and might "wait and see" for three months or so. See what form fait takes. Still on Trental (Pentox) and supplements.

Regards

fetus,

Stick with trental, it will help. Traction has been used safely by many on this forum. If I were to remove something from your treatment regimen it would be VI. I have only read 1 positive account of improvement with VI and I'm not convinced that wasn't due to other factors like spontaneous remission. Injecting the penis with anything is risky.

hi I tried traction as well, one month allready.. and things only got worse...
that's just lame all the people who recommand it think that what worked for some people
works for all. that's a lie... traction is good only for 1/3 of the peyronie's...

I know you are stress, but no one had never stated on this forum that what works for one is working for all.
What many has stated that what works for one is not an indication that will work for all. That's Peyronies

Do  you have proof of that claim?
This is an emotionally destructive condition, we all have it, let's be nice to each other.

I forget to mention that like everything with Peyronies except surgery, traction is also a marathon and not a sprint.
It takes months before some results can acknowledged.
Maybe the stretch you applied was too much? Have to begin with very low stretch.

Hi .
I had finally got a x4lab extender after one year of suffering ( losing my length and girth for at least 30-40 % ) . I used it for two months ( every day approx 6 hrs / day  wd max stretch my penis can afford . I am so happy to use it as I regain my girth and 30 % of the length . I also increase my apetite for sex and my functionality to have a proper intercourse by 100 % . I am amazed wd the result and very sattisfied wd traction devise use .
THE ONLY side affect I had ( I am not using it any more till the moment I figure out the cure for my problem ) is ... the urine drops are coming out while I am walking ( I believe my muscles which use to hold the urine has become weak and thus urine drops frequently comes out like sprinkles ) . . Due to our religious issue urine drops on body prevent us from doing our religious obligations .
Pls somebody guide me if there is some cure or medicine for this side affect .
(;other than this side affect I found the traction device 100 % recommendable for curvature and losing of length etc problem .

Azmaish,
Are you putting the traction device on shortly after urinating? If so, this may be your problem as there will always be a little bit left behind, which is impossible to prevent even without traction.  However, with traction you may be getting the droplets of urine coming out over an extended period of time. Try to wait 5+ minutes after you finish urinating to put the traction device on.

On a religious question, would the traction device be seen as anathema like urine droplets? I know, for me, I had concerns tracking the disease progression to manually get an erection and when I went in for confession my priest said it wasn't a sin if I have a true medical problem which was a major relief for me. Have you checked with you Imam on this and explained that you have a very real medical problem?

Dear John
Thanks for the kind advise , I thought  that the muscles which use to control the urine movement have become stretched ( that was the feeling I got ... my leg  muscles etc  were stretched and kind of lost control on my urine flow ) . I always felt my muscles stretched all the time even when I was not using the traction device .
But still I will act as per your adv and see if the outcome is satisfactory .
Regarding religious point .... yes you are right we have a relaxation if it is a non curable disease . But than one has to really put all his efforts and try each aspect to find the cure . My request to get help was part of that effort my friend  :).
Please see if you can help me in finding some medicine also in this regard .
Kind regards .

Aazmaish,
You really need to see a competent Urologist that deals with Peyronies as a major part of their practice. Here is what has been prescribed for me. In the USA we tend to PA's and NP's see patients first (Physician Assistant and Nurse Practitioner), then the Medical Doctor.  Try at all cost to avoid a PA or NP and get straight to the URO. My first visit was with a PA (female to boot) and she prescribed me Colchicine, which I got terrible bowl problems and stopped after two weeks and Viagra at such a low dose it wouldn't do anything. I saw the URO two days ago and his exact statement about what I was prescribed was: Colchicine is pretty much worthless and the 10 mg Viagra was so low that he wouldn't even give that low a dose to a 20 year old with erectile problems. So, Dr. Dean in Bethesda, MD prescribed Pentox for me and was all about traction, which I had been doing. His statement on traction was it is effective, but most people aren't compliant enough to make it work and it takes 4+ hours a day to be effective. I will be on Pentox for the next 4-5 months and we will reassess at that point. If there is decent progress, I'll continue the course with Pentox. If, however, the progress isn't where we want it to be, we will move on to Xiaflex and traction and I plan to also get him to provide a VED as I believe both will be necessary in the remodeling process with Xiaflex. Dr. Dean also said that I should continue to take the Acytle L Carnitine that I researched myself as it helps with blood flow.

Good luck and don't wait to get to a good URO that specializes in Peyronies,

John

Dear John
I am have tried to contact Dubai andrology institute . They were only interested for a surgery with a cost of 21000 $ . The forum members guided me to refrain from surgery and try medication.
I will look around and try to find some Urologist with some back ground of peronies . Pls adv if I can consult wd some online doctors ? Pls guide
Regards .

Aazimsh,

There is a link to doctors that treat peyronies on the forum.

Here is the link: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/board,37.0.html

I think the closes guy to you is in Turkey, at least on the forum.

Jonbinspain

Aazimsh;

No competent doctor is going to make a diagnosis via telephone or Internet, only by personal appointment.

I would also stay away from Dubai Andrology institute if they are prepared to suggest surgery without even seeing you first.

Whilst surgery was deemed necessary in my case, it was, and always should be the last resort. Each case is different. The important thing is to arm yourself with all available information, ask questions, etc. And then make your decision as to who you feel confident in.

aazmaish

Dear Jonbinspain.
I had an appointment wd the doctor . They had the same reply to me (before and  after consultatiom and check up  ).....surgery is the best option  .
I will look around any other doctor in dubai as my financial means does help me to have a visit abroad .
Thanks

Hi aazmaish, Did any of these doctors diagnose your condition properly using doppler ultrasound?

aazmaish;
I assume it was Dubai Andrology you had your consultation with?  What type of surgery are they proposing?  Why do they believe that surgery is your only option?  It would be interesting to hear why they believe that surgery is your only option. To explain, it was for me, but I had tried everything else first and my curvature was so bad I couldn't function sexually.

Also, how bad is your curvature?  Are you able to function sexually?

As Skunkworks says, have they done an ultrasound to determine the extent of the plaque, if there is calcification, etc..

QuackAttack

aazmaish,

If, as you say, you have the coin to be able to go abroad to seek another opinion, by all means do. If you have are able to maintain an erections and can have intercourse and all a doctor wants to do is slice and dice, go find somebody out of country that specializes in Peyronies.
