Well, this is my first post on the forum, it took me a while to even build up the courage to subscribe to this forum. I've been reading a lot about the disease in the last few years and it seems a part from surgery not much can be done to really correct the issue.

I contracted the disease in my teens after playing with my penis when masturbating, my penis hurt for a couple of weeks and then started to bend downwards. I didn't think much of it at the time since I was so young and didn't really  know that much about the human anatomy. I had just started high school and was probably 12 or 13 years old when it happened.... I'm now 31 years old.

I have an aprox 25 to 30 degree bend downwards, it has gotten better over the years, I remember it being much worse through out my teens. I consulted a urologist many years ago who basically said I would possibly loose sensitivity and length if I went a head with a surgery.

I have a fairly long penis, maybe a little over 7 inches and didn't mind the loss in length, but the possible loss in feeling was a BIG demotivator for me.

My wife today, doesn't seem to mind it, however I still get relapses when it bothers me and I sometimes wish I could just take a pill or have a quick and easy fix where it would get better... I think a 10 to 15% curve would be much better for sexual intercourse.

I've attempted traction therapy for a couple of months, without much improvement, I attempted Vit E, carnitine, PABA,Vit C, Omega 3.... all didn't seem to make much of a difference..... I'm always taking Vit C and Omega 3 daily for general health purpose.

Any way's... this is my introduction to the forum
I'm hoping someone will post a reply that will present me with some options I have considered before.

Welcome to the forum :)
I will start from your sentence:
QuoteMy wife today, doesn't seem to mind it
For me this is the keypoint and I was not bothering myself in the subject.
I was also talking to my wife and ask openly her opinion.
I am proposing you to read the forum boards to get better knowledge.
Surgery is the last resort but many had very good results
Surgery for Peyronie's Disease - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums

Age 71, Peyronies from Jan 2009 following penis fracture during sex. Severe Erectile Dysfunction.
Lost 2" length and a lot of girth. Late start, still VED, Cialis & Pentox helped. Prostate surgery 2014.
Got amazing support on the forum

Stef2, it's never too late to start working on healing from Peyronie's. There are members here who hadn't done anything about it for many years, then started working on it and now are relatively free from the daily worry of it.

Also, supplements and medicines to deal with Peyronie's take time to work. Progress can be slow but unless you are incapable of having sex or maintaining an erection, surgery is a final option. I would kill for a 25-30% bend. My bend is about 75-80% and I have venous leakage so surgery might be an option for me, but even so, I'm gonna give the medicines, supplements, and testosterone treatments a chance to do their thing before I look at surgery.

God bless.

Progress can be slow but unless you are incapable of having sex or maintaining an erection, you should seriously consider any kind of surgical option. .

Why are you recommending surgery to someone brand new to the forum ?  Is this a joke, a typo, or are you that poorly informed ?   For the sake of our new members please stop.
When you are in tune with the unknown, the known is peaceful.

Yeah, typo. Fixed it. That was obvious considering what I said previous to that line and after that. A PM to me would have been more appropriate. Thanks for pointing it out.

I posted on the forum so Stef would not interpret your original post as fact..

Your pattern of sharing inaccurate information, coupled with the unfortunate reality that you post more than any other member, poses a risk to guys who may not yet be aware of your reckless behavior.

Again, you could see that I was online and you could have PM'Erectile Dysfunction me & I would have fixed it right away. I'm not sharing any inaccurate info. Just because you may not understand it or agree does not make it inaccurate. And once again, this could have been PM'Erectile Dysfunction to me as well.
