Hi,

I developed Peyronies Disease 10 years ago after cutting the left side of my shaft with a pair of little metal cuticle scissors.  Now I'm left with an hourglass shaped penis.  I have chronic shaft pain.  I have chronic red and dilated capillaries in the groin, and chronic redness of the groin, anus, inner thighs, and lower abdominals.

I had a Penile Doppler Ultrasound done about 9 months ago which confirmed the curvature, which is slight.

First, my Urologist put me on Potaba 500 mg tabs, 5 tabs daily.  I stopped after 7 days due to the diarrhea and GI issues.
Next, he put me on Col-chicine tabs.  I stopped Col-chicine due to diarrhea, frequent urination, and weakness.
Now, he has me taking 800 IU of Vitamin E daily which is doing nothing.

I will be seeing a Uro at a University Hospital here in NJ very soon.  I read that Pentox is really good so hopefully he'll give me some.  Hopefully I won't have any GI issues with it.
As long as the pain and the red, dilated capillaries go away, I'll feel better.  I could care less about the curvature.

Can red, dilated capillaries of the groin go along with Peyronies Disease?

Thanks.
J

How deeply did you cut into the shaft? Have you been checked for infection? And, yes, Pentox is a critical part of our weapons against Peyronie's. I personally have not heard of anything where you have red, dilated capillaries of the groin but others here might have. Stand by.

No. This would not be related to Peyronies Disease.

My History

DBNO

I recently decided to stop my intake of Pentox. I have been on it for 18 months and have yet to see any positive results whatsoever. There is a lot of hype with the drug and its super cheap. But, in my case my Peyronies Disease has gotten much worse not better.
Early on it was suggested to me to start taking Pentox as it will fight the development of scar tissue which is the dominate factor here. It never stopped the process and development of scar tissue / fibroses.
In fact, I have never heard of any scar tissue ever going away. Scars are for life, its a physiological fact. I've got lots of them and taking Pentox did nothing to rid any of them.
I think there is a lot of wishful thinking in relation to Peyronies Disease / drugs / herbs / erection pumps. Believe me, I've tried them all.
In my short time of having Peyronies Disease I have become absolutely convinced that little can be done and what looks like a difference today, turns out to be just a temporary illusion. That's not to say there isn't a cure just around the corner.
For me, I had to give up bouncing up and down and taking Peyronies Disease too serious.
Through much suffering, I have accepted Peyronies Disease and all the wondrous  pleasures lost because of it. It's just nature. There are many other ill's caused by nature that are much, much worse that Pyronies Disease.
There is hope. Sexual energy is not lost. For me, that energy has shifted form and gotten me to better see the bigger picture and how acceptance has helped me regain my self-esteem. Good luck to all!

DBNO,

I'm sorry pentox didn't work for you. Peyronie's is a complex disease and there is no hard and fast cure.

If pentox didn't work, have you tried low-dose daily Cialis or VED therapy? Are you a candidate for surgery (i.e. severe curvature or ED that cannot be cured by pills?)?

I understand this disease is very frustrating, but you have to keep trying. Good luck and keep fighting.

That's really unfortunate, hold in there, buddy! I hope you will manage to improve the situation. Out of curiosity, how come you cut your penis?
Forever trying
