Can anyone give me the alternate names for Accolate? I am specifically wondering what name it is sold under at River Pharmacy or other online drug stores. I know it's Zafirlukast but that doesn't show up. I remember finding it on River Pharmacy under some name in the past, so I know they carry it (or did), if I could just remember what it was called.

I have discontinued Pentox at the moment because I felt it was causing me problems, and the amount of (largely unconscious) stress that left my body when I did that was stunning. I am doing well off of it; things loosened up a little down there as the stress left and inflammation seems to have stayed gone, but I still have all the damage that has been there. I am going to try a round of Accolate if I am able to buy it online, and I will do that without taking Pentox at the same time and see what happens.

Hello Swolf and thanks for the update with pentox.  I bought my accolate locally, however I do notice that Goldphama.com has it online sold in Spain.  I bought another drug there and they shipped it from Spain, I received it 10 days later no problems. So although not cheap, it is an option.

I will likely stop pentox too, in a month or so due to added stress/ anxiety I do not need !

Yes, that is not cheap, but it is an option I will definitely consider. (and I think you meant to type goldpharma.com, you missed an R) I do remember specifically finding it under a different name at Riverpharmacy.ca because I was considering trying it at the time. I believe I was going off of a statement by George999, but now I don't see it in this thread. You mention earlier in the thread Singulair could be used instead, and that I do see on Riverpharmacy.ca (Montelukast/Montair/Singulair), so maybe this is what I'm thinking of, I'm not entirely sure.

The stress that Pentox brings about is really quite pervasive so I really don't see taking that for long periods of time in my future, though I have a supply and will definitely go on it for a while if I need to quell a bad episode or something. Life is just not very pleasant while on it, and there is a definite stressful medicated feeling. Currently, while not taking it, I feel much better and the physical benefits I've noticed from not being under a cloak of stress are significant, so it's something I had to consider and think about but I just can't continue taking it right now. I'm concentrating on continuing my TCM (chinese medicine) protocols and will add in traction in a few weeks when I finally have enough money for that, and also will be having an appointment with a urologist soon (organized through a free clinic) where I hope to get an x-ray done, if nothing else. So I would love to try Accolate alongside these. I am doing well maintaining my current state but there doesn't seem to be much forward progress, and I really think there needs to be some physical manipulation for that to happen, so I'm traction works for me. Traction + Accolate... it could be good, we'll see.

you are correct I misstyped the URL it should be goldpharma.com

I also plan to focus more energy on alternative treatments once I am off the pentox.   My accupuncturist said although not severe the anxiety is taking a toll on my system and quite possibly slowing the progress of the TCM and ayurvedic treatments I am undergoing.

Also the scar is soft now so my main complaint is now just inflamation/pain. I am hopeful when I stop the pentox, it will stay soft so we can work on the inflammation alone.  Right now my TCM treatments are geared more toward the anxiety, and also my kidneys are being taxed by the drug (although blood test are okay, so they are healthy as far as western medicine is concerned).  Obviously I would like to focus treating the route cause (inflamation) rather than drug side effects.  The pentox effects are not severe in my case, but I also feel over long term at least in my case, say years as opposed to months, the effect could be detrimental to my health.  The temporary rapid heart beat is especially worrisome and usually acts up when I work out.

Having said that I have no regrets, I think it did what I needed it to do, but now it is time move to a new strategy if I want to continue to move forward.

I will update as things change.

Oh lord, there are never any breaks, hahah. I'm still likely to try this as I'm not particularly prone to depression, but I will of course be thoroughly acquainting myself with info before putting any medication in my body.

Yep absolutely, I will almost certainly be trying it myself also but forewarned is forearmed, and if you know it can do that and have some random thoughts in that direction, then you know to stop rather than thinking it is from some other cause.

Any updates on this Accolate treatment? I'm taking the Pentox/Ubiquinol/Arginine cocktail, plus Cialis, and not seeing much improvement.

Accolate seems to be one of the only prescriptions that's widely available and has a clear parallel in treatment of scar tissue. I'm surprised more people haven't tried it, and I'm considering asking my uro for a prescription.

I don't know anything about Accolate, and I have tried everything else myself including Pentox and Ubiquinol, Arginnine, etc..............But, 3 days ago I started a new treatment which is actually working.

You will think I am crazy, but this is showing improvement for my curvature.  I take a Organic, Decaffeinated Green Tea Bag, I get it damp and I place it on the scar tissue which is causing the severe bend I have.  I hold it there for 25 to 30 minutes.  As the Tea Bag starts to get dry, I dip it into some water and return it to its position.  Seriously, this is working.  I will continue this each day.

When I get a dental problem, I place one of these tea bags on my gum which is swollen and hurts, and in 20 minutes the pain and the swollen part is Gone.  So, I figured it is worth trying on my male part...............its cheap and easy, and No Side Effects like Pentox, etc.

Try it...........seriously.

ashtown

Many will say it can't penetrate the skin blah blah, so I'll try to ask a more productive question. How much improvement have you seen since starting with the green tea bags? Also am I correct to assume you are using cold rather than warm water? Rather like my recent improvement with ginger I think these things are far less risky than prescription drugs and worth trying.

You asked how much Improvement have I seen........well, not sure how to measure it, but it put a Smile on my Face.  I do use just cold water with the Tea Bag.  Due to my severe condition, even when it is flaccid (soft) it would only hang to the right because the curvature was to the right (about 90 degrees).........but, now it hangs straight and will even go to the left.............this makes me Smile.

I also started using a VED because I lost a few inches in length.

But, yes give it a try.  People were using Natural Products many years before Drugs were created.  There seems to be a natural remedy for almost everything.......Thank God.

ashtown

Please be careful with the VED. I saw some pretty impressive results myself in a short period and then it all went very badly wrong almost overnight. Without doubt it's the worst thing I've ever done with my Peyronies. Regarding the teabags it sounds like an outside shot but costs nothing really to try.

Thanks, I agree that the VED can get nasty.  But, the Tea Bag thing is cheap and worth a try........

ashtown

Just assuming for a moment that green tea might be a magic remedy I completely get why you'd go for an organic product but I'm curious why you've chosen decaffeinated, since caffeine is a known anti inflammatory.

Delldude,

I took both the accolate and pentox for about 3mo.  Both seemed to help, but but not completely elim the scar.   Finally I ended up using a Gotu kola dried herb with olive oil topically for 6mo.   I just stopped a few weeks ago.   The scar tissue is mostly gone now, and also soft and painless.   I did not  originally have bending (just scarring) but I did suffer horrible pain for 24mo so this is a miracle.   It is quite possible I would have healed without the herb or drugs, but I don't know.  I am glad I took them as side effects were  little in my case, and I was in a very dark place at times during my struggle.   Persist, be patient,  and you too will  prevail !

Good Luck.
