Every night sence I developed Peyronies I get 2 or 3 erections early morning (3-7 am). The disconfort and some painkeeps me awake. Need help with this problem.

N:

Please elaborate a bit more about what you are saying about erections! All of us older guys would be interested in learning some new tricks about getting them and how to make them last long enough for extended sexual activity.

What you mean about developing Pay?

I didn't know this was a  place for fools. I need some information. Thanks for youir concern. I'll look somewhere else. You need to be turned in our attitude.....

Old Man

Pa:

I totally resent the comment about this being a place for fools!  Look at the number of posts that this Old Man has made in this forum over the past 5 or 6 years! I also hold the title of being the Senior Member of the forum.

You must be the only fool to have arrived so far as I know it. So, if you think that this forum will tolerate your attitude, you are sorely mistaken.

So, take your drivel comments elsewhere.

With your experience and age why can't you express it with concern and help solve. I'm not joking about my problem. I'm 68 and am looking for help understanding my problem with peyronies. With numerous painful erections nightly my concern is real and thought this site could help cope.

Old Man

Pa:

OK, now that we can discuss things more civil, I will be glad to help you in any way. I have had Peyronies Disease since the age of 24 (58 years plus) and it has come and gone many times during those 58 plus years. The forum as a whole considers me to be the authority on vacuum erection device (VED) therapy and have over 18 years of experience of VED use.

Now, if you will explain more about what your symptoms are, what you have tried for therapy or correction of them, and anything that would help the forum understand where you are with the symptoms and what we could suggest for helping you. Also, have you consulted with your general practitioner (MD) or a urologist for a diagnosis as to whether or not you have Peyronies Disease, etc?

You must remember that we guys (with the exception of maybe a few) are not doctors, are but just fellows like you that have developed this horrible mess called Peyronies Disease. It disrupts ones entire sexual life and in some cases their marital relations. It casts a devastating blow to ones manhood when he cannot perform due to this disease.

Look forward to hearing back from you with more information as stated above. Then, you will receive as much help as this form can and will be glad to afford you.

PA,

We are here for one reason, to help you with the information and support you need to fight Peyronies Disease.  We will start by assuming your previous unprovoked comments about fools was either some misunderstanding or a release of anger over your condition.  Other than to say we do not tolerate personal attacks here, the subject is dropped.

Your post is so brief it is difficult to know where to begin.  Some of this might be obvious but it is difficult to tell.  For instance, you likely have no more erections than ever but since you may have Peyronies Disease the ones you do have are painful.  The good news is that pain always subsides with Peyronies Disease.  The problem is that it can last a couple months or over a year.  There are several things that have helped others and that have some clinical evidence behind them.  The best approach is to use more than one of these since they treat the problem in different ways.

Plain Ibuprofen usually helps somewhat with the pain and inflammation
ALC helps many but not everyone.
Ubiquinol is an over-the-counter antioxidant
Pentox will not only help the pain but it is the best oral treatment.  The down side is you need a prescription and a doctor that will prescribe it.

All of these are potentially good for not only the pain, but limited studies show that they all have some effect on stopping disease progress in some individuals.

I have had Peyronies for 1 1/2 years. I am 68 and have been to MD and Urologist. The Urologist could not feel scare tissur but penis was curved. No meds given or much discussion. Now my penis has curved in another direction, still has pain. It hurts like a brused on the end of the penis most of the time. Little sex because of curve and pain. I sleep alone because of my wifes health. Every morning between 3 am and getting up I have 2-4 painful erections that keep me from sleeping. No erections sometime even with Vigra. Sex is painful and difficult to penitrate. My main concern are the erection every morning keeping me from a full nights sleep. Are the erection at night normal with Peyronies.

Night time erections (NTE's) are normal several times every night from birth, in every healthy male.  It is natures way of trying to keep penile tissue healthy by supplying blood and oxygen.  If nte's stop it is considered a warning sign of problems.  It may even cause problems such as Peyronies Disease, ED, or wasting (loss of size) of the penis.

I have to think that at your age you have been aware that nte's were common throughout your life.  If you want your best shot at preserving some penis health then you need to attack the pain, not the NTE's.

Pa,  I think the most important thing you need to do is to see a Peyronie's specialist, NOT a general urologist.  Only Peyronie's specialists will provide you complete access to the latest and most effective Peyronie's treatments.  Pain can be attacked succcessfully with Pentoxifylline (an inexpensive prescription drug) and CoQ10 (an expensive supplement available without prescription).  For sure you should start out right away taking 300mg of CoQ10 per day.  You do not need a prescription for that.  Beyond that there is much you can continue to learn from this forum and from its participants.  You are on the right track, I wish you the very best.  - George
