I just turned 21.

My case is rare as my doctor's tell me. I do not have a severe bending, but I have a VERY significant and performance inhibiting plaque at the base of my penis. I also gave it to my self. I masturbated incorrectly for years. I had no idea that I was doing it wrongly. My method consisted of using my index and middle finger to surround the base of the penis and put pressure on it. It felt good so I did it for years. Now I started noticing a deformation in the base. It had gotten smaller and narrowed. I never get morning wood anymore. My erection hangs low and has no strength in the base. The base remains squishy even when I am in a full (best I can get with peyronies anyway). My penis has also shrunk an entire inch from seven to six.

This is literally destroying my life. I was suicidal and pessimistic all the time before but now this disease has made it so bad that I have literally been bed-ridden for over a year when I first discovered it. I lost my job and the crush of my life all because of this stupid disease and I cry a lot now. I just started the John Park method which is sort of like Thatcher's but I have seen no improvement after about two weeks.

I cannot find ONE and I mean ONE success story other than thatchers and John Parks, and for some reason I think they're lying to me, but I don't know.

Please, anyone, advice, succcess stories, anything. I have truly lost mostly everything precious in my life and I am open to anything. I will be on this site like white on rice. I will do anything to cure myself and to hopefully find something that works so I can share with others. Hopefully this site will help me to do that.

I eagerly await anyone's reply. Thank you.

I feel your pain man.    I am 25 and have had peyronies since i was 13.   Before i knew what jacking off was, i would lay on my penis and rub it between my belly and and the bed.   I didn't know what i was doing i was so young but it severely damaged my penis.   I even had surgery at Mayo Clinic when i was 21.   I don't know what to do anymore i am in constant misery 24/7.   My life was taken away from me.

Where there is life there is purpose and where there is purpose there is hope.

I will split these topics so each of you have your own topic.  It will be less confusing.

TYFT, where did you find the "treatment you are using". I can assure you that many men here have had improvement in varying degrees.  These have been the treatments with the most success:
PAV cocktail
VED/Traction

I would use them together and add COQ10, ALC
25mg of trazadone taken at night may help NTE and it is cheaper than dirt.

Follow a healthy life style.  Proper rest. Moderate physical exercise, reduce stress, no smoking etc., Healthy low sugar diet.

Men here have also had successful surgery.  In the worst case scenario there is always a 3 piece implant that will assure you of an erection that lasts as long as you want it.  Even if it has to be replaced in 15 years or so it is a real option.

Hi guys,

I got this at age 29 and it is definitely a heavy blow to get at such a young age. I felt the same way you guys did: like my life was over and I had been robbed of a healthy, normal penis way before my time. It really does hurt.

I was wrong in a certain sense though, to think that my identity as a man and as a sexual person was defined by my penis alone. We are men who are defined by our strength, courage, honor and ability to stand tall no matter what life throws at us. Each of us has the power to improve our overall health right now, which will in turn help forge the mental toughness you need to get through this disease. You can do it.

First, go to a good urologist and get on pentox and cialis. Both of these medications have been proven to shrink scar tissue and prevent inflammation/reduce new scar tissue. Cialis will help with erections which in turn improves blood flow and healing. I was on pentox for 8 months during which time my pain went away completely and in teh years since then I have noticed some significant improvement. I am not cured, but I'm better than I was and I can perform just as well as I did before.

Second, check out this forum on the VED : Vacuum Erection Devices (VEDs) for Peyronie's Disease - PDS - Peyronies Society Forums
The protocol here has been very helpful to many members of the forum.

Third, get out and exercise: go running, go camping, go hiking, go kayaking, climb a goddamn mountain, it doesn't matter what. Push yourself physically. Eat better, get more sleep and keep regular dental and doctor appointments. Make the rest of your body as strong and healthy as possible. A healthy body will go a long way in preventing the inflammation that causes scar tissue in the penis and will also help stop depression. Peyronie's only affects a tiny part of your body and there is a giant world out there to explore and believe it or not, plenty of women who want to be with you regardless of the status of your penis.

One last bit of inspiration: At the 2009 Kentucky Derby a 51-1 longshot horse named Mine that Bird came from last place to win in one of the most stunning upsets in sports history. They asked the jockey what he did to make such a mediocre horse perform so well and he replied, "I just rode him like a good horse."

Just ride it like a good horse.

My mistake. I found the treatment I am using from Sexuallyhealthyman.com which was supposedly put together by John Parks, but I think it was influenced from other sources, still not sure if it was a bad investment. I have 70% DMSO with Nascent Iodine and vitamin e with added coconut oil. I rub this solution at the base directly on the damage, even though the damage if very far back and hard to reach. My Urologist also put me on Pentox and I have found that it helps with blood circulation but it has done nothing else as far as I can tell. I am also taking Aceltyl with Nattokinase and Serrapeptase. I am not sure if I am only worried about getting rid of the scar, because it feels as if the actual tissue has been destroyed. I don't understand it. When I'm flacid it literally feels as if I'm holding a limp banana. As an example the base of my penis is like the stem of a banana, compared to the rest of the shaft which isn't as thick as the banana but is noticeably thicker than the base. Sorry for my run-on sentences, I never get much sleep but I am trying to improve that. I was considering the stretching device but why is the vacuum more preferable? I have heard that the stretching is the safest but it is also incredible expensive and I am going bankrupt. I am afraid to shop for a device because most of them just scream scam at me, and I have already wasted a lot of money on medicine from the doctor (who doesn't seem to really care about my problem).

Thanks. Sorry to hear that you had it at a young age. The worst part of my story is that I had felt pain there and I kept doing the same masturbation technique. I can't believe how stupid I was but it was because I was ignorant and I hate myself for it.

TooYoungForThis

How exactly was your penis damaged? I have done that same thing since I was a kid, but the problem didn't start happening a year ago. Also, what kind of surgery did you get? Why didn't it help, or did it? And I'm sorry man.

TYFT,

First off, your days of having to worry about being scammed are behind you.  This site is run by patients for patients.  We sell nothing and have no investments or connection to anyone that does sell anything Peyronies Disease related.  I have run this site out of my pocket for over 6 years.  If you get an evaluation or recommendation for a course of action here it is the best information a fellow patient can pass along.

Next, My view is that if I were you, I would finish the course of treatment you are on since it is bought and paid for and you will never have to wonder if maybe it wold have worked.  However, when it is gone I would not spend another cent on Nattokinase, Serrapeptase, DMSO, and Nascent Iodine with added coconut oil.  The stuff you are putting on your penis is very suspect without one shred of clinical evidence it does anything for Peyronies Disease.  The Nattokinase and Serrapeptase may have some health benefit but again there is not a shred of clinical evidence or even anecdotal stories on the forum that they help Peyronies Disease.

You want the Pentox, as well as the rest of the PAV cocktail.

A decent traction device probably costs about $200.  Decent single cylinder VED's run from $85.  The 3 cylinder one runs over $300.  If you have a few basic skills you can make a VED (all 3 cylinders) for less than $100.  It does not have to be pretty, just work.  We have instructions here to build one and people that will help along the way.  I have traction and a single cylinder VED.  The VED takes less time commitment and is less of a nuisance but I am part of the minority that thinks that traction is a better approach Especially if you can get natural erections.  I would not hesitate to use both if you decide to do so.

I am much older than you and in my opinion older people get less good results with longer time treatment than young people (I was also young long time ago and still remember ;D).
Read the topic bellow. As you can see is not a sprint, is a marathon, but treatments work. Just two months ago I have written to Hawk a very sad PM that nothing improving and suddenly the improvements begin. :)

Thanks Hawk, as I may or may not have stated, I am on the Pentox already, but I will definitely look into completing that cocktail and adding it to my treatment. The VED also sounds promising. I have a few questions about the traction:

I've heard a lot of horror stories of people losing feeling in their penis. Has this desensitized your penis in any way? When you get erections do you notice permanent restoration or gains in girth/length?

I've also heard that it can make your penis too strechy and spaghetti like and you won't be able to get a full erection. I know these are probably not true since you are using them but I always need reassurance because I'm a massive worrier.

@James1947 That's good to hear and I'm glad you've restored some of your girth back, it gives me hope. Has this gain back been permanent? Also will I achieve a full erection if I use this device? Can it damage my parts in any way?

And thank you for the reply.

I don't know if the gains are permanent, as I wrote I begin treatment very late and I am not so young.
The gains are also just in the last month or so, I am continuing.
Regarding VED, no, is not making any damage if used carefully. Most important thing is not to overpump, if you feel even little uncomfortable when doing VED release the pressure (vacuum). Pump just to a level that don't feel any discomfort.
I am advising the mechanical VED, without the electrical pump because is very easy to lose control of the degree of vacuum.

I am interested where you heard these things about traction.  It definitely has NOT desensitized my penis in the least.  Gains do transfer to erect length and girth.  Depending on how you define permanent, I'm not positive.  I think a man that gets firm regular erections would keep gains.  I am also sure if a man stopped traction and VED completely, and did not get erections, that they would lose size again.  A penis requires erections to maintain health.

Okay I am just worried that the stretcher will not increase base girth or the VED won't either. I'm really trying to research which one to get but it's very difficult. I also can't find a cheap single-cylinder online like you said. Most of them are over five hundred dollars. A source would help immensely as I want to order it asap. Also, do you think that single cylinder or triple cylinder would be better for a base scar? Sorry if I ask too many questions.

Here is a quick link.  I found dozens f links for good VED less than $250 in 5 minutes of searching.  I have never dealt with this company but the models are good medical quality.  Once you see a model ou like type the model in Google and see if you can ind it cheaper.

I personally think the Vacurect (which the sell) is the most innovative VED ever made.  I have had one for 6 years.  I would rate it as out classing every other VED made when it comes to use for sex.  I would rate it slightly lower for strictly Peyronies Disease therapy because rather than a release valve you relieve vacuum just by using your finger to break the seal between the base of the unit and your skin.

Dude (@tooyoungtohavethis) .. I too have am in a very similar situation as you are. I hurt my normal dick through masturbation and then once while having sex.

I was having a fwb ride it. Suddenly, she landed wrong, I heard a snap, and although it didn't hurt, I started having problems like weaker erections, and a non rigid base. We were really high so it's possible that I didn't feel any pain because of that. But I had been noticing a slight concavity on one side close to the base for almost a year before that and used to jerk off at least once a day.

For one, I can't have sex even once a day. If I maintain something like that within weeks my dick seems to need rest => ED, weakness, pain while having sex. And even my thrusts don't feel strong, girls don't react the same way. It's taken a huge toll on my self esteem. I feel really conscious whether I'll be able to satisfy my partner or not and that makes it harder to have a good erection.

Being high while having sex helped obviously, but I felt that I'd developed a dependence on it, so I quit. And I was gonna have drug tests.. so another reason to stop.

I'm hoping there are advances in healing smooth tissue.. cos this thing really depressing. I'm 24 now, and hopefully have a way to go before my sex life gets over, but I just hope it's before I cross the easily dateable age.

Your post is a real work for the moderators to make it more civilised :)

Hey Too young- Sorry to hear you got nailed with this at such an early age. I can only imagine. I'm 62 and it's not easy, so I feel for you.I was pretty healthy and in shape most of my life and then at 59 got hit with prostate cancer.Had it removed and then the side effects started. Incontinence,ED,epididymitis, kidney issues and lastly 8 months ago this cussed peyronies. I use the VED because it's the only way I can get an erection after prostatectomy. I also started using "the John Parks" protocol about two months ago, wearing the device about two to three hours a day, and taking the supplements. I see some improvement in the curve to the right but the banana shape remains. None of us have any choice but "keep marching". I especially like the post from skjadborg. Ive lived a long time and have learned a positive mental attitude is what it takes to lead us to victory. Victor Frankel a renowned psychotherapist who was in a concentration camp said this " Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of human freedoms-to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way" Keep your chin up young man, you will find your way. This is an old thread, but I've found a neurosurgeon who specializes in lowering inflammation systemically.  I am not sure whether he has dealt with patients who also had this disease, however his protocols have allowed me to knock down inflammation such that I no longer feel any pain at all with this disease.

This short podcast with his basic points will change your life forever: 2. Dr. Jack Kruse: Mitochondria, Sunlight & Quantum Biology – Jamie G Ward

Here's his blog, which is very complicated.  You're better to check out his podcasts and member forum: https://www.jackkruse.com/
A google search with his name will yield those things.

Best of Luck.
