General question about VEDs

I've had Peyronies Disease for a few months now and finally started on Cialis and Pentox just over two weeks ago. It's early days but my gut reaction is that it is having a positive effect on the plaque size and erections are getting stronger all the time. Ironically they probably haven't been this strong since I was 20 but I put that down to the combination of meds I am taking including L-Arginine etc.

The one obvious step backwards is that my curvature has clearly worsened in the last couple of weeks from just about zero to roughly 30 degrees upwards and occasionally with a little twist. There is also some clear indentation, though some erections are straighter, which is perplexing but the one thing I've learned about Peyronies Disease is that there is no such thing as normal.

During my last appointment with a urologist I was so happy he was prepared to prescribe the Cialis and Pentox that I totally forgot to ask him about using a VED, so in light of my current state I wanted to ask how exactly could a VED help/hurt my situation? I have regular hard nocturnal erections now so I'm not clear about what a VED will actually do that makes a difference to Peyronies Disease.

Thanks

Do you have curvature when you are completely erect? If so the VED will help with slowly stretching that back.

Yes the angle of curvature seems to vary from one erection to another but it has definitely worsened over the last couple of weeks. Previously the curve seemed to all but disappear as it became erect but now it gets worse. I am also feeling more pain towards the head where I don't normally even feel a plaque. It could actually be that the curvature wasn't showing up before because my erections were only 80% before starting on Cialis and Pentox.

You have given the correct answer to yourself regarding worsening:
QuoteIt could actually be that the curvature wasn't showing up before because my erections were only 80% before starting on Cialis and Pentox.
Non of them (Cialis, Pentox, L-Arginine) will not worsen your situation. You just started on them and it is a good sign that you can have full erection with the combination above ;D

Hi James,
I think this battle with Peyronies Disease is likely to see progress and setbacks at times and we can only do our best to try and improve our chances. Frankly I'm really glad that my penis no longer buckles in the middle during entry though it took a couple weeks of Cialis and Pentox before that change was really obvious.

On a side note there are some other things I believe may have also helped. In error I ordered some AKG Arginine instead of L-Arginine and the AKG version seems to have more kick. It may be too strong for some and I certainly wouldn't exceed the dose you were taking with L-Arginine but everything I've read suggests that AKG is just more effective at boosting the nitric oxide.

I was also finding Amazon expensive for Acetyl L-Cartinine so I found some bulk powder online at one of those stores favoured by body builders that works out quite a bit cheaper but also feels as though it may be more effective than the Swansons capsules I was using before. My reason for believing this is that I'm feeling far more alert and energetic suddenly which is the main reason that many people take Acetyl L-Cartinine. I figure that if I'm seeing those effects it is probably better for the Peyronies as well.

PS I was greatly encouraged by the post in improvements by Mrgnarly who seems to have seen huge improvements after just a few months by hitting this hard. Mrgnarly - Peyronies Society Forums

I hope that the Acetyl L-Carnitine will help me also.
I just begin to take it one week ago after reading some posts by George.
He stated that Pentox, Acetyl L-Carnitine and Cialis are the base for Peyronies improvement.
Myself see improvement from the VED also.

My penis not buckles, but can't achieve more than 80% erection and just for a short time :(

Hi guys...I have the Augusta 3 cylinder VED.  Has anyone with this device ever experienced a loss of negative pressure when trying to manually pump?  So, I have gotten to a point, during using the B cylinder, where my penis stretches to the point of actually touching the pressure device.  No pain or anything...just "growth" over time, I suppose.  WELL...I noticed where some lube had gotten into the little hole that causes the negative pressure...so I took the end of a paper clip and cleaned it out...when squeezing I would hear a noise as if it was wet (hope this all makes sense).  Well, today I noticed that I would pump but get very little-to-none negative pressure.  I'm hoping that I didn't damage the device.  Has anyone else heard of or experienced any negative pressure issues with the device??

Hi all

tee-lee:

I experienced the same problem with my augusta 3 cylinder VED. I noticed a loss of negative pressure and in final i needed to pump continually just to keep the same pressure..... just impossible. The VED was totally hermetic and the only logic explanation was some lube got into this little hole.
I phoned to the company where i bought the VED ( in my case i'm in Europe, it was imedicare based in UK ) and i explained the situation. I used the warranty and one week after, i received a new manual pump. They were very understanding, and no problem it was covered.
As Old Man said, don't hesitate to call or email the company where you bought your VED if you 're under warranty.
