Well, after having a great sex life in my 35 years of marriage, that changed shortly after turning 55...the curvature of my manhood took a drastic bend to the left and continued to increase over time...I went to see a local urologist who had little to say but that it was Peyronies Disease and gave me a pump pamphlet and said to take Vit. E for six months...that was it!  I was so disquested with the whole episode I just went on with life and now, I am ready to resume some type of normal sex life with my wife again!  I still have the ability for a hard erection but with an excess of 45 degree bend and is looking closer to 60 degrees just below my head.  Penetration is almost impossible with the severe bend to left... I told my wife this morning it was time to do something since it has been over 18 months since I first noticed the problem.  I have read post in your forums which have really helped me understand more about my issue. Being from Louisiana, I am going to have to travel for treatment which I am pretty sure it will be surgery...I have decided on Dr. Milam at Vandi unless someone can tell me another doctor with the same reputation closer to Louisiana... I have questions which I will be posting on my upcoming events but I look forward to any comments or suggestions on how to proceed with this episode in my life.

Welcome to the forum.
I hate to say that so many times, your doctor is an incompetent don't want to write down what!
Myself and many on this forum had encountered the same stupid sentense: Take vitamin E and come back after six months.
Regarding VED, he is right, VED is helping to keep a healthy penis and to gain back some length lost to the Peyronies.

Regarding Dr. Milam, he is maybe the best from what I am reading on the forum.
Jackp, our forum member have a blog regarding implant (with Dr. Milam), I am proposing you to read his blog. I hope he will read your post because he can help you also with his connection the Vandi. You may also send him a PM.

Ron F,

Yes, jackp highly reccomends Dr. Milam.  Additionally, you might consider Dr. Chad Ritenour in Atlanta, GA.

Based on your brief description of your condition, surgery may not be necessary.  I imagine a qualified physician such as Dr. Ritenour (my uro), would initially suggest more conservative treatments such as the VED and pentox before prescribing surgery.

Based on my own experience and others shared by forum members, your curve might be reduced and eventually eliminated with VED usage and pentox.

Ron f,

several of us have success stories including myself of overcoming Peyronies Disease. You've taken the first step in deciding to do something about your condition. I'm sure you have read here that there are options, and that there isn't any one thing that will solve everyone's Peyronies Disease problem. But you will find lots of good advice here and those of use who are willing to support and offer suggestions and advice.
