Hi everyone!

So I've only recently been diagnosed as having Peyronie's by Dr. Goldstein in San Diego, although I have had developing symptoms for the past year. I'm 27 years old btw. My symptoms started with extreme pain and soreness around the ridge of my glands and also a varicocele on my left testicle. I have a history of abuse and depression/anxiety and up until a couple of months ago was a virgin.

I went to several urologists prior to seeing Dr. Goldstein all of whom said its all in my head and basically just handed me a prescription for Viagra. Unsatisfied I heard about Dr. Goldstein who after an ultrasound and I believe a thermal testing device, diagnosed me with soft gland syndrome and distal dorsal neurovascular bundle thickening. This neurovascular bundle is also causing a dent right below my glans on the underside and is most likely the cause of the soft head.

Anyway...he injected MUSE into the urethra which did help the glans somewhat however it wasn't pleasent and it's not something I would like to do Everytime I plan on having sex. He also prescribed Viagra and Pre-coital mu-opioid receptor agonists tramadol (25 - 50 mg taken 1 hour before sexual activity).

I am considering seeing Dr. Gelbard who I've heard is a Peyronie's expert.

Anyone have experience with him or with correcting this dent on the underside of the penis?

I will continue to research myself on this wonderful forum,

Thank you for taking the time to read my introduction!

Sorry to read about your problem at your age, but welcome to the forum.

I read not so good opinions on the forum regarding Dr. Goldstein.
Regarding Dr. Gelbard, one opinion is:
QuoteDr. Gelbard is a long known, and well established doctor experienced in Peyronies Disease.  In fact he has had a website about Peyronies Disease for almost a decade.
But I read also no so good opinions about him.

I am proposing you to do a search on the forum for both. Just write Goldstein or Gelbard.

Dr. Tom Lue UCSF Medical Center San Francisco, CA may be a good option if not to far.

Hi James,

Thank you for the reply, I will look into seeing Dr. Lue. I've come across his name quite a bit and I wouldn't mind traveling up to SF if he's the guy to see.
