Hi to all

I'm 25 years old and i come from Italy.
I want to tell you my story. excuse me for my English.

One year ago, i realized the my penis it was curving. i ve never seen it curved until that moment. I sincerely overlooked it, until this year when after a surgery (circumcision), the situation has worsened. The curvature is stable (about 20-25 degrees to the left and downward), but for the 1st time in my life i ve accused erectile dysfunction and my penis seems to be smaller than in the past (above all in width). Tolerable pain.

Last month i go to a serious urologist (i ve tried with another doctor before, but it was not a good idea). I don't know if i can say the name, but he has cooperated with Lue. The doctor palpated my penis but found no plaque, so i did ecodoppler. arteries are clean according to Dr., but there is a fibrotic area on tunica (not plaque,i don't know how i can define it in English).

I'm now being treated with pentox (800mg/day) and cialis (2,5mg/day). I was positively surprised when i read that many users are following a similar treatment. At the moment, after one month, to tell the truth, i ve not seen any improvement. The pain is a little increased. I hope for the future, the next medical visit is in July.

I want to know if for you im doing the correct treatment according to the international standard and if i can do more (i ve read, for example, about vacuum. i can use it? i ve to speak about it with my doctor?). This disease is affecting my psyche and I would not want a part of the deficit is due to psychological factors. I would like to return normal, like one time  :'(

Sorry for getting this disease so young.

I think you find a good uro that giving you the treatment that many of us are following. I was adding Ubiquinol to the treatment, it may help also.
Take in mind that the treatment above is not a sprint, is a marathon, expect improvement after six months or so.

Regarding VED, I am proposing you to read the related board. Many of us are using VED or traction devices that have also a dedicated board, some with good results.
If you will decide to use VED, be aware of the warnings, especially not to overpump.

Your wish to return to normal is the wish of all of us, in your age and in the early stage (acute stage) of the disease the chances are not bad.

Like James i so so sorry that at your age you have to deal with this problem.

I am curious if there is no plague what is causing the pain? and can it be diagnosed as Peyronies Disease?

How bad is that pain and is it during intercourse / erection?

Keep up updated.

@james Thank you. I ve to read a lot about VED.

@reynell I made me the same demand. How it is possible? Doctor says that could be an "anomalous form", to the initial state, even if the curvature is yet visible. He never told me explicitly you have peyronie, but he gave me this treatment (pentox + cialis), so i thing he has diagnosed it as peyronies disease (do you agree?).

Regarding to the pain, is not very bad, i can do sex. I have a strange feeling, as if my penis does not expand 100% and blood creates pressure in some point along the curvature. This pressure causes me pain. Not so, along the curvature, during erection i can see somithing like dents/dimples (it's very difficult for me to explain it in english, i hope that's clear).

This is my condition at the time. If you have other questions, no problem.

reynell

Good to hear back,

As far as you not being able to get your Dr to say you have peyronies. I think hes not sure, and there is nothing wrong with that. I just think he doesn't want to shake your confidence in him.  Give him a chance and give the Rx's a chance since you are able to have sex with out pain. Go with your gut feeling as far as trusting him and his treatments.  That's what I'm going to try to do with mine.

I'm happy that you can function and enjoy life.

Update #1

I ve started with pentox e cialis 2 months ago. I'm observing: better erection (sure 100%), a little curvature improvement (maybe) and increased pain along the curvature during erection. Now, i dont know how to interpret this pain. Is good or not? Maybe is a normal evolution, a consequence of the curvature improvement. What do you thing about it? I ve to go to my urologist next month, for the "routine" examination, after these 3 month of treatment. I hope to give him good news...

What you are writing sounds good to me:
Quotebetter erection (sure 100%), a little curvature improvement (maybe)
Taking in consideration just two months of treatment, seems to me that the treatment is working.

Regarding the pain, my opinion (but I am not a doctor) is that because of the better erections the penis is stretching.

Update #2

No good news, men.

Today I noticed a bruise under the penis that I had never seen (maybe there was, but I had never seen). In this zone i feel pain at the touch, and it is the same zone that does not expand (the left side). I'm desolated, seemed to go better two weeks ago, but now I'm almost sure I can say that this is the worst moment since I am aware of Peyronie. Nothing, I have to wait for the next visit in July, i'm really low in spirits.

I also noticed other things:
- morning erections: When i wake up only the base of penis is "hard", the second half is flaccid (glans too)
- my libido is "six feet under", maybe is connected to my spirits, i dont know.

Do i have to do another blood tests to verify testosterone level??
I ve done it on february, but the general practitioner told me was all ok.
However my urologist has never asked me it.

I'm really confused, i think you can see it... :(

james1947

I will begin from Testosterone test.
First you should get a more clear answer from your GP doctor. When he says OK levels, what he means. Ask the ranges and your result to see where you are.
As it was explained to me, the "free testosterone" is important so you should ask your GP to give you all the information from your test.
Jackp on the forum has big knowledge and experience on the subject.

Regarding your low spirit, the Peyronies changes have up and downs. Any treatment is a marathon and not a sprint so you should fight this low spirit. July is just here, you are under treatment so two or three weeks will not change nothing.
I am sure also your libido is very much affected by the low spirit.
I will say again, you should begin VED also, after the bruising will be gone.

Good night!

What are the ranges (minimum and maximum) of the numbers you have posted?
I understand that:
Testosterone Libero = Free Testosterone
Testosterone Totale = Total Testosterone
But the other tests, I don't know the meanings and also don't understand the units. Maybe you can translate them.
You can check out maybe the link to a testosterone calculator that Luciano have posted:
http://www.issam.ch/freetesto.htm
Maybe Luciano will jump in with the other test meaning and translation (sorry for volunteering you Luciano)

James

I figures out that Testosterone Libero = Free Testosterone
Testosterone Totale = Total Testosterone

Next the lab ranges are all important.

His E2 appears to be normal. TRT will raise his E2 but as Dr. Milam told me the treatment is worse than the higher E2. My E2 is in the high normal range and I have not noticed any difference. I have a friend in Boston that went to Dr. Morgantaler for his E2 and the medication did not help him. The side effects of the medication were worse than the higher E2.
