Firstly i would just like to say I have been lurking these forums for the past 6 months and the advice given here to others has really pushed me to seek help.
I gone through all the phase's denial, depression, rejection and anxiety etc and I'm not looking for sympathy. I am young and i want to take back control in my life.

Backstory:

Ex-Partner noticed 6 months ago that my penis bent upward (from what I can't guesstimate I'd say about a 45 degree bend 1cm below the head). No hour glassing. Can feel a 'chord like' plague when i am erect. From that realisation i researched the net and ended up here after self-diagnosis.

After reading the causes i instantly remembered that at 17 years old i injured my penis mid shaft after a lengthy masturbation session. At the time i thought it was just a burst vessel and was not concerned enough or too embarrassed to seek help (isn't hindsight a bitch). It was painful for about 2 weeks and then it subsided. Fast-forward 1 year i start  what i thought was a normal sexual relationship.

I really cannot remember if it was bent or not during that time (partner never complained, we were both each others first so there is no comparason to draw from) however i had some issues with staying hard. Positions were also limited. After about 3 months of being sexually active i could get and stay hard reliably, so i put it down to stage fright.

I only realised the curve when my ex pointed it out 6 months ago. So potentially I could have had undiagnosed peyronies for 3 years now.

What I've done:

- Started traction 3 months ago - erections a definitely harder and thicker at this point in time - no correction to the curve (which is my main concern)
- Take 3 100 x Coq10 daily and 2000mg l-arginine - don't exactly know if its helping, harder morning erections though for the past 3 months since starting.
- Seen a GP 2 months ago (he had no idea why Peyronies Disease was) and referred me to urologist (personally this is and will be my biggest challenge here in the UK - Good ol' NHS)

Urologist unfortunately cancelled on me 3 weeks ago and Ive been referred elsewhere. I know i am fighting against time, so it is my priority to chase that up this week.

I have a lack of faith regarding the treatment i am going to be probably recommended e.g. Vit E and some cream.

So:
Could someone in the UK pass me relevant details to a specialist in peyronies. I live relatively close to London. My main goal is to get on pentoxifylline for now. I have done a considerable amount of reading into Xiaflex (Xiapex in EU) and without sounding too optimistic i feel it will be a promising treatment for many sufferers.

Best to you all

Sigma,

This thread has some info on male sexual health specialists (andrologists) in the UK: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,1258.0.html

See if you can get a referral from the GP you went to.

It sounds like you are now in the stable phase of the disease since the injury occurred long ago. Some treatments might not be as effective since you are no longer in the active phase of the disease. Still, pentoxyfylline has been shown to reduce scar tissue size and even resolve calcified plaques in some cases. Good luck.

Your erection problems could still likely have been "stage fright". Peyronies doesn't necessarily cause ED. In fact it is difficult to separate physical ED problems from mental "stage fright and worry" problems.

In any case you should get it checked out and and Skjald has already pointed you in the right direction with the link he posted. You are also doing the right thing in being proactive with your treatment.

Thanks for the link Skjaldborg, looking into it now.

What sort of treatments wouldn't be effective in the stable phase btw?
Ive read that Pentoxifylline is benefitial even in the stable phase (like you imply) although i realise it is definitely something i should have taken sooner than later. Regarding if i have a calcified plaque this is something i wont know until i see the urologist ofcourse.
Also i have read if a plaque calcifies its basicially a no-go for xiaflex, so yeah pentox is my priority.

In regards to my personal plan i am going to furfil 6 months of traction and then take it from there. If there is no correction then i will move to the VED.

@lwillisjr
I thought as much really in regards to the ED. Took me a while to get over it however i seem to now have issues maintaining an erection which i feel is linked to peyronies.

This forum is a god send.
