Machine Buyback from Dr. Carroll

I received a letter today from Dr. Carroll from Maitland, Florida.  I had bought an Iontophoresis machine from him 6 years ago to deliver verapamil using iontophoresis.  Apparently he is willing to buyback the machines if they are in good working condition for $100 so he can lease them to other patients who can't afford to buy one since they aren't covered by insurance.  Now I believe I paid hundreds for mine, but since I tried the treatment and it didn't work 6 years ago, my machine and left over medicine has been sitting in my room.  I called his assistant today and have shipped my machine back with signature confirmation via the postal service.  Has anyone else received this buyback letter?  If you haven't I wanted to make people aware and also find out if anyone has done this.  I don't know if he will buyback other Iontophoresis machines that one didn't buy from him.  If anyone else has heard anything on this please post.
