:'( Please read I need your help  :'(
I was diagnosed at 11 years old, I am now 23....
The story is important so please read it, the questions are bolded to help you pin-point them at the end and help me out.

When I was born the doctor circumsized me wrong, he accidently left tiny stands of foreskin and one long piece that long reattached at in the middle on the left side of my penis. When I was old enough to realize that wasn't normal, I learned that having a dramatic bend wasn't normal either. I than went to the doctors and than was diagnosed with Peyronies Disease. After that I had the skin foreskin removed (leaving really nasty scars) and the bend still remained the same.

Wait it gets worse..
I am very christian and I didn't want to have intercourse with this one girl when I was fourteen, but I still wanted to mess around. So basically I just pressed my erect penis against her hard while she was wearing pants (I know it sounds dumb, but when your a horny kid you do weird things). She was on top, and all I felt was slight discomfort. That's all. The discomfort on my penis was near the pelvic bone, on the middle left side of my penis (where the bend is). Days later I noticed the bend got so bad that recieving blow jobs was difficult and at time masterbating could be tricky. So therefore, I was even more imbarassed and I stopped showing me penis entirely...

Until I was 19 and I met this girl and I had for the first time. I premature ejaculated almost instantly, and I had a problem with this for three years and she eventually cheated on me (hell maybe even more than a couple times). I know it peyronies disease can cause PE by mental anguish, but what I want to know is if peyronies disease cause this physically. Please if someone can answer this it will be very helpful for me. The peyronies also effected sex because it made it almost impossible to penetrate the vagina without bending occuring. Eventually the bend worsened to the point where penetration is impossible without my penis trying to fold in half. Also getting erect without touching me penis for some reason is impossible, I don't know how normal that is, if you don't mind telling me, does the disease effect you in this way as well? Worst of all, I keep losing erections CONSTANTLY.

One thing I would like to point out is I have really bad OCD and there is a possiblity that it may be actually be disorganized schizophrenia. I have like 100 reasons to believe I have this disorder but I also have all the dysfunctional sexual problems that are associated with it. Such as loss of all sexual desire, keeping erections, and INSANELY BAD premature ejaculation. All this started suddenly out of nowhere when I was 15 years old, thats usually when the onset of Schizophrenia starts in most people. So if you guys know if peyronies disease could be causing these problems or if it may be the other problem that would be emmensely helpful. I have no insurance at all, so going to a doctor for any of my situations is impossible.

So after that relationship, my penis was a wreck. It was so bad that I couldn't even recieve blowjobs. The little sex we had somehow ruined my penis. So after a year I finally got the courage to date again, I thought to myself whats the worst that can happen right? So I met this one girl, same sexual problems as mentioned before with the trouble getting erect, the great deal of pain caused by the bending that was occuring during intercourse, sudden loss of erections, and the premature ejaculation. All this happened in like 15 seconds flat of having sex. Well I fell for her after a couple months and we started dating for a while and.. Well, what do you think happened? She cheated on me...

So I did the dumbest thing humanly possible. One night when I was masterbating I took my erect penis with my thumbs, and bent that F~@
I decided to straighten it, at this point in my life I know my penis was screwed anyways as I can't have intercourse, I might as well I thought. I had to force it and it wasn't as hard to straighten out as it was the first time so I didn't feel that bad.. until, sharp pains in my penis occured days after. I didn't even feel this when I initially got the disease... My heart dropped to my stomach.. And sure enough, there was another week without masterbation and straightening and it came back once more for a vengeance. So I am just letting it heal, is this a good idea? I am also taking vitamin E and vitamin C now. So as you can imagine, it's getting worse and worse. Do you guys think I should let it do it's thing and heal or do you think I should keep manually straightening it when I have erections.. Probably let it heal right? As it is seeming to affect me the disease tremendiously when I am not straightening it everyday apon erections. As a defense for what I did, I did it to find the location of the scars, I know that sounds weird, but my penis was/is so bent it's hard to tell where the scars were coming from. So straightening it out helped me see where the penis was becoming straight at, therefore pin pointing the scars actual location. To be quit honest, I still don't know EXACTLY where my scars are.. More on that below.

For some reason my erection lay flat on my stomach, it is very painful and harmful (to the scar tissue) to pull it away from my stomach in the slightest bit. It's crazy, it's like my penis bends STRAIGHT up as soon as it comes out of me. So I am guessing that one of the scar tissues is very close to my pelvic bone (middle-leftish). My question about that specific scar is, does having a scar here make it impossible for surgery? Because I know they pull back the penis skin, and I fear the skin of the penis doesn't pull back all the way to the pelvic bone making it impossible for the doctors to reach it. Does anyone have a scar similar, and how has it affected you during surgery? I have to say that is one the worst scars I have by far. Another one I have is on the top middle of my penis, it's feels like a hard rubbery ball, but the bend doesn't seem that bad there although there is one, it's weird it has the most noticable scar. Does anyone know why the hard rubbery ball scar doesn't do as much damage as the other less noticable scars? Is it possible that the ball is not even peyronies? The other scar I have is a little left to the rubbery ball like scar, this scar is a thin cord like scar that starts at the beginning and it stops a little short to the head. And than there is a scar that I swear feels like a dent, this ones a little left of the cord like scar, and its in the position where it causes a major crooked bend to my penis and this bend is the bend that always causes tremendious pain.

I want to make my situation as clear as possible so I developed this picture on paint. Remember, this is a 2-D image so only one demension of bends can be seen, so imagination is still required.

i1062.photobucket.com/albums/t494/articles4masses/Dannyspeyroniesfullyexplained.jpg

So here are my other questions.. (PLEASE ANSWER THE QUESTIONS ALREADY PREVIOUSLY ASKED, THEY ARE BOLDED)

Is it bad to get surgery now or should I let it heal first?
What do you recommend I do at this point? Any treatment ideas?
Has anyone had a similar thing they did as far as manually bending, how did it turn out for  you?
Should I get graft surgery or penile implant (I lose erections quickly, and I have horribly bad premature ejaculation, and I want some length restored) but remember I can still get erections.
The left side of my penis is soo short and my right side is unaffected. Is there no way to ever restore normal erection activity to my left side of my penis or is that permanent lost length?
HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THERE PENIS BEING PULLED TIGHTLY TO THERE STOMACH?

As you guys can tell I've had a lot of experience myself. But after over ten years, I am still asking questions. If you guys can help me with any and all my questions, that would be WAAAAY BEYOND appreciated. I am now going to be a active member, and when I am searching the forums and I can aid you guys in any way I certainly will!

GS

Wow!  You have certainly brought up a lot of questions.  The only one I can answer is that you definitely need to let your penis heal.  There are a lot of men on this forum a lot more informed than me and I'm sure you will get a lot of responses and some direction for the future.

Hang in there and be patient.  Most of all, don't do yourself any more harm.  You can't help your Peyronies by "force".

GS

james1947

A lot of questions indeed but I will try to answer from my own experience to some of them.
In addition, invest time and begin to read the topics on the forum, you will understand more your situation.

First, not answer, just a strong advice. You are young and all the life in front of you so GET A HEALTH INSURANCE as soon as possible, not just for the Peyronie's even if it will eat a big part of your income. Don't tell them you have Peyronie's, they will not ask in any case. Myself living far from my country, don't have health insurance and in my age (64) is very bad.

Regarding PE, I don't know if Peyronie's affecting that mentally or physically but in my case it definitely made some PE. I learned how to overcome the problem, partially, in the past I was able to ejaculate whenever I wanted.

The Peyronie's affected my arousal and yes, can't get an erection without physical touch. I am on pentox just one month and I see that I begin to have sometimes erection without physical touch for a short time.

Regarding schizophrenia (I don't know what OCD is, I never learned English so I have some gaps) you must see a doctor. Back to GET A HEALTH INSURANCE as soon as possible because you will need that during your life many times.

Don't continue to try to strengthen your penis by power!!! You are making more damage than help and you see that already. After your penis will heal have many things you can do to try to help yourself.

Regarding surgery, you can be shore the doctor can get to your pelvic bone. He will find the way.

Regarding the scars you are talking about, I do have one down close to the bottom of the penis that make me a strong bent to the left and one like cord from the bottom to the head that make my penis shape as a banana.

Surgery after heal for shore.

After you penis will heal, try Pentox, L-Arginine and Cialis (or Viagra). Have many posts in the subject

Before deciding on the kind of surgery or implant you should see a good doctor and read this forum regarding surgeries/implants. Just today Luciano had posted a link to an article regarding a surgery that restores length,

In my case, my penis also pulled to the stomach

Again, invest time and read the treads on the forum!!!
Best wishes

LifeSucks,

Wow. That's quite a report.  I am new and don't know much yet, so I will leave your questions to the pros on this forum.  Welcome here.  Just reading your account of trying to put yourself back into shape made me hurt.  Go easy on yourself, and don't give up hope.

Well I think there are many problems, some are related, some not.
first I think that OCD has nothing to do with Peyronies Disease. (I assume here that OCD is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. All depends how bad it is. I read about people washing and scrubbing their hands until they were sore. So you never know what you did mechanically to your Penis.)

Is it bad to get surgery now or should I let it heal first?
You do NOT get surgery like that. Even if you say you want surgery now, it will take months before you get everything sorted out, before you find the right doctor etc.. etc..
So anyway you will have to heal. The thing is: Let it heal and do not bend it anymore until you get bruises.

What do you recommend I do at this point? Any treatment ideas?
I would recommend you go and see a specialized doctor first.
What you can do is take medication that will do you no harm.
I would recommend you use a VED (there are lots of threads about usage around) but in your case make sure OCD does not interfere. Because if you overpump it can cause more damage (like bending)
(Here again I assume of course that OCD is Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. So you could result in pumping up for hours... that would be very bad)

Has anyone had a similar thing they did as far as manually bending, how did it turn out for  you?
No.

Should I get graft surgery or penile implant (I lose erections quickly, and I have horribly bad premature ejaculation, and I want some length restored) but remember I can still get erections.
Well either, but I think this question should be asked once you found a doctor and after what he suggested.
Be aware the PE can be treated separately. I heard there is also medication for it (I do not know what it is called)

The left side of my penis is soo short and my right side is unaffected. Is there no way to ever restore normal erection activity to my left side of my penis or is that permanent lost length?
Well that is because scar tissue has formed on the left. There are very little chances that it will change. If you get surgery one day, very probably the doc will do incisions on the left side and cover them with graft.

HAS ANYONE EXPERIENCED THERE PENIS BEING PULLED TIGHTLY TO THERE STOMACH?

This retraction of the penis happens. that can come from different things. (scar tissue at the base, or something inside)
so my first suggestion would be:
GO AND SEE AN UROLOGIST!!!!
even if he is not a peyronies specialist, he will have ideas on PE and the "pulling to your stomach".
And DO NOT use force on your Penis!

Those are my ideas

One of my main questions is.. Should I wait for surgery until my penis stabilizes. It's getting much much worse everyday!

And when I do go for surgery, is it easy for the doctors to see the scar tissue? Or is it easy for them to miss it? I am not entirely sure where the scar tissue is, its all speculation on my end. I am afraid of going to surgery and missing it! I am especially worried about them missing the scar tissue at the base of my penis (near the pelvic bone).

Also my main problem is the my penis can't penetrate because it's not sturdy. I try to penetrate, even my hand, and it bends in half. Does anyone else have this problem.

If your reading this and haven't read my original post, I suggest reading it. I have a severe bend at the base of my penis that causes my penis to lock on to my stomach. I can't pull it off my stomach without injury.

james1947

I read all your posts, also answered and read Luciano answer also.
Personally I don't think a doctor will proceed to surgery before your penis stabilizes. I don't understand why you are not consulting a uro. He may help you to understand things better.
Regarding doctors to see the scar tissues, my doctor made me an ultrasound in flaccid position and so all the scars except one. I had told him to concentrate in the area and he find it.
To my knowledge from what I have read on the forum (I didn't had any penis surgery yet) during surgery the doctor is inducing an erection to see the scar tissues and work on them. I was not worry that the doctor will miss the scar's tissues if it is experienced with Peyronie's.
Again, I am strongly supporting Luciano statement:
QuoteI would recommend you go and see a specialized doctor first.
We are not doctors and can't evaluate your situation. Just can help with guiding and morale support.

I been to 4 uros going on 5. I was also diagnosed with it when I was 11 years old by one doctor, and over the years I forgot his name because he made surgery seem too harsh. The second one said there was nothing wrong. And I swear to god he must of been high or something because the bend was so back it was completely lopsided. My penis goes straight up as soon as it petrudes out of my pevic bone so he thought I just had a really healthy and bent erection. The angles were quite huge so it was obvious he didn't know what the hell he was talking about, I also have more than one curve (see picture of example). I was 22 at the time seeing him and he was saying I didn't have it so knowing he was a complete idiot I went to another uro. The next said I have a very advanced case of peyronies. And said I needed surgery but he was nervious about it, and said he only wanted to the nesbit and that he has never done the surgery before, so I went to the fourth uro and he said I needed surgery from one of the best peyronies surgeons in the world..

But it would have to be out of state and I have no insurance. I am wondering what I should do in this position.

So it brings me to the question again, is it POSSIBLE to have scar accumulated on the penis in the pelvic area? I do have a scar on the left middle of my penis and maybe my erection (and since I am young it's healthy and very up) plus that scar causes the erection to sit on top of my stomach EXTREMELY BAD... BUT I honestly believe the scar tissue inside the pelvic area! Can doctors operate on this if it's true, has there ever been a case reported on here of the same thing? I don't know if I can be helped! The doctor I am currently seeing is wanting me to go to my 5th uro! No one has answers, I don't know if I should wait because I swear my penis doesn't even want to heal anymore and it's constantly breaking and being extremely unsturdy! THATS WHY I AM HERE! And as far as locating the scars, I only had one doctor look, and he used these handheld things that fit onto his knuckles covered in gel and looked for them that way and I don't know if that is normal. But he didn't find any scars! But the BENDS ARE HUGE. He also didn't even look very long! The medical industry nowadays is a joke! The reason I am wondering about the scars being in the pelvic area is because I want to be able to tell the doctor when he found them all, THI IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. Currently, my penis is so bent it's impossible to where a bend starts and one ends, and yes I read articles on how to find them. I feel like my entire penis has a scar on it at this point as it's always very hard to the touch when it's flacid, it's really weird. But like I said, as soon as my penis comes out of my waist it EMEDIATELY starts to lay on my stomach, matter of fact, it's like it starts to go up towards my stomach before it even pertrudes out of me! Main concern, is I want to know if the scar tissue being on my unexposed penis thats under my pelvic bone, has this ever been reported?!

If you will tell us where you are living (don't need exact location) maybe some on the forum can advise you a good Peyronie's expert.
You can also invest time and try to find yourself by reading the relevant board regarding doctors. I suppose if you will see a good Peyronie's specialist you will get answers for everything you want.

Just a note... slow down and remain calm.  Take it one Dr at a time.  I know its frustrating and scary I've done a lot of research.  I now that most Dr's i have talked to said that one you have to be stab, unable to penetrate and have allot of scarring. and must have tried all alternative prior to surg. I have several of you symptoms like i can have erections.  But i am going to wait and see a surgeon next week.  Just remember stay calm and you might consider getting on some chill pills from your PCP till you get some answers.  We are going through some difficult time emotionally and physically. Evertime i go to the restroom i almost pass out the pain is so bad.  I understand what you are going through. Hang in there !  Reynell

What I found in Arizona:

Scottsdale (Phoenix), Arizona - Desiderio Avila, Jr. MD. He is treating Peyronie's as many on the forum are doing.
Bellow an opinion about him:
QuoteHe has an interest in Peyronies Disease and is aware of this site. He confirmed the diagnosis and the supplements being taken (ubiquinol, l-arginine, acetyl l carnitine and E) and gave me a prescription for trental (400 mg x 3) and 5 mg cialis daily for NE. He also suggested a vaccum pump 3 times a week. He was easy to talk to and careful, but thorough in his examination.

You may search the list for other location that are maybe closer to you but not in Arizona:

PLEASE READ
Okay. I have no insurance. Does anyone have any tips or advice about this? I am THINKING about going to a business called Pre-Existing Condition Insurance. They cost 200 dollars a month, 1,000 dollars deductable, and 20% of the cost of everything. But, the positive side is I can go out of state if I decide to go with them. Does anyone think this would be a good idea? If so, whos the best person in the United States for grafting, someone with a lot of success stories (if there are ever any)

I will think about going to the guy in Scottsdale. Does he do surgery? And is he experienced at it, and does anybody have any success stories from surgery with him?

As far as my current state. I've had this since I was 11. The situation is looking pretty grim. I would like if someone can tell me if they experience the same thing as me or if tell me if this is normal for peyronies or if it's gotten really really bad. I am kind of looking for someone to tell me the outcome of all this. My left side is extremely short and has a major bend but it's hard to feel the scar tissue, where the bend is makes my penis crooked. So it's very easy to injure my penis on two sides. Like I said, my left side is really really weak and pretty much useless and my right side is the only side that becomes erect. When I have sex, my left side of my penis folds over, bends, and tries to snap during intercourse while the right side does all the work. Because my right side does all the work it has recently took a injury and I know more scar tissue will develope on that side.

The two problems I am experiencing aside from the pain not being able to penetrate because of sturdyness are erectile problems and premature ejaculation.
When my penis goes inside, it straightens out, causes pain, my erection dies off, and I am than having intercourse with a soft penis causing permanent painful damage, so I naturally ejaculate to stop the anxiety it causes. Like flight or flight. My penis and body knows I am going to get injured.

It's not that my penis is too bent for intercourse, as it does straighten out (I do lose erections from this however), but it's just not STURDY at all! My left side is useless for penetration, it's like I am trying to have sex with a boomerang that bends insteads of penetrates. And I get injured because of this. Can anyone relate to this? Or am I at a advance stage or peyronies right now?

My other question is, has anyone went through the same thing or something similar and went through surgery and actually had SUCCESS?
My penis is not strong on the left side AT ALL, it's also really short and creates no support for penetration, will surgery create length on that side that will also create the necassary sturdyness I need to penetrate? Like I said my right side is fine besides the recent injury.

Are there success stories regarding surgeries..... yes. Are there success stories based on your specific symptoms.... don't know.

If your problem is one of rigidity, then I'm not sure grafting surgery is the correct recommendation for you. You might be better served with an implant. I would encourage you to talk to jackp regarding any questions or concerns related to implants.

Life Sucks

I agree with Les grafting will not help you. Your best option is a penile implant. For the shortening you need the AMS 700 LGX. A good graphic is at www.amslgx.com

You also need a great doctor that has lots of experience with this. There are a couple in California and the rest are in the southeast part of the US. Out of pocket without insurance can exceed $20,000.00. The option to buy the insurance you talk about needs careful consideration and what it may exclude.

If you are not on the VED protocol start ASAP. You need to be on it at least 60 days before surgery. That will help keep your penis healthy and you will have a better outcome.

I have more I can forward you it you will send me an email. jwp104@att.net.

Any thing I can do to help let me know.

If its one thing i have figured out is this condition is very different for everyone.  I have been looking and looking for someone with a condition just like mine and i cant find anything even close to it even of other photo sites not a one like me. This is one diese (dont like that word) that doesnt read the medical journals.

Its the not knowing and waiting that is getting to me. My only fear is that i will have seen all these Dr's, spent all this money and time and travel for 6 hours to hear him say "well lets give it more time and try this."  But others experienced patients on this sight has said that I'm long past anything else but surg.

I have been taking one thing from this post and another thing from that post and along with what i learn about the condition i hypothesize about what is in store for me. Later guy

I agree with you that YES, the condition is different for everyone. The horrible deformities I have I don't find second to them in any picture and drawing I have seen. Banana bend up, dent left (and bend left) close to the base, right side and bottom hourglassing at the middle of the shaft that twisting it in a strange shape.

I understand your pessimistic mood, it was mine also before I have decided what is the path I will go and it was a long three years.
But ones I have tacked the decision what is the way I will deal with this horrible disease and I read everything I just was able to find on the subject, my mood changed to very optimistic.

As LifeSucks I don't have insurance so I have to put cent by cent to have the amount for the implant I am planning to make with Dr. Milam because from what I read he is maybe the best, not just in the US.
In the mean time I am making everything possible regarding treatments to prepare myself for the best outcome of the implant.

Here are my current concerns. (ALL OF THESE ARE IMPORTANT)

Is this insurance most likely my best option?
$1000 dollar deposit, $200 dollars a month, I have to cover 20% costs. There are no exclusions and I can go out of state. Does anyone have any better recommendations? I make minimum wage part time ><

Wouldn't I need grafting to get rid of the bend anyway before a implant is placed? Or is the area that carries the scar removed for the implant and therefore not required?

Does grafting make the area where the scar was make it lean during penertration or weak or is it tough tissue that remains sturdy as if it were erect?

I am still considering grafting surgery. Who in the United States is good at this? Does anyone have success stories with grafting, and who did you go to? What doctor that somebody has visited here has recieved high praise for grafting?

Is VED recommended regardless of surgery? Is it something I should be doing no matter what? If I am still considering grafting first should I use it? What product do you recommend? And is there an instruction guide how to use it effectively for Peyronies?

I keep losing erection and premature ejaculating because I have a huge fear of injuring myself. And when I lose erection I can't feel it! And not having an erection causes me to injure myself more and I never know when it's going to happen until its to late so the anxiety is always increasing therefore making erections worse! I was thinking, maybe if I had a little help from Viagra it would stop my GIANT premature ejaculation problem and keep an erection safe enough for satisfactory sex. Could this be a better alternative to both surgeries? Yes I know I would have to be extremely careful during intercourse if I attempted this. But it sounds like a better option than what I have been doing my whole life! (injuring myself because of not being erect, and losing eretions because of anxiety)
But heres my concerns with this option.
After sex I have little bit of tenderness in my bent areas. I don't know if this is caused by my penis straightening out during intercourse, or if it's because I bend from loss of erection. I hope it's only the erection issue as this may be able to get fixed through viagra.

The reason I am not 100% certain on a penile implant is because my right side still has healthy erections. It's just my left side is not very supportive right now for penetrating, but I might have been exagerating when I said it was "useless" as it does still gain an erection though it's weak. But maybe it's not as weak or short as I think, maybe it's the leaning/caving instead of penetrating caused by the bend that makes me percieve the left-side erection as weak. I am still thinking grafting would be my best option combined with Viagra for my left side if still needed.

I will try to answer to your questions from my knowledge, most accumulated by reading this forum.

As I understand you don't need to make a grafting surgery before an implant. The doctor will make the necessary to straiten the penis during the implant surgery. Have more experts than me in the subject, you may read Jackp blog, very detailed. I had also many questions regarding surgery for Peyronie's and implant and I get answers for all my questions.

VED is recommended regardless the surgery because is keeping the penis healthy by inducing blood flow and if you have lost length from the Peyronie's you may gain back some, it helps to have good outcome from the implant.
Regarding the VED itself, you have a lot of information on the VED board regarding the different products, the usage protocols, the usage warnings that the no.1 is not to overpump. Old Man is the no.1 expert in VED usage in this forum, I am sure he will be happy to help with any question.

Regarding all your ED problems, I encounter them also, this is the reason I will make the implant. Its like a closed loop:
erection lose > anxiety > more erection lose > premature ejaculation > more anxiety and so on.
Viagra helped me a lot but with the time is helping less and less. Each one react a bit different to this drug, you may try Cialis or Levitra if Viagra is not helping. I am now on low dose daily Cialis and somehow it helps. Not too much also.
If you will try Viagra for intercourse, I think you will see yourself how much is helping or not

Regarding grafting, I don't have experience in the subject but my opinion (I may be wrong) it will not help with the erection itself. Have many surgery related posts on the Surgeries board. I read people posts that the incision or excision with grafting surgery helped.

Wish you will begin to try some treatment, you may find what is helping and what not.

James

Here are my current concerns. (ALL OF THESE ARE IMPORTANT)

Does grafting make the area where the scar was make it lean during penetration or weak or is it tough tissue that remains sturdy as if it were erect?

I am still considering grafting surgery. Who in the United States is good at this? Does anyone have success stories with grafting, and who did you go to? What doctor that somebody has visited here has received high praise for grafting?

I can speak to a couple of your concerns. I had excision and grafting surgery in 2008. It was very successful and I'm pleased with the outcome. I can hardly (if at all) feel where the graft was done. The tissue used is tough just like the Tunica and is not lean or create a weak spot. In my case the doctor use pericardial tissue. I've read where other doctors use a synthetic material. My doctor was Dr. Levine at Rush University in Chicago and I think he is the best for this type of surgery.

lwillisjr, would you say it restored sturdyness lost? Does it make it easier to penetrate with the side that recieved the surgery?? Or did you never have an issue with the inflicted side as far as "caving in"?
And how much did the surgery cost?

JackP, I am going to start the VED treatment when I can afford the pump out of pocket. I don't know when this will happen because I make minimum wage and only part time. But like I stated before, I do not have INSURANCE, and I don't know if I can afford the medication you are supposed to take with the VED treatment. Most likely I can't. Will using the pump 10 minutes a day twice still be effective?
Is there a way I can purchase the needed medication CHEAPLY without insurance and a perscription?
Also I need Cialis or Viagra, is there a way to get this without perscription cheaply as well?

Or does anybody know how to get cheap health insurance? I live in Arizona, and Medicare will no longer cover me because my son doesn't live with me. I fear I am never going to aid my condition because I simply can't afford it ><

Most health insurance companies I called want to charge me 7k a year for a simple cruddy plan, that's pretty much what I make in a year!
I found that one plan however that is $150 a month. 1,000 dollar deductable, and I would only have to cover 20% of the costs of everything.. Thats the BEST I can find.
I may do that for the surgery, however, there is no way I can afford it afterwards. Meaning I will have to cancel right away, and won't be able to get Viagra or any help before or after the initial surgery.

Jackp, I was also wondering if I should rush into surgery now? Without doing the VED treatment. As I am sexually active and waiting another 6 months may be dangerious, as my chance of injury without Viagra is HIGH. What do you think?

1. My "inflicted" area was mid shaft on top. My curve was upwards. I never felt any lack of sturdiness. It was the 70 degree upward bend that made penetration difficult.

2. I think it is always hard to compare hospital charges. I never know what to believe. Statements from the hospital totaled up to $30k. Insurance knocked that down to $20k for agreed customary charges. And Insurance covered it all but about $2k that I paid out of pocket.

3. There are places on the internet that you can buy Viagra and Cialis without a prescription.

Okay I see our bends are obviously in different spots. Did your big bend ever cave (tries to lean in the direction its trying to bend) in on the inflicted side. And if so, did surgery fix that problem?

Did you lose length after the surgery or gain length in the areas where the scars are replaced when grafted?

The thing with me is my penis is VERY short where the scar is, I am wondering if the sturdyness and length will be restored where the scar tissue is. Because of it's not I am afraid my penis will still not be able to penetrate as the left side will be too short and will still have a bend just based on the shortness of the one side of my penis alone. Nobody else knows the answer to the question. As you actually had the surgery I figure I'd ask someone who knows first hand, I would like to know as much as possible. Its a big comfort knowing your grafting surgery went well, its the only thing right now that gives me any hope.

ONCE AGAIN THANKS GUYS! JAMES, YOUR AWESOME.

LWillisjr

You are asking some good questions, but I'm not sure I or anyone has the answers. As everyone's case is different you should be very careful to take one persons answers and assume that this will apply to you. I have spoken to men who have not lost length due to surgery, but I have also spoken to men who did lose surgery. I think a lot has to do with doctor, technique, etc.

I can tell you that before Peyronies hit me, I was 15 cm in length when erect. When I developed Peyronies, it was difficult to measure my exact length due to the curve. I measured myself several months after the surgery and was down to 13 cm. And after a few months of traction I gained a cm back. So today I am at 14 which is still 1 cm short of where I started (15 cm). I can't say if I lost due to the Peyronies, or due to the surgery, or a combination of the two. It is possible I could gain the last cm back if I kept on the traction, but I got tired of wearing the device. And my wife and I quickly adapted to my new length. It bothered me mentally for awhile just because I knew I was a little shorter. But it didn't affect our ability for sex and didn't bother my wife at all.

I know that Levine closely monitors stretched flaccid length. This might possibly give you and idea of what your length would be post surgery. This sort of takes into account for the areas where your tunica doesn't stretch due to plaque or scarring.

Viagra 100mg (for daily usage cutting to 8 pcs) https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/viagra the 100mg is the cheapest one.
Cialis 20mg (for daily usage, cutting to 5 pcs) https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/cialis
Maybe other sources are also available, this one I tried out.

Whats better the Viagra 100mg or the Cialis 20mg?
I heard Cialis is better because of no headaches and lasts 32 hours as opposed to 4. Based on the recommended dosage I take it Cialis is more poweful than Viagra?

Does anyone experience random erections with Cialis, I am curious as it lasts a lot longer and I dont want to spend all my money a drug thats going to give me painful erections all day as opposed to Viagra that wouldn't as it's more controlled.

I used both Viagra 100mg and Cialis 20mg. I have headaches with both, basically I have all the side effects mentioned on the box.
Viagra 100mg gives me much better erection than the Cialis 20mg.
It was like that in the past, now the effect of both is much less. Even with 100mg Viagra can't have a long lasting and 100% erection.

Arent you supposed to be aroused to get erections from the medication? Maybe your having fear that your not getting an erection, and your mind is not concentrating on the arousal part but more on the fear aspect, therefor you don't get one. I don't know. I am just speculating, I never took it before. I can definitely see something like that happening though. Just concentrate on enjoying the sex and maybe your erections will become stronger.

I am not the first one using those medications that they effect is getting less and less during the time. Even with stimulation the erection is not 100% anymore.
This is the reason that people having ED (connected or not connected to Peyronies) are progressing from oral meds to injections and from injections to implants.

The desire also is much less even my testosterone level is 495, maximum normal for males of 50 years and up is 427 (according to the test results document). The desire may have psychological aspect.

So Viagra, Cialis, Levitra and what will follow are not a permanent solution as they effect is lost slowly during time.
Same as the antibiotics that are becoming less effective during the time if you are using them often.

The side effects are not psychological, they are real and making me not to be able to use those medications more that ones a week.
I would like to use my penis not ones a week, I would like to use it 3, 4 times a week, sometimes even more, like before the Peyronies.

Is it losing it's potency a permanent side effect? Or is it possible maybe it will gain back some of it's potency since your only using it once a week.
Maybe not. Obviously you know. Just brainstorming here.

james1947

It may work different for everyone but for me it lost the effect during time, even now when I am using the 50mg or 100mg Viagra ones a week (more or less). I am not using Cialis 20mg because it never gives me strong erection, just mild and also the side effects are very strong.

From the other side, the low dose daily intake of Cialis (before I was taking low dose Viagra) helping with nocturnal and morning erections.

I'm look at the vitality from Diabetes4less. Should I go with the Manual or battery operated for the exercises. Or should I get the one that does both? Let me know.

Old Man

Lifesucks:

You really do not need the battery powered model unless you have problems with using your hands. The manual model will allow you more flexibility in pumping up and releasing the vacuum pressure.

Most of us on the forum use the manual pump model based on the reason stated above. Also, you will have no need to replace the battery all the time as it goes dead.

The diabetes source seems to have the better price at the moment for the Vitality OTC one cylinder VED too.

I just read about what Pentox does. It increases blood flow to the penis. Now is this only recommended to use along with VED excercises. Or could it replace Viagra or Cialis all together (I can get erections with physical touch only, and my penis is not sturdy and safe for intercourse, so I am thinking about getting on Cialis to safely have intercourse)

Also, how many mg of Pentox should I take with the VED excercises, and how many times in a day?

james1947

No, I am not recommending those medications for you.
It was my answer to your question regarding cheap sources.

Regarding what they are exactly doing for Peyronies:
Arginine relaxes blood vessels and increases circulation. It helps also with erection, body builders using it some 5 gram daily, for Peyronies most using 1000mg daily
Ubiquinol help strengthen your overall cardiovascular system, again what we need down there. I think in the link you have quoted
http://products.mercola.com/coq10-ubiquinol/ you can find much more deep explanation and to related to Peyronies.

Hope my explanation helps

Okay I am using the VED now. Is it supposed to reduce some of the bend or just keep the penis healthy?

From what I read on the forum the VED helps also to straiten the penis.
Myself using the single cylinder six months already, no straitening as today, but as I understand the 3 cylinders VED is much more effective in reducing curvature.

The VED can and will help straighten your penis, but it takes quite a bit of time and patience to experience any noticeable difference.

The VED can also help keep your penis in a more healthy condition since it brings fresh blood into and out of the corpus areas.

VED therapy is not an overnight treatment, so be prepared to use the protocol as many times as is necessary to determine if it will help your condition.

I am sorry that it does not help 100%  of Peyronies Disease cases, but also no therapy is not the way to go. So keep up the VED protocol using the right method and be careful with the vacuum pressure and not overpump.

How many times should I do in a day, twice (10 minutes each)?

I want to thank all of you for the help. This forum has been the only source of REAL help I have had, waaaaay more helpful than any of the clueless urologists I've talked to. Matter of fact, the urologists haven't been any help at all. Thank you all so much!

Old Man

Lifesucks:

There is a protocol for both single and three cylinder VEDs on the VED board page of the forum home page. Click the VED board link and it will take you to all the thread/topics there. Select either one of the protocol that corresponds to the VED model you are using. They are very well written, but some of the items may be confusing to a first time user, so feel free to ask any and all questions that arise when you start your regimen.

Two sessions per day are OK, but limit the time to about 10 to 15 minutes each time and try to allow at least 8 to 10 hours between these times. VED therapy is one where less is much better than more with the vacuum pressure. So, limit the pressure you pump to a point that is not uncomfortable or causing any pain. Work slowly to begin with and learn how your penis reacts to the therapy before embarking of a formal protocol.

I am sure that you will have other questions, so feel free to ask any and all at any time.

Well. I notice I don't get a full erection in the ved. I was circumsized incorrectly and the VED handles my penis weirdly. The skin under my penis is short, so the thing likes to take the skin from my testicles into the tube with it. And like I said, i never get fully erect, well, it doesn't appear to be my full length when an adequate amount of vaccume pressure. Should I stop, or should I accept these almost half erections as full ones?

james1947

LifeSucks

I my opinion you should not stop using VED and also not
Quoteaccept these almost half erections as full ones

You should see very carefully if you can increase the vacuum pressure to get full erected.
In my case, it seems full erected (I can't know for sure), but when deflating the VED even littlebit, this "full erection" is gone immediately.

I am continuing with VED because is inducing blood flow in & out of the penis and this contributes to a healthy penis and stretching the plaques.

The reason it does it is because all my erections lay up on my stomach, and since the VED is set up for my erections to go out straight it only gets half erect.

(Caused by the scar tissue at the base of my penis, or it could be closer to my pevic bone, I'm not sure exactly where that scar tissue is.. I just know it causes it to bend up severely.)

Old Man

Lifesucks:

Your VED should be able to operate correctly at any angle of your shaft out from your body. I will give you some suggestions to try and help you with with your sessions below.

1. If you have excessive pubic hair, you should first trim off the long hair. Then shave out from the shaft far enough to allow for a clean skin surface for the mouth of the VED. (You will need to keep this area clear of stubble afterwards.)
2. Do not get any lubrication on your scrotum (sack) or it will have a tendance to crawl up into the mouth of the VED when pumping.
3. Start pumping very slowly to allow your shaft to adjust to the added pressure as you pump. Jockey the cylinder around a bit when you first to start pumping to let the shaft adjust, etc.
4. Based on which VED you have be sure to use a sizing insert to provide a good tight seal around the base of the shaft next to your body. The Vitality and Augusta VEDs have two inserts, one large and one small that fits inside the large one. Most VEDs do have a sizing insert.
5. Lastly, just be very careful with the vacuum pressure and not overpump causing more trauma. If you should experience any trauma, i.e. irritation or redness of the skin that won't go away quickly after a pumping session, edema of the foreskin or shaft skin or if the skin should get broken, make sure you stop the sessions until these problems have gotten well. Then and then only resume the sessions.

Let me now if there are any other questions that arise from your VED therapy.
