Justo,

I was just diagnosed with this disease last week.  It's all still very new to me as well.  These guys are great though.  Take their advice and really throw yourself into work, the gym, keep your mind and body busy.  I had to learn to not obsess about it, it's difficult, but not impossible.  Once I accepted it, I started to talk to my best Friend, as well as these guys on here and I felt much less isolated.  I believe my condition is in the stable arena, as did my urologist.  I will be seeking out another urologist,as mine was of the nature to tell me i had Peyronies Disease, can't do anything, and see ya in 6 months.  No suggestions from him at all.

Your condition sounds very similar to mine.  I have a small nodule, behind my glans, just left of center.  When erect, it makes a slight hourglass shape, as the top and bottom of my shaft are not entirely free to swell.  I do not have the pain I once did.  I wish I would have sought out help earlier, but I was so naive I didn't even know there was such a disease.  Again, I'm still new to this, I don't have any vacuums or traction.  I take L-Arginine, one 1000mg pill per day, as well as a fish oil pill, and a multivitamin (when I remember).  I hope to be setting something up with a new urologist this week, who can advise me further on all of this.

Know that you are not alone, you can take control of it.  I have always, and still continue to get erections unaided.  I was scared and completely devastated, and couldn't have felt less sexual when I found all of this out, but it passes.  I masturbate, think of it as therapy :-)  I would like to get some Pentox and see how it goes.  There's a lot of support and help on here, so welcome, and don't feel alone

Regarding Pentox.
If you don't find an uro to prescribe you Pentox, you still can get it buy the internet at https://www.riverpharmacy.ca/drug/trental
I have bought from them 600 pills because I read some posts on the forum that is a serious company, many years in the market and because in the Far East where I am living now the price is $1.5 per pill.
You may find other sources also by the Internet.

I am 100% with Willfly post, ones you are on this forum you are not alone and no one here is promoting some business. We just care each other.

Hi guys....I saw this on a Uro site today....it is a pay site so i couldn't see the article but....

"With the increasing awareness of Peyronie's disease (Peyronies Disease), the interest in new concept medications to treat the disorder is escalating."

Lets hope it true!

Our interest? Yes.

The interest of the big drug companies and the doctors? I don't think so. Like with Pentox, we know it helps but is too cheep to make big money on it, so is difficult to get a subscription.

Well on other pages there is at least the abstract...
QuoteAbstract

With the increasing awareness of Peyronie's disease (Peyronies Disease), the interest in new concept medications to treat the disorder is escalating.
Profibrogenic factors such as transforming growth factor (TGF)-beta1, endothelin (ET-1), connective tissue growth factor (CTGF), angiotensin (Ang) II and platelet derived growth factor (PDGF), all appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of Peyronies Disease. β-Thymosins, pirfenidone, nitric oxide (NO) donors, phosphodiesterase (PDE)-5 inhibitors, matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs)/anti-tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMP)-1 reduce collagen synthesis, while decorin, follistatin, and Smad 7 exert antifibrotic effects;
all have been proposed for the treatment of Peyronies Disease.
Alternative and/or novel approaches for the treatment of Peyronies Disease are needed in part because of the recognized multifactorial etiology of this complex disorder. A comprehensive approach for translating available experimental information into clinically effective drug trials for the treatment of Peyronies Disease is needed.
We propose a multi-faceted approach for drug development to generate novel drug products for the treatment of Peyronies Disease.

Well they actually only say that it is needed. I second that, to bad they dont give the answer.

Hmmm...

Just an update ....I am on Cialis ...half a dose of 5mg.
Potaba and L arginine.

I had to cut back to half the dosage of Potaba because i was getting heart palpitations. Doctor suggested this. Now I am ok with that. But....I have strange things happening. Like the veins  in my penis don't go away for a long time after night erections. Also they hurt! not a lot but enough to be alarming. Also there is this very strange formation on the sides....like a dime on each side. As if the dimes were implanted underneath the skin. So bizarre. Uffff.....Anyone else have these?

Heading to Doctor tomorrow.

justo

ok....doctor explained the strange formations. Vains that are deeper in the penis transversely. showing maybe compensating for cut off circulation.
Also he switched me to pentox. Lets see what happens now.

Good news that the doctor switched you to Pentox. Just don't expect that thinks will happen very fast.
It takes time for Pentox to be effective.

took my first dose of pentox today. Very hopeful it will work.

justo

well....i am on pentox cialis and L arginine. This morning i woke up and had a serious bend to the left I NEVER had before. I almost cried when i saw this. Horrible. However i noticed a bi later as another erection occurred that it got better. and when it was a full erection the bend went away. Has anyone else had this happen?

james1947

Justo

Well, you are too short time on Pentox, etc' to see some improvement or damage.
I suppose it was happening in any case, with or whitout the treatment.
Your bend may be the result of the erection stretching the plaque and when full erect the erection is enough strong to stretch the plaque to make your penis strait?

What is happening to me is that I don't have really full erections anymore (hope will have results from the treatment) so the deformities are not disappearing when erected. I will be very happy that it will happen to me but I don't find yet L-Arginine here to add to my treatment.
Even when using VED (every day) the deformities are there.

how old are you james? if i may ask?

do u use cialis?

james1947

Justo

I am 64, will be 65 at Christmass this year.
I am using Cialis now. I begin with slowly slowly with 2.5mg (cutting 20mg in 8 pcs) as in the past I have tried the 20mg and I had bad side effects. My actual dosage is 4mg daily (for the last two weeks), cut the 20mg in 5 pcs.
Maybe not objective, but I begin to have erections (not really full, but enough for intercourse) without the 50mg Viagra I was taking to achieve 80% erection. I must to state that I am using also Pentox 2*400mg daily and 30 minutes VED daily also.

Hope the information helps
