Raphe after plication

This is what the Dr's notes say:

"I now made a midline raphe incision from the subcoronal level down to the penoscrotal junction."

Pre-operation, my raphe was pretty thin. Post-operation, all the skin is bunched up with stitches so it is very thick, all bunched up.

What can I expect, will it remain large? I googled raphe incision healed but all I got were surgery pictures that I'd rather not see again

When will the pain go away. The top and bottom of the raphe stitch areas are bumps and hurt with pressure. How long does it take to go away?

memnoch, are you seeing crenulations (ripples or bumps)? I had such features along the sutures used to re-glove my penis. Most of mine went away in 2 to 3 months. A short section, 1/2 to 3/4 inch, took more like 5 to 6 months. I applied Mederma Advanced Scar Gel to the sutured incision areas and it worked very well. There is very little indication that a circumferential incision was made.

The seam has flattened quite a bit. There are a few suture bumps under the seam. I can't tell if there was a circumferential cut.
