Hi everyone, I am new to the Peyronies Disease world and glad to find you. 36 and born with a congenital curve of about 15degrees to the left.

I first traumatised my dick in July 2024 after incorrectly using a Tenga egg during masturbation. I was on the comedown from MDMA and decided to treat myself. The egg got stuck right where my foreskin was - I didn't realise you could open it to pull it down to the shaft. A side effect of MD is that it takes ages to finish. By the time I was done I realised I'd hurt myself a bit but didn't think it would be a big deal.

The first problem is this has left me with a permanently swollen vessel whenever I pull my foreskin back that looks like a little bubble. Unsightly, and I wish it was gone. But I would also get some pain in my penis whenever I had full erections. This wasn't severe but it was new and worrying.

Life carried on as normal and I delayed going to the doctor out of embarrassment. Knowing what I know now, my dick had microtrauma and wasn't healing, but there was no change in shape.

In March 2025 I started on 0.25mg/day of finasteride. Within the week my dick started to shift and curve to the left. I stopped taking fin but by then the damage was done, leaving me with a curve to the left of about 35degree and hourglass deformity on the left only.

I know it could just be coincidental, given that it was a quarter of the regular dose. But the timing seems too close to me. Maybe if I didn't have the original injury I wouldn't have had any problems, or maybe Fin is a lot more dangerous than we thought.

In April 2025 I saw a urologist who couldn't feel any plaque and booked me in for an ultrasound. While having some light masturbation I felt something 'pull' on my right side. Days later this became very sore whenever I got an erection. On the left I can now feel a small plaque and a much larger one on the right. The hourglass is beginning to spread around. Ultrasound later confirmed this.

I am currently taking 5mg Tadalafil (cialis) and a modified version of Gianni Paulis's antioxidant supplements. I'm doing gentle stretching with my hand and hope to add real traction therapy soon.

My biggest issue right now is pain during erections. If I wear tight trousers, my penis will push into it and it will hurt quite badly and I'll have to adjust my trousers. Some sex positions are also too painful for this reason like girl on top. I have mostly quit all sexual activity since the start of May which has improved things but is a dull way to live.

Can anyone advise me on what to do for the penis pain? I have purchased diclofenac gel based on Paulis's protocol but it's not arrived yet. Is it also too soon to use a traction device like RestoreX?

Thanks,
RH

I am not a doctor but I deem highly unlikely that 0.25 Mg can affect your penis curvature, even more so in a week time...

What I go on writing on this forum is that both my brother and I got Peyronie and while I have been taking 1mg finasteride for about 10 years now he does not. The only difference is that I still have my hair and he does not.

However, before I came to know that he had Peyronie too, I also feared Finasteride was the cause of my disease.

I believe that finding a reason for the disease is a necessity for all of us, but likely genetics plays the biggest role.

As far as I understand you are still in the acute phase. Pain will reduce and eventually should disappear.

If you want you can try ESWT, it appears not so effective for curve but ok for pain. It s costly though.

I was also on Finasteride 1mg a day for 10 years.

The year I developed peyronies I was taking high doses of Tadalafil & Sildenafil and participating in orgies lasting hours.

I believe the two combined is what caused peyronies. Had I done one or the other or neither of them then there maybe a chance I wouldn't have developed it.

It's not certain. I can only speculate.

Thanks for your replies guys. Yes, you're probably right. My Urologist was also skeptical about the fin affecting me. At 0.25mg I stopped because it was causing anxiety rather than anything else. I wasn't inspecting my dick daily but in hindsight it only started changing shape that week. Strange.

I used topical finasteride from about August 2024 to November 2024, at which point I then switched to 0.25mg in the tablet form.

I also thought the lower dose was more conservative but by mid January 2025, I noticed things were wrong.

I don't think it directly causes Peyronies but it makes your erections marginally softer, making injuries from sex much more likely...and in my case that is exactly what happened. Taking my girl from behind, had a slight mis-thrust at an odd angle and my penis slipped out, slamming into her asscheek.

I didnt feel any pain initially and thought it was fine but the symptoms slowly revealed themselves after about a month.

Worth pointing out also...you know that "terrible" hormone, DHT, that hairloss companies tell you is the problem...well its directly responsible for sustaining penile tissue health and healing from minor injuries, just like the one I described.

By lowering it, sure we might keep some of out hair but man, If I had known before, there is no way I would have even chanced it.

I would check to make sure Diclofenac is safe to use on your penis.
