Hello everyone and thank you for this wealth of information.

I wanted to revisit a topic that has already sparked debate on the forum, with some positive feedback and others much less so: PRP

I came across this small study that seems relatively interesting on the topic, and I'd really like to know what you think about the results.

You might not know this, but unfortunately Europeans no longer have access to XIAFLEX, so any alternative treatment can be extremely valuable...

Thank you for all the support and best of luck to everyone

This is a common misconception.

Europeans do have access to Xiaflex. It's prescribed on a patient by patient basis.

Thank you for your message, but I remain skeptical...

Please note that in France, it is currently no longer possible to access this treatment.

The reason is simple: according to the urologists I've spoken with, the manufacturer has apparently stopped distributing it in Europe.

Yes, this is true.

However a urologist is able to contact the manufacturers of Xiaflex and purchase it in smaller quantities and prescribe it on a patient by patient basis.

Xiaflex withdrew from the European market as it wasn't profitable. So they don't market or supply it anymore.

This doesn't stop a urologist from getting into contact with the manufacturer and purchasing Xiaflex in smaller quantities.

Most Urologists won't do this as the cost Xiaflex is asking for is extortionate and they will not be able to sell it to patients as no one is willing to pay the $€£ 12,000 per injection they are asking for.

A 3 injection treatment of Xiaflex is easily €$£ 30,000-40,000.

The other option is some urologists are now taking the active ingredient collagense and reproducing it at an affordable price.

They aren't allowed to mass market collagenase injections due to the patent that Xiaflex hold and would be sued.

As long as urologists issue it on a patient by patient basis and don't mass market they are fine.

This is the misconception surrounding Xiaflex in Europe.

I know of patients in Italy, Belgium and Dubai receiving collagenase injections.

I am here in the UK.

Thank you for this very detailed response, I am now convinced.

However, the fact that this treatment is available at an exorbitant price basically means it is 'unavailable' for the vast majority of Europeans...

Thanks to your response, we just better understand all the underlying factors of this situation.

Do you have any perspective on the study I'm referring to?

I paid £4,000 for shockwave therapy with no results.

I am very doubtful shockwave with PRP does anything.

These studies are written in a way to suggest there was success.

However this doesn't ever seem to be the case from talking to other men with first hand experience with these treatments.

There are many members on this forum that have had either shockwave or PRP or the two combined.

At first they believe they had results then as time passes they soon realise they actually haven't.

It's because they have paid a large sum of money and want to believe it worked and have an optimistic attitude.

The science doesn't support the claims of these treatments and therefore aren't FDA approved.

The only proven treatments that work are Tadalafil, RestoreX, VED and Xiaflex.

Your other options are do nothing or surgery.

The combination of treatments I listed will work over time. You will never be back to normal, you must accept your original penis is now gone.

As long as you can get regular healthy hard erections and reduce curvature to a manageable degree that makes sex comfortable and enjoyable then your treatment has been a success.

What you can do is use proven and effective treatments and improve your condition.

I have a mild to moderate condition of peyronies that can be improved with treatment.

Severe cases require surgery. Either Pilcation, Grafting or Implant.

This is the truth to peyronies. There is no other.

Thank you for your honesty, even though it's difficult to read and to take in...

Thank you as well for your thoughtful advice on the attitude to adopt.

I was depressed when I first got my diagnosis.

This forum has been a huge help.

You'll make it. Take on the advice and treatments I listed.

It's a slow process to improvement.

See how you get on.

I hope to find the strength to follow in the footsteps of those who have gone through this difficult ordeal before me... Thank you for your encouragement

Just read your journal and saw your photos: your original hourglass reminds me of what I'm going through right now, but I'm in the acute phase, so I don't know what the future holds...

What are your thoughts on applying the effective treatments you mention during this phase, especially when there's pain even in the flaccid state?

Thank you for your attention.

An hourglass is when there is a ring around the entire penis making it appear smaller.

Just to correct you what I have is an indent. That's when the plaque is on one side. This is what causes curvature.

Everyone's peyronies is different. I never really experienced pain in the acute phase. I would feel some very mild pain after sex at the time. It was never hurtful, very mild.

You should definitely take Tadalafil in the acute phase. I highly recommend you do.

Some light traction and VED is advisable. As long as you can tolerate it.

Then wait until the chronic phase for Xiaflex injections.
