Hi,

I finally was in the chronic phase and my treatment showed noticable improvement of my deformity. My therapist helps me with the related OCD.

Today Morning I was about to write a "recovered" or at least "coped and moved on" post here on the forum.

Ironically 30 minutes later I had sex with my wife and I miss-thrusted in missionary position.

I felt a pain at that moment that I can continue to feel in my glans and in my plaque that is dorsal right below the glans until now.

I am in full anxiety now, fearing that my condition gets worse or I get a new deformity.

I will now let the pain heal off before staring sexual activity again.

---

How was it for you, did you also have miss-thrusted with pain that did not create new plaque? Some experiences like this would help to reduce my anxiety as I still do not understand if every injury with my predisposition leads to plaque or if it is random.

Thanks and KR

I did have a couple of times where I did have sex and I thought that I re injured myself. I immediately started with heat therapy with a heating pad and laid off the sex. It did heal without any new deformities. Accidents can happen but remember this one thing that since you've had peyronies once you need to be alert to it in the future. I'm not saying to live in fear but just realize where you have been and where you don't want to go. I think you'll be fine. Anxiety does more harm o us than good!

Thanks, I am super careful. Today it was a random accident. I hope it was just a felt pain and no actual wound and if so that it heals normally. Fingers crossed.

The psychological uncertainty of this disease is what makes it really stingy.

Thanks

This time the mental load really got me. Still in full anxiety, and one week away from my next therapist session to work it through. My wife is trying to calm me which is nice.

I cannot see swelling or obvious injury, but I still feel the burning/stingy pain from yesterday. I hope it is not an injury or inflammation, but just the irritation from the impact.

I am constantly thinking about how now when I thought this horror trip of a disease is finally at an end, it might just start again. Putting up the strength to go through it again would be really challenging.

I hope the pain stops in the next 1-2 days so that I am not reminded of this again and again.

Did anyone else had a miss-thrust and multiple days of pain, yet no new plaque formed in the coming weeks and months?

Thanks

You are gong to be just fine. Did you try the heating pad I told you about? Set it on low and put a towel in between you and it. Do this for 30 minutes a couple of times throughout the day.

An incident like this does not automatically equal plaque or new deformity. However one thing is for certain, anxiety and stress will make matters worse. The brain is an incredibly powerful thing.. Anxiety can make you see things that are not even there. Take some pain meds if you have any, monitor the pain and monitor if you experience any new bends/symptoms. Most likely it is just some localized pain/irritation that will go away with some rest and time.

I know this is easier said then done, but please do not stress/panic!!

Thanks Mikel! I did warm baths as I have no heat pads and this helped with the pain. Especially while in the bath the pain is almost gone.

Thanks Sonic. I am always torn between using Ibuprofen, on the one hand it helps with the pain, but I always feel my stomach upset for some days after using it. I will try to go without it until tomorrow then see if I need them to get out of the pain-anxiety-loop.

Really appreciate the support!

Now the issue is almost 10 days ago. The pain stopped. I did not see a new deformity or plaque. I hope it is fine and nothing new will pop up in the next weeks.
My anxiety is back under control.

Thanks again for the fast support.

I have found with this disease is that 90% is worry and anxiety and 10% is the physical deformities we all have to deal with.
