Traction therapy: (PMP)

Indication or contraindication in case of hourglass figure?

Any feedback?

Thank you

The PMP is a more gentle stretch but must be worn for more time daily. It also has a suction cup glans apparatus that is more comfortable.

The Restorex is more aggressive in its pulling forces but it has the advantage of being worn for less time and has the counter bending action.

Both could help with hour glassing but remember that each man responds differently to traction. You just need to give it a try and see your response.

Thank you for your wise advice, MIKEL. I'm truly grateful.
I'm also very lost... I'm so sad to have developed this disease. I'm having a hard time accepting it and planning for the future. I'm losing everything.

There's so much information, so many dangers in doing or not doing something. It terrifies me. The pain makes me think it might be a bad idea to start restorex or VED therapy because of the inflammation.
But at the same time, I'm afraid the tissues will shrink and I'll lose what little volume I have... What a horrible ...

Courage to all!

It sounds like you are experiencing a lot of worry and anxiety. This is normal all of us men here have gone through this. We did not stay there but developed a plan of action and worked the plan. You will get through this and you will have a future and you will have a sex life! For now if you are experiencing pain I would say to start some heat therapy daily even multiple times a day. It will help with healing and give you some hope. You should also look into using Cialis or other like drugs to help with erections and inflammation reduction. Then study up on traction from reading this forum and you will learn from other men's experiences. You are going to make it!!!!

Hi pleaseneedhelp,

the anxiety nearly eat me up.

I started exercising and started going to cognitive behavioral therapy. This helped me reduce the anxiety.

Also I started talking with family and close friends. This took away my fear of being "incomplete" with a deformed penis.

I searched and met a surgeon so I have a backup plan in case I need surgery or an implant. This helped to get a feeling that the "worst case" of not having sex anymore is not very likely to happen for me.

At times of anxiety I also found help in this forum.

Stay strong.

Hi Munich!
Thank you for your support, sincerely.

As for me, I think I'm in denial. I still can't believe this disease exists—and that now it affects me... It feels unreal.

I've read a lot on this forum during my long sleepless nights, and if there's one thing I've understood, it's that only the implant seems to offer a chance at regaining a semblance of life and peace of mind.

In France, we have an experienced surgeon who trained in the United States and performs this procedure regularly (around 100 per year).

The only problem, as I understand it, is that this surgery is usually "reserved" for men suffering from erectile dysfunction...

Why are those affected by Peyronie's disease seen as less legitimate? Don't they have the right to reclaim a "normal" life?

Maybe I'm getting carried away, but I just can't understand how people can be left to suffer so much, psychologically...

Hi pleaseneedhelp,

I know the denial and research phase. It really shocks us men learning about it; especially with the often passive urologist offering only a wait and see approach.

Anyway. Going for an implant would be the "last" action for me.

I had some considerate improvements over the last months using combination of treatments and potentially also natural progression. My penis will never be the same, but it is functional and I am starting to get used to the looks.

I know the start of the disease is very difficult, but I would think twice before doing a "irreversible" surgery like an implant...

Anyway it is so great that implants are available in case the deformity and/or ED is severe.

One thing that I asked a urologist surgeon was if there is anything lost when doing surgery later then earlier and he said pretty much no. This gave me peace of mind trying conservative treatment beforehand. So this might be a good question to ask to the surgeon beforehand to get out of the felt time pressure this disease causes.

Let me tell you something "funny": Once we men get older, women get older too; everyone might get one or the other health issues throughout life. My Peyronies Disease occured exactly when my wife had an accident impacting her vision. She always says: "I know this Peyronies Disease bothers you, but I don't feel a difference, and I can't really see it..." :D

Stay strong.

Kind regards
T

I am truly sorry about your wife and her health problems. Life has thrown so many trials your way all at once, especially at your age... That being said, I read your messages and sense a great deal of wisdom in them. One day, an author said something that left a mark on me: "To noble souls, worth does not wait for the number of years." You must be one of the people he was referring to.

As for me, I am (for now?) light-years away from being able to see life with the same philosophy as you. In all honesty—and this isn't to "make people cry in their cottages," as we say back home—but I really feel like leaving. As you've probably gathered, I wasn't in the best mental state even before all of this happened. But now I find myself with no strength left to face this ordeal, which feels terribly unfair. Life has beaten me...

Please know that I deeply respect your point of view on implants; I find it very balanced. But personally, the days are crushing me, and I know I won't be able to hold on much longer with this illness that terrifies me... I know that some of us take action and decide to put an end to it all. I mourn them as much as I admire their courage... Maybe one day soon I'll have the courage to press "off" myself.

Dear T., I wish you all the best for the future. Let me also thank you warmly for the time you so kindly gave me. May peace be upon you and your wife.
