Should I see a psychologist or a psychiatrist?

Hello, brothers! I hope you all are doing very well!

So I have finally decided to get the help I truly need but I'm a bit confused if I should go to psychiatrist or just a psychologist.

I think going to a psychiatrist could be a good idea (because they are medical doctors) but I have had very bad experiences with 2 psychiatrists in the past, the first one never believed that I actually had physical health problems because I was "too young" to have problems down there and things like that don't happen to young folks, which is just BS and he tried to put me on a whole stack of meds that are known to F~@< us up sexually even more and the second one was literally making fun of me and humiliating me and making me even more f'~c<+d up mentally.

At first, a psychologist seemed like a good option but I doubt only talk, therapy and things like CBT, etc will help me much in my problems, but I'm open to both options and may take help of both in the future but what should I go with first?

Any and all advice would be much appreciated.

Have a great day and stay strong, warriors!

If it were me I would try to find a sexual therapist/psychologist that treats men. Yes it may be difficult to find one but you would benefit from the discussions. Psychiatrists in my opinion will try to give you their cocktail of drugs to help you through whatever. If you are suffering from deep depression though you should be on some form of medication to help you through this.
