Hey everyone,

I wanted to check in and see if anyone who has dealt with an hourglass/indentation deformity has experienced similar symptoms.

It's been a little over a month since I first noticed the indentation mid-shaft. I've stayed on my oral medications and supplements, as I already had Peyronie's before this new complication. I've also been doing light traction with RestoreX, following a doctor's recommendation, and I hope that it hasn't contributed to these symptom developments. I have a few questions for anyone familiar with this type of scarring:

-Discoloration and Texture Changes: I've noticed a progression in discoloration (darker with some redness) and changes in the skin texture around the plaque area, which now feels more spongy. Is this typical as this type of plaque develops? I assume these changes might be due to the plaque affecting the surrounding tissue.

-Feeling a "Line" in the Tissue: When flaccid or semi-erect, I've also felt a "line" in the tissue along the deformity. Could this be related to the plaque "pulling" on the surrounding tissue?
I wanted to confirm whether these developments are typical with this type of scarring (hourglass/indentation) as I continue traction therapy.

Thanks in advance for your input!

Hi Groovymix,

Our experiences sound similar. I am the same age, lost same amount of length, also experience HF symptoms, and have developed an hourglass (though only when semi-erect)
I too have been noticing a subtle darkening midshaft.
I do not feel the "line" you're describing but am only 4 months into the disease so maybe I have that to look forward to.
currently I am still able to have a normal sex life and my partner claims to not notice any changes. Is that the same in your case? I've been hoping to find someone who is further along into their diagnoses to compare to.
Symptoms started May 27 2024. Hourglass (only semi erect) narrowing, one inch lost. Diagnosed June 20th Dr. Zbraki
