Hi everyone, I'm new here on the forum.

I was 13 years old when we first got a computer, and the first thing I search for on the internet EVER, was: "FIX CROCKED PENIS", hehe.. That was over 22 years ago tho.

I can tell, reading a lot of posts here, most of you relate to having a really hard time dealing with this affliction. And although I wouldn't wish this upon anyone, it feels good to be around people that understands.

Having a crooked penis has taken space in front of my brain since I was very young.. Always feeling this uncomfortable insecurity, or sexual inadequacy, looming around my life. I have always had a lot of insecurities about my body, dating, relationships and intercourse as it is, with or without a good looking and well functioning penis. When I got older, a lot of my insecurities dissipated, but this one still lingers on, taking up a lot of space in my life.

I know some of you have a situation where you can't have sex, or suffers a lot of pain. And I understand that's a whole different can of worms than dealing with Congenital Curvature. Before I realized that my deformity wasn't Peyronies, I got a little excited about the prospect of using Traction, or a RestoreX device and listening to advice given for people suffering from that.

But whilst clicking around here on the forum, a lot of the posts about Congenital Curvature seems to get one of two responses:

a) Have an operation (but also please don't because if you can have sex and don't have pain the risk outweighs the potential benefits).

b) Since you can have sex, and can get an erection without pain, learn to live with it. Because the methods used for Peyronies don't work for Congenital Curvature.

What I am asking here, is, if you are not ready to get an operation (which I am not), is there really NOTHING else one can do? How sure are we that traction or a device like RestoreX don't work for people with Congenital Curvature, do anyone have any experience or wisdom to bestow upon me regarding this?

When I use traction by hand I can feel the contracted part of my penis stretch, it is almost a nice feeling, like a deep stretch.. like dick-yoga, haha. But I haven't committed to doing several times a day for long periods of time. But I would if there were any chance of improving my curvature..

Sidenote: I read a lot of posts from people with Congenital Curvature, some similar to mine, and yes it is very possible to have sex and find partners even with this disfigurement, and even tho feeling super insecure. I have had longterm relationships and several one nights stands, so technically, yes, very possible. Still, I feel like crap about this, even in long term relationships when the women have seen my penis a hundred times or preformed oral sex etc. It's of course a big deal what a potential partner will think about my penis, but mostly it is me, I don't seem able to be ok with the fact that my dick looks like a got damn twisted banana, haha!

And here are some images, just for reference:

IMAGE 1: This is from the Right hand side, and I have to really squeeze to get it to stand up this much, usually it looks like the next image while being erect.

IMAGE 2: This is normal erection for me.

IMAGE 3: On this last one, from Left hand side, You can really see the twisting of it as well.

Anyhow, if you have any insights, advice on treatment or encouragement, please respond. Or if you just relate or have a similar situation. Much appreciated.

We don't know if traction will or won't work for congenital curves. There just aren't any reports or studies that show this is effective. But it is worth a try. You just have to decide how long are you willing to try traction or a similar device until you see any benefits.

Thank you for your response LWillisjr. Appreciate you taking the time.
Do you have any thoughts about the possibility of making it worse by doing traction? I've read some places here on the forum that traction could potentially lead to Peyronies? Have any thoughts on this?

Kind Regards.

Sorry to hear you have been going through this for such a long time. You can try restorex.... who knows if it will work, but at least you can't do any damage.

https://www.restorex.com/faq/i-have-congenital-penile-curvature-not-peyronies-disease-will-the-restorex-device-from-pathright-medical-treat-my-condition/

Start there, use the device religiously and if it doesn't work and you want to further address this then you have to find a doctor that is reputable and you can afford to go. There are several threads from members that had their congenital curvature corrected successfully that you can read here.

I am not aware of reading anywhere that using traction made a congenital curve worse. If you read that somewhere on this forum you will have to point it out for me.

In a post called: Jelq exercises to fix the congenital curvature Sonic said:

Jelqing is why hundreds of thousands of men end up on penis injury forums.

I think it was this, and maybe some other post that had me thinking I might do more damage than good if I use traction..

Thoughts?

The reference here is to jelqing. And jelqing is dangerous and will cause damage.

Using traction is fine.

freastone, there are not many options. There's doctors' opinions, traction, & surgery. The least expensive way forward is to simply buy & use a "good" traction device. If $$ is not critical, then I'd get some doctors' opinions. I'd select two that have lots of experience and with slightly different mindsets. For example, I'd make appointments with Trost in Utah and Gelman in Califirnia. It's even possible to have a video appointment with Trost. Trost developed the Restorix. Therefore, it's easier to trust his opinion when he says Reatorex is not useful. Both Trost and Gelman are recognized for surgery skill. Gelman is very pragmatic. One of the best things he ever said directly to me is something like, "Well, if it's determined surgery can help you, it's not necessary to proceed because such condition is not life or death."
