I've had peyronie's since 2002, almost 10 years now. I'm 32 years old. I reinured myself in the summer of 2010. During the winter months I tried  VED without success and indeed I feel I severely aggravated my condition. I started to take cialis alongside the pentox and my symptoms began to improve slowly but surely; however , i've begun to notice a difference in erectile quality and most notably in sensation. Perhaps all of the damage has resulted in some loss of sensation: the good news is i last longer to the extent that sometime I have difficulty achieving orgasm. Anyone else experience a loss of sensation??????? I have a minor induration with no substantial curveture. just persistent inflammation and pain going on almost a decade now!!!

Lespleen,
I have virtually the identical situation you do.  I am 32 and about 10 years into Peyronies.  I have noticed a lack of sensation since the Peyronies began.  I actually got tested for sensation by my urologist and he confirmed it was indeed the case.  I too have had pain for 10 years now, but also no substantial curvature.  Just a long band of scar tissue running the entire dorsal length and a bit of hourglassing at the base.

Please let us know your cialis regimen, how long and how much.  Were the benefits permanent?

How did your urologist confirm that you had suffered a loss in sensation???? I've been on cialis at 5mg every other day  now since april( in France we can't get cialis at 2.5 mg)....It helped with pain and erections. the loss in sensation occurred subsequent to reinjury a year ago. I love how we go see the doctor so that he can confirm what we're experiencing. guess just need to keep the unit vascularized.

lespleen:

You might try cutting the Cialis pills in half with a pill cutter so you can take it every day. I understand that daily use if much better than any other schedule to follow.

I use a pill cutter for several of my meds and it works great.

in my case cialis is more or like L-arginine. Yohimbine can help you for the lack of sensation. Je vie aussi en France et tu pourras trouver ça en pharmacie, c'est pas cher et sans ordonnance. (Cheap and over the counter).

I'm trying B1-B6 vitamins, don't really expect radical changes but I'll report my progess if any.

lespleen

That's a great idea.....i'd been using vitamin B back in the day and had simply fallen out of the habit of purchasing it. ....How long had you been using Yohimbine before you began to notice results. Connaissez vous qqn en france qui s'interesse un tant soit peu a cette maladie: urologue, andrologue , etc??? merci beaucoup.

Lespleen,
How did they test for loss of sensation?  He used a machine with a metal wand that emitted swings in temperature and vibration. I had to reply when I felt the change from cold to hot, etc.  He tested my finger then, he tested my penis.  I unfortunately was able to feel more with my finger than with my penis.  He couldn't offer any solutions for this other than a few people who begin to use viagra have claimed to get a bit of their sensation back.  Blood flow = help was his basic take away.

To help with blood flow to the glans have the doctor write you a prescription for Lovaza 1GM 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening. I noticed a lot better sensation about 6-8 weeks after my heart doctor put me on it.
Any medication that has ED as a side effect or a antidepressant can interfear with sensation.
It has helped me and several others. It also helps with delayed/difficult ejaculation. There is an article about it in my blog that may help you.
Anything that is good for the heart is good for your penis.

I find this interesting. I could see using the vibration aspect to measure sensation in the glans. But not temperature. It is a fact there are far fewer nerve endings for sensing temperature in the glans and way more for touch. So assuming everything is normal it is very difficult to detect changes in temperature from the glans alone.

that's right, more blood flow = more sensation. After a few days of B1 B6, I can't say there is improvement. Gonna take it for several and I'll report what happens.

The lovaza may be efficient when somebody has cholesterol because it lessen the arteries obliteration but in a cholesterol-free patient, it may be not so efficient.

There is a test to check penile nerve : put a finger in the anus, then squeeze the glans. Normally the anus will squeeze the finger, if impaired nothing happens (that's my case).

There is 3 types of erections :
- pyschogenic : fantazie on something, vision, smell, touch some body, etc...)
- reflex : mecanical stimulation of the penis
- unconscious : while dreaming (nocturnal erections)
