About for months ago I was I what I thought was the most important relationship of my life.  The chemistry was out of this world and I was in love.  She told me she loved me too.  I was so happy.  Towards the end of this relationship we were having intercouse and something happened.  It was like I had woken up from a dream and I all of a sudden was no longer aroused.  I was understandably concerned but my partner recoiled from me and soon after discarded me.  I was destroyed. My penis was numb for 2 months and I was left without a partner and a functioning penis.  Stumbling in and out of ER's,  doctor's offices, and therapists.  I went on cymbalta but after 4 months I realized it wasn't helping.  Here I am still trying to cope with this.  I have a scare tissue towards the base on the left side that make it seem somewhat unstable and it cleanse to the left. I can get most of a erection but I'm not sure if it's good enough for penetrative.  I can masturbate and ejaculated but it isn't the same.  I don't know how else to feel but bad.  I deleted all my dating apps when I was with her and cannot build the courage to even attempt.  My self hatred was already pronounced but now it has reached levels that I couldn't have fathomed.  The way my ex left me made it all but certain it was because of this.  She definitely has cluster B personality traits but the sheer heartless rejection I was subjected too has traumatized me beyond belief.  I'm looking at a life of isolation or in truth I fear for my physical safety.  I'm 37.

Moderator since 2015- Missouri- I work in the medical field and have strong knowledge of insurance and how to obtain coverage for medication and other treatments. Being a woman I do not have Peyronies but you can ask me anything. I am happy to help.

Welcome User12345 to the forum and thank you for filling out your signature line. Also please read and study our survival guide as this will give you a better understanding of peyronies and it's different treatments.

I am sorry for your break up and your injury. Dealing with the break up is difficult coupled with all of the negative emotions and self doubting yourself. Getting on some meds to help out with this is showing you are being responsible for your own mental health. Remember that you will make it through this part of your life and it will not define who you are! Break ups occur and everyone has experienced them. Healing and a fresh start will happen in time.

For the peyronies/injury part you really need to be under the care of a peyronies specialist if it is possible. Starting traction with the Restorex or PMP is a must. Follow this up with VED therapy and you should see some improvements. keep the anxiety and worrying down to a minimum as it does not help you in healing. Ruminating over negative thoughts must be stopped and replaced with the idea that you WILL get over this and YOU do have value! Get up each day and focus on something positive to think about and be proactive in your healing from peyronies. Adopt the mindset that this is a marathon and not a sprint. Read through the forum and you will see that each and every man has also experienced these negative destructive thought patterns. Also discussing this with someone can be helpful also. You're going to make it !!  :)

SNHL 7/2020 - Stopped all Meds because ototoxicity  Heat/traction/VED are working. CPPS Diagnosis - Stable :)

I'm in sex therapy.  I've seen multiple specialists.  The traction and VED stuff is risky and expensive.  I don't know what to do.

If it's so easy to get, I don't understand why there isn't a solution to this problem in the medical community. All boys should get something like a Peyronie's disease vaccine during their teenage years. For not getting this in the future.Something like that...
