I have 1" shrinkage, side curvature, and upward curvature. Do you think I should use traction for both curvatures during the first three months of treatment?

This would mean I would have to use the device for 45 minutes twice daily.

Do you think it's really necessary to move the tension rods to the side of the circle in order to use the device for side traction? It's kind of a hassle to keep having to move the rods for lengthening and then for side traction.

My scrotum gets caught in the base of the device sometimes where the tension rods come out. It can hurt. Have you figured out a way to prevent this?

After your three months plus experience with traction, is there anything you wish you knew when you first started?

I purchased a second base and another set of tension rods for this one purpose of switching positions quickly. You could do 15 minutes of straight stretching then 15 minutes of side stretching. With continued use you should see some improvement.

Where did you purchase the second base and set of rods?

So do you think I should work on the side curve for the first 3 months and than do traction on the upward curve after that?

I also have both an upward and leftward curve and have been counter bending for the upward curve (the worse of the two). I've also gotten a second base with the tension rods for easily changing to counter bend for the leftward curve. It really does make it easy to switch off counterbending directions, just a few seconds. And yes, I've been doing the 45 minutes twice a day. More time, but feels like the right thing to do, since neither curve is resolved yet. There is improvement, but working on both at the same time feels better.
