Day 1

I just got implanted with a titan from Dr. Hakky. It cost $23000 out of pocket (insurance didn't cover it).

The surgery was so quick, one minute they were having me lie on the table and the next minute I woke up implanted with hardly any pain. The lidocane and pain meds are keeping the pain at 2/10.

He upsized me to a 26cm which I hope doesn't cause problems for me down the road but after feeling so awful about my penis for so many years I got greedy and said F it let's upsize.

He said he could put the pump high up to make it less noticeable but I said it's fine to put it low because then the controls are easier to reach. Hopefully that doesn't mean it will hang too ridiculously low since I'm going to try to be discrete about being bionic downstairs  .

Day 2

Today I removed the dressings that were wrapped all around my penis and balls, and I am pretty disappointed with the size/girth. I am also sad that the pointy tips of the implant are so obvious when touching the head of my penis. My glans have been screwed up and unable to fill for years at this point and Dr. Hakky did warn me about this problem, but maybe if I take cialis before sex down the road it can plump the glans up a bit. Otherwise the girl is going to be feeling two pointy rods through the tip of my penis the whole time  .

Also, I see now that the pump is so prominent and low that any girl playing with my balls will immediately notice. I will have to come to terms with this.

I was able to do a few pumps and I heard a squelching sound when the liquid was traveling from the reservoir to the implant, is that normal? Also, I can't press the deflate button without a great deal of pain because the stitching is right over top of it. I guess I will wait a few more days to experiment more with pumping.


Psychologically I don't want this implant to be taking up so much space in my thoughts. I have been thinking about it so much for so long now, and I want to start thinking about other things in life. I am hoping once the stitching heals a bit and I figure out how to conceal the constant semi-erection in my pants that I can just limit myself to thinking about this implant ONLY when I do my daily cycling. Right now, and for the past year or so, it has been on my mind practically 24/7 and that is so unhealthy for me.

What's up man, congrats on the implant. I also had Hakky and I'm about 7 months post op. My pump has always squeeked if I pump fast, if you pump slow it should stop. Also, after pumping 50% it stops on its own.

Trust me I understand the million thoughts going through your head, that's how I was to. But at a few months out you won't even be thinking about it. And 6 months out it will be like it never happened. If you ready journal you'll see my ups and downs throughout recovery. I was upsized, and in retrospect, I think that's what made my cycling hard.

Congrats on having the procedure done! It takes a lot of courage. But you are still healing and so fresh into recovery. Please stay calm. You are in amazing hands with Dr. Hakky!

You will have to physically and mentally adjust to a "new penis" and that will take time. I don't have an implant but i can tell you that the tips being like that is a good thing. That means the implant has been properly sized. You can take cialis before sex or even MUSE tablets throught the glans if you are concerned about your glans not filling up. Please are different and not everybody gets an engorged glans after this procedure. But again... stay calm for now and focus on healing. Follow all his instructions to a T!

Day 3

I have now gotten the hang of pumping and deflating the implant. Pain is around a 5/10 when I have it inflated a decent amount and around a 2/10 when I have it ~ 20% inflated. I now have the ability to hide my penis in my waistband if I want to go outside.

I am excited to get the drainage tube removed on monday and continue on this MARATHON.

Day 5

Today I got the drainage tube taken out and I am feeling good.

It worries me that the ends of my cylinders are so close to the tip of my penis. It feels like there is just a thin layer of my withered glans preventing the pointy ends from stabbing out, but Dr. Hakky said it is nothing to worry about.

I really hope cialis can plump up my glans because it is so small right now.


Since these implants are such a rare thing to have in a young man, I truly have no way of knowing how girls will react to it. I know I would be perfectly fine with it if a girl told me she had a plastic vagina because of some injury, but there is so much more importance placed on the health and performance of a man's penis that it's not really a valid comparison. Lately it feels like everywhere I look-- movies, tv shows, memes, I see jokes about a man not being able to get hard. Women I will meet will definitely have been exposed to this sort of attitude for years and will have formed some deep-rooted biases. My only hope is that by the time they find out about my issue, they will already have fallen for me a great deal. I am not looking forward to this aspect of dating going forward and I see some hard times ahead...

I apologize for the vent, but these thoughts have just been eating me up a bit.

Day 7

Pain is 4/10 today when not cycling and 7/10 when cycling. What hurts the most is squeezing that damn pump through my sensitive ball skin.

I have a great deal of dog-earing. Dr. Hakky said it's normal, but it does result in my "flaccid" penis looking very weird... it looks and feels like a skinny crumpled up water bottle. Hopefully when the cylinders get softened up it won't be so drastic.

It feels so weird waking up every morning and remembering I now have cylinders in my penis, a large pump in my ball sack, and a big reservoir in my abdomen. It is just hard to reconcile with how I viewed myself in the past. Oh well, with time I'm sure I will adjust to this.

The only problem I had with the hard tips in the glans was it seemed to take the longest to recover from pain there and I think it was due to the side-to-side stretching rather than the tip stretch. The natural corpora tips were originally closer together than the cylinder tips are now. And yeah, they're hard. 

These surgeons vary a lot. My drain was removed within 24 hours. I was told not to pump for a month. The 5-to-7 pain in the first week sounds about right if you're pumping already. Would have been too much for me

Yes this exactly matches my situation! The tips are wider apart than the width of my glans so when I inflate, they are stretching beyond my glans and moving into that thin sensitive skin beneath the glans. I hope I am not causing damage here with this oversized implant  .

Day 8

Pain by the reservoir, pain in my overstuffed and tender ballsack, pain on my shaft being stretched, pain near the glans from these protruding tips, pain in my whole core when I sneeze or engage my abs in any way.

I have been trying to cut back on the painkillers because they were causing constipation, but this is very uncomfortable right now.

I second stepone on this. Measurements would help you get a good idea of where you stand now and see how much you I'll recover back.

Also the dog ears are a very good sign! That means that when inflated there is a very good chance your implant was properly sized, which is what you can expect from Dr Hakky.

It does seem you are recovering fine. Fingers crossed for you in the weeks ahead!

Day 10

Cycling is very painful especially handling the pump! I'm not sure if this is normal or if maybe this is an infection or something? Even when I'm on oxycodone it still hurts so so much to squeeze that damn pump!   

I can handle the discomfort once I get inflated, but the process of inflating is such hell right now. Is this normal?

Is that a bone-pressed measurement? I'm at 6.5" with a 20cm+1rte implant. Yours is 5cm longer. I lost about an inch from pre-op. My glans does engorge when aroused, but it gets confusing sometimes.

I see. Glans engorgement may be a factor but I don't think it's important. Arousal is probably what matters most. Forget the glans for now and heal for a few weeks. It's a different life from what you knew.

Hmm. I was 11cm outside, 10cm inside. I still don't get it. But we're all different. I've read that glans engorgement varies for emplantees. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Sensation is more important IMO.

Glan filling. My doctor told me if my glans filled prior to surgery with or without silendefil or other medications, then they would fill with or without medications after surgery.
He said glan filling is not affected by the surgery.

My doctor said there was a possibility of having a "floppy glans" after surgery, and there were meds for that. I took that to mean the glans might not fill.

Reading your journal brings back memories for sure. At the two week mark, I was still in so much pain I could hardly walk. I was concerned my reservoir pain was not normal and I'd have to live with feeling that everyday. At 2 months out it was like it never happened. It's natural to worry in this process, and pain is absolutely to be expected. Cycling caused most of my pain. I remember posting about a week out concerned that the cyclinder tips were going to burst out of my dick lol. Comical now, but wasn't at the time.

Take it one day at a time man. Everyone heals at their own pace and has different challenges or worries along the way. DM me if you ever have questions.

Day 15

Pain has dropped to 0/10 when I am just laying around, 3/10 when I am out and about, and 5/10 when I am cycling.

Handling the pump no longer hurts very much, it is just the discomfort of being inflated now that causes pain.

I am completely off painkillers and starting to resume a semi-normal life.


One thing that bothers me is the bottom of my pump seems to be stuck to my ballsack.

Day 27

Pain when deflated is virtually nonexistent, and pain when inflated is down to ~3/10. This makes me a bit sad because pain is gain!

I am now able to do basically everything I could do before. Sitting in hard chairs is uncomfortable thought...

One lingering issue I have is the side of my scrotum with all the tubing in it (and the side my reservoir is on) is still inflamed. It is tender and puffy and the testicle is not very free to move. Also, since my implant was so oversized, when I am deflated those big cylinders have to go somewhere and so they form a mess of dog ears near the base that can be pretty uncomfortable jabbing around everywhere.

I masturbated and my glans were able to inflate to the same extent as before the implant. However, I am still concerned that one of the pointy cylinder ends is very very close to the sidewall of my penis head. I am getting an ultrasound in a couple weeks and that will tell if this is really a problem.

Overall I feel like I have turned a corner and have returned to my life as it was before. Just with the difference of having to keep a semi hard dog-eared penis contained at all times. I almost want to tape it to my stomach so it won't flop into compromising positions if I move wrong  .

Day 53

My pump has unstuck itself from my scrotum which feels amazing and my right testicle has settled down and is now hanging more normally. My dog ears have softened a bit and now my flaccid penis hangs pretty normally. I rather like having a long flaccid penis for the first time in my life, and I don't even care that it shows a tad bit through my pants/shorts because it looks natural. Cycling is uncomfortable but not too bad. My length is the same as it ever was (~6.5 inches) but my girth is a bit skinnier than it was before I ruined my penis. I haven't had sex yet but I have been masturbating and I am very pleased that now I don't come in 30 seconds like I used to with my damaged penis pre-implant.

Psychologically I am hornier than I have been in years. I guess my awful feelings about my penis had been killing my sex drive, but not any more. Also I am hardly even thinking about this implant at all any more. It feels so so good after having been tortured by thoughts about my penis for many years.

On the whole I am very very happy with this implant!!!

Day 95

I had my first sexual experience with the implant and it was the best sex I have had in YEARS.

It was very late at night and I had been drinking a lot and jumped around / danced a lot so I was pretty exhausted. Also, we had done some foreplay but then I realized I had to go buy a condom which took a pretty long time and then walk all the way back to her house. By that point it was like 6 in the morning and the conditions were definitely not optimal, but being able to instantly have a rock hard penis got me back in the mood again and it was a great time.

Only complaint would be that I don't have anywhere near the stability at the base that I used to have. My dick doesn't stick up at a good angle any more and isn't very stable. This was a bummer.

But after having spent so many years not being able to enjoy nights like that one because in the back of my mind thinking I wouldn't be able to get hard, this was simply amazing. My dick's performance wasn't perfect of course because of the stability issues and a loss of sensitivity, but definitely a dramatic improvement over where I was before.

Thanks for your message Pfract. What I mean is that my erection now is able to wiggle significantly back and forth and up and down. The coloplast rep who had an implant himself said this is normal and that I should not expect to be able to do certain positions such as lifting the girl up in front of me because that requires the erection itself to be able to hold a significant amount of weight while still maintaining that nice 2 o clock or 3 o clock angle.

My situation now is 3 o clock angle but if I press downward on the end of the penis then it will readily move to 4 o clock, which makes such positions impossible.

I shouldn't have said it readily moves to 4 o clock, more like 3:30...

But it also moves upward freely too, probably up to 2 o clock.

So this means it has wiggle from 2 o clock to 3:30, almost as if the portion of the implant inside my body is not super firmly rooted.

However the coloplast guy did tell me about this phenomenon even before I myself started experiencing it. He told me don't expect to be able to do certain positions. He said it is really good for having sex on your side though so that's good I will have to try it next time.
