Hi Everyone,

It's been a while since I posted and wanted to post an update with a question. Below is a link to my original post re: possible Peyronies:

https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,20064.msg165982.html#msg165982

I had the appointment with my urologist in February. He did not do an ultrasound but did examine the photos I'd taken of my penis in various states and did a thorough physical examination. He said that he did not feel any calcification and that, usually, it would feel "like a pebble" under the skin but my penis felt soft - even the portions with possible collagen deposits.

All in all, he said it was good news because, when erect, my penis was still basically completely straight and, even the photos when semi-erect, it seemed only, like, 20-25 degree curving.

He prescribed me Pentox and another medication that I can't recall which my insurance refused to cover. I filled the Pentox prescription but have not taken it because it makes me nervous.

I have not had sex since this started, mostly because I've been very focused at work, but, also, because, honestly, I'm nervous. Of course, I'll eventually have sex and I'm reasonably sure it will go well but I'd like the next person I have sex with to be someone I trust and like since I do have some mental hangups regarding the situation and that's more difficult to find than just a sex partner.

Another reason is... the skin around the head of my penis still feels very sensitive and sort of inflamed. On the right side, it almost feels like there's a cut that won't heal and I wonder if that's because of heretofore unknown collagen beneath the surface stretching the skin out.

The skin feels very tight when my penis is erect. The left side still feels "less full" than the right (this is the direction where my semi-erect penis was forced to bend during the incident) but overall my penis seems pretty close to what is was before. I estimate I've lost maybe 1/2" in length (maybe less) and maybe about 1/4" in circumference. I'm not positive about this but of course I'm hoping it will return to its original size.

I'm curious if anyone else has had issues related to their skin becoming irritated. If I masturbate once a day for, say, a week, there seems to be a cumulative effect and the penis becomes more irritated and I feel like I need to cut it out, which I'd rather not do.

Likewise, I'm super curious about how I can have collagen without some of the warping effects described here and elsewhere. What the hell? is it really all down to whether or not the collagen calcifies or are there different types of collagen that could be present?

And, obviously, would love to stretch out or dissolve these collagens if anyone has any ideas.

Thank you for listening and blessings to all of you!

Skin irritation of the penis is common if sex is vigorous and without proper lube. I don't know if that is your case. Have you ever used VED therapy or traction? It could help you restore your lost length and help even things out. Diagnosing yourself with collagen in your penis is questionable. You really needed an erect ultrasound to get a clearer picture of whats going on inside of your penis. Abstaining from sex to let things heal is good.
