Hi all, just been diagnosed after a 2 month stuff around! i have gone from nothing(no trauma at all involved, been married twelve yrs) to large indent with pain(and a bit of ED) and just had ultrasound confirming two lumps. Spoke to GP today who told me i had Peyronies Disease and there was nothing she could do about it! LOL I demanded a referral for a uro and was told to find one and she would send it to them, thanks for nothing! I,m in Australia and there doesn't seem to be a lot of help here, Im 35yrs old and any advice would be appreciated as it still works at the moment(sort of) but has me very worried.

The reason you get no answers on this topic is that you get already answers on your other topics.
Anyway, you succeed to get Pentox? You have stated you will update the forum. Some progress?
George has written you on his post from December 15, 2011 names, phone no. and addresses of a few uro's in Australia.

Hi Jut,

I got it at 29, now 32. I had symptoms similar to yours at first. I would suggest getting on Pentoxyfylline, a drug which has been shown to stop inflammation and in some cases reduce the size of scar tissue. It is not a cure but it is one of the better treatments around. Perhaps you could call around to specialist urologists and ask if they are willing to prescribe Pentox. There are two studies located here showing the efficacy of pentox: https://www.peyroniesforum.net/index.php/topic,772.0.html

The reason your GP could not provide any treatments is that this disease is not well understood, even though a lot of men suffer from it (estimates vary from 1%-6% of men). I'm in the United States so I don't know who the best urologist is in your area, so maybe another forum member from Australia can chime in.

Best of luck,
