Is Urologist right about VED?

Hi Everyone,

A few months ago I asked my urologist about using a VED or penis pump as a way of rehab. I have been on this forum for about a year now and it seems like the consensus is that it is good. However, the Urologist says he recommends against it as it can cause more damage to my penis. His reasoning is that I have excellent venous trapping and blood flow and using a pump could damage this and lead me to have a worse problem. I am able to get nightly erection, albeit not great ones, and I am able to get an erection while awake, however also not great, so I am concerned about ending up with erectile dysfunction as a result.

Question is, does using a pump or VED cause damage to your penis and end up with scar tissue and fibrosis? Could I use it safely without causing issues? Do most men who use a pump here already have venous leakage and ED? I am taking generic tadalafil 5mg daily for 6 months and it doesn't feel like it does anything. This Dr's approach has been wait and see and it feels like we're doing nothing. I have appointments with other Urologists, but given how dismissive or unknowledgeable the Dr's have been I my have to take matters into my own hands. Just reluctant about using more damage.

Thank you for reading and offering your knowledge and opinions.

I would say a pump with a gauge is a must. Then use it and follow the forums protocol. It would be very unlikely it would cause damage if you follow the protocols on here.

Following the forums protocol will not harm you. Following a Dr that says do nothing possibly could. Remember that the experience's here and the knowledge that is presented to you is way above a lot of Dr's. Sure they are urologists but how many peyronies cases have they treated? If you are nervous then get a pump with a pressure gauge and make sure you never pump over 5Hg, you will be fine.

Agree with Mike. I went 3 years doing nothing, just supplements and some cialis/viagra here and there in cycles. I've done VED for a very short time following the protocols on here and I wish I would have done it much sooner. I do not know what results I will get with time or if I even will get any but it feels good to have a lot more blood down there daily, less of the turtling effect and so on..

I never go over 5Hg.

Question for both of you, does using a VED change how your penis is while flaccid. Basically are you walking around with more of a chub and elongated penis given how it stretches and fills it? I think its the right approach for me, as opposed to RestoreX which looks like it will cause more harm than good, but I have never seen one in person or seen it used so I have no idea what to expect.

For me it has. It's definitely filled with more blood, more warm, more ''meaty'' flaccid hang so to say. But one must use it with caution because using it wrongly will most definitely cause more damage. It is far too soon for me to speak of any effects/results but once I have been on this routine for around 6 months to a year I will definitely make a thread on here with before/after pics to document if it did any good or not in terms of indents/curve/ED.

Hopefully that will be helpful.

I took ''before pics'' right before starting using it. This way I can document if any results are seen. I recommend anyone doing this.

Has anyone here lost any size with the Peyronies? I'm getting wave acoustic therapy done to help fix my shape and ED. But I've lost 2in in length and want my size back.
I ordered the Bathmate last night. So my next plan is to attack the size issue.
Anyone here have luck getting your size back? Did you get more than your lost size?

If you have Peyronies, bathmate is a horrible idea. First off it has no pressure gauge, meaning it will be very difficult to know wether you are under too much pressure or not. Secondly the pressure with the bathmate is in the higher zones. I would say to pump with Peyronies it is crucial to have the rightly sized cylinder and just as crucial to have a pressure gauge so you can monitor how much pressure is being applied so you can stay in the same pressure zone every time you pump and to avoid further risk of injury. Just google ''bathmate injury'' so many threads on people who have damaged themselves with this device. It's really more of a sex toy than a real quality pump.

I would recommend against using the Bathmate for injurious reasons.
